What I said its the obvious truth na.....Yorubas backstab, condemn, attack, join Hausa-Fulani to marginalize Igbos politically and economically in Nigeria out of whatever reason best known to them.....since they hate Igbos that much and love Hausa-Fulanis so much, why can't they remove eye from Igbo ladies and marry more Hausa-Fulani girls they love, why is it difficult for them to do, whyhuh

You cannot hate something and still desire to have that thing na, is it not madnesshuh

Once its politics time, they wear their tall agbada and long cap and head to Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Sokoto.....to discuss how Igbos will never become President......but when its time to marry fear won't let them go to their almajiri friends up north to marry, the will now rush back to Igbos they hate to start acting pretentious lovey dovey nonsense, I blame the Igbo girls stupidly accepting to marry them....and mostly their father who ought to chase them out of his compound with long cutlass, I hate nonsense angry angry
you've come with this "marginalization" nonsense again....

how can you marginalize an ethnic nation that has at least 5 states to themselves and some of the states have crude oil, large deposits of coal, large reserves of gas, fertile soil for agriculture e.t.c. huh huh

igbos are not marginalized , if igbos are marginalized what do you want ethnic nations that don't have any state to themselves to sayhuh huh

Reason for this option is that taking a flight will take about 15mins, which is almost like the plane taking off and landing immediately. This is technically risky, hence the ferry option.
adioolayi:
Asides this, the logistics of flying the players will take about 7hrs in total....

2hrs from hotel on Island to Airport at Ikeja, 1-2hrs for airport protocols and check-in...1-2 hours for arrival and clearance at Benin Republic airport ,..and add CoVID19 test too...come add moving from the airport to their hotel...

Whereas, waterways option is about 1 and half hours. it takes 10min drive from their hotel to water terminal

When the industries are not on ground yet, we have to first exploit the market for our current production.

With time, we can set up processing industries.

Although there's the problem of short-sighted government policies, lack of infrastructure, lack of honest human capital, and lack of standards. With Nafdac collecting kickbacks and bribes, it's almost impossible to enforce international food standards.

I hardly see any strong Economy lining up to offtake coca products produced in Nigeria with out current realities.

The business aspect may be far more challenging than you can see on the surface.
there's a problem of if you are not from northern Nigeria you will not get govt support and loans...

Because we have to be realistic.

Oil is not sufficient for our needs. Plus we don't control its price.

Also, our tax to gdp is very low. Ghana , SOuth Africa and even Niger have higher tax to gdp ratio than we do. At some point, we have to expand the tax base to everyone, not just some people paying for the rest.
you have to be realistic...

those countries you mentioned have smaller population than Nigeria... so most of our ratios will be low...

the tax to gdp in the SW, SS and SE are not low... so you have to be realistic not we.

1. You need money to invest in infrastructure .Taxation comes in there

2.We are in debt because the price of oil is too low for a nation our size

Google breakeven oil price

3. True about France. But countries like Denmark and Finland also have similar high tax to gdp ratios and i don't recall them exploiting african countries

3.
you're that tax to gdp guy ( Godarz PhiliptheArab ) are your other monikers..

the point is not just only taxation can give the money to invest... but you're focusing on taxation..
Christianity EtcRe: Oyedepo Commissions Construction Of The Ark (pictures) by codemaniacs: 3:36am On Mar 26, 2021
Subsidybad21:
Nope. Serious nations have a wide enough tax base. As for exports....what matters is who controls the price. We are in debt because we don't control the price of our exports. Yes, we don't control the price of oil, and before that, our agro and mineral products.

Industrial nations are not in debt like us, because they can set the price of the manufactured goods they export...and thus earn enough cash.

And they produce more oil than we do. That's why they are rich

A family of 15 on a monthly income of N200000 would appear poorer than a family of three on the same income.

Actually, that's not true.

Most developed and developing countries get a large chunk of budget funding from taxes.

France for example can afford free educaiton because it has a tax to gdp ratio of 43%, while Nigeria can't because we have a tax to gdp ratio of 6.1%
we are in debt because we don't invest in infrastructure.

we are in debt because we buy from developed countries and not from ourselves ( fellow Nigerians ).

most developed and other countries spend a large chunk of their budget on salaries. france can afford free education because it sucks revenue from at least 15 african countries.

Subsidybad21:
Where do they get the money for investing in infrastructure?

Taxes, and indirectly industrialization...which also provides a justification for infrastructure.

Nigeria's revenue from oil is not enough for us, and the corruption we practice makes the matter worse. At best we earn just as much as the UAE. The issue is the UAE has eleven million people, and we have 200million more.

Also, industrialization means more money, means more taxes....
Money for infrastructure can be gotten from loans, exports, charity etc.

UA:E has only about 3 million emiratis the rest are migrants not indigenes.

Taxes are not compulsory for investing in infrastructure.

That comes under the platform of income inequity, a common issue in many developed and developing country.

But if we want a better life, we must industrialize, and also pay the taxes needed to provide that life, and also do the hard work of holding the political class responsible at all levels.

That's because most Nigerians are waiting for a hero, not a leader. A hero who will do the heavy lifting for us, while we sleep on beds of gold and silver and drink milk and honey from golden cups.....

Meanwhile developed countries work in part because people have made holding their leaders to account a national hobby. And yes, those leaders used to be too harsh to them even in recent times

Here in Nigeria, we just want someone to come and save us from all our troubles. We want a leader who somehow can also hold himself accountable without us having to lift a finger..
Developed countries work because they invest in infrastructure not because the citizens pay taxes nor industrialize.

What change?

All Oyedepo can do is simply tell his followers and sheep to vote for the 'right' candidate.

His church does not have the resources to build the type of infrastructure that our country has...unless you want him to run for office.

As for why our politicians are greedy....it is because when we vote for them, we go home afterwards and forget the most important aspect of demcoracy...putting pressure on our leaders. Also, Nigerians expect a Canadian lifestyle from an income not up to one thrid of Canada's, and won't vote the leaders needed to improve our income.
A Nigerian's income does not need to be up to one thrid of Canada's for a Nigerian to live comfortably... some parts of Nigeria like parts of abuja, lagos, enugu e.t.c have similar infrastructure with developed countries and Nigerians are according to you "living a Canadian lifestyle" in those areas and they don't earn an income up to one thrid of Canada's...

who you vote in Nigeria is almost irrelevant, right from the time of zik its been the same circus of s:ecessionist agitations, corruptions e.t.c.

SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by codemaniacs: 2:03pm On Mar 24, 2021
Schemerkhiz:
She dazzles, she frustrates. Why undoubtedly talented Oshoala needs to up her game

Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala has seen it all in women’s football. The 26 year old striker has proven herself as one of the world’s most devastating finishers in the women’s game, doing her thing in the Nigerian Women Football League with FC Robo and Rivers Angels, from where the national team scouts noticed her as a teenage sensation and she went on to earn the golden boot and golden ball at the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, and has been a part of the Super Falcons set up since 2013.

Her performances have earned her stints in England with Liverpool and Arsenal Ladies, as well as in China with Dalian Quanjian FC. It was however her move to Spain with FC Barcelona that has seen her perform at her best.

Oshoala joined Barcelona in 2019 on loan from her Chinese side initially, but after a brilliant year, the Spanish giants decided to make the move permanent.

Since then, she has gone on to score a whopping 42 goals in 46 appearances for her side, including their only goal in the 2019 UEFA Women’s Champions League final 4-1 defeat to Lyon which made her the first African to find the back of the net in the Women’s Champions League final ever.

In spite of her brilliance, Oshoala has failed to break into the first eleven at Barcelona, and has continuously been used on the periphery as a substitute.

The reason for this may be unclear, but her unwillingness to pass the ball in certain occasions to better placed teammates seems to be a factor to this.

A good example of this situation was seen in FC Barcelona’s 4-0 win over Rayo Vallecano today, when at 1-0 Oshoala carried the ball half the length of the pitch and had teammate Lieke Martens across her in acres of space, but she chose to shoot from a tight angle, hitting the goalkeeper in the process and the chance went begging.

This and many other such chances missed have caused fans of the club to have different opinions on whether Oshoala is needed at the club or not. She eventually scored the second of her side’s four goals with a show of her trademark pace and quality finishing.

Now 26 and at the peak of her powers, the Super Falcons captain must learn to play more with her teammates as this may hinder her from winning some of the biggest prizes in women’s football.

As a player, she is good enough to be in the shout for the women’s Ballon d’Or, but making plays such as these would almost certainly keep her on the fringes at Barca, and you can’t win the biggest prizes from the fringes.

However, any educational institution needs one ingredient to become well grounded and reputable, and that is TIME.

Harvard is older than the United States. Oxford and Cambridge are hundreds of years old. Alexandria is THOUSANDS of years old!

Import all the professors, the college begins to make a name for itself when its own products become Professors themselves and begin to make impact.
any institution needs a good recruitment structure to become well grounded and reputable. time is not relevant, its the employees and how well the employees do their jobs that's relevant.
