WowSweetGuy: Dangote is d same thing as Govt.
If u know u know oscarline2002: Very soon Nigeria will be operating on Monopolistic economy where only an individual will determine market forces on goods and services.
Government has the audacity to finance a huge refinery of that magnitude but cannot build public refineries, even the commonest of all, modular refineries became a deadlock after serious national discussions and debates by professionals and economist of its important to the deregulation of the downstream of the oil sector.
Our leaders especially this present government have sectarian interest in all their dealings. Only favouring a particular region but yet poverty stricken North cannot even realize itself to come to 21st century realities.
Dangote has destroyed so many businesses who are marketing the same product with him in the market. He controls and regulate the price regime at will. How can a country grow that does not want competition? Let the richest man come from the North, and the ass licking Northerners are happy they have the richest man.
Insane country with mad men in it. Dangote is a private company, but due to the fact his from northern Nigeria, his fellow northern politicians/Senators will push policies that favor him and his business. its the same reason borders were opened for him and B:U:A.... oscarline2002 stop saying "our leaders", because your leaders are senators/politicians who have the same ethnicity as you, so a senator that is not the same ethnicity as you is not your leader. when crude was selling over $100 GEJ and his fellow southern senators/politicians could have built Bayelsa petroleum company, Akwa-ibom petroleum company, rivers petroleum company e.t.c. but they didn't... |

fedorahat: This Falana don't have sense Does he not know that government involvement in business kills private interest, Even if they manage to build one, the are not meant to run it but hand it over to private professionals to handle. Government has no business doing business, and refineries are a business not a dividend of democracy. fedorahat: When government gets involved in business it drives potential investors away as it does not level the playing ground, they can enter partnerships fund PPP amongst other things. The only time government should undertake a project is if there is no willing investor and it is a must have, even at that it should not be managed by them. As far as am concerned we have a lot of willing investors in the Nigerian oil industry. the government of any country is the first local investor of that country... so saying "Government has no business doing business" is pure foolishness... the biggest companies in the world have their indigenous government as investors... in most of this countries, the govt. and its citizens are the same ethnicity which means no room for discrimanation. ... In Nigeria, refineries weren't built because southern Nigeria has foolish leaders... dangote's refinery will mostly have northerners in the employment since its not government owned it means there's no room for federal character ( representation of multiple ethnic nations )... |

If you still need hyperlinks to these people's condemnation of the nefarious activities of herdsmen in SW, kindly Google their names against the topic. Thank you. Alaafin of oyo said "took proactive steps to stem the tide and to amicably normalise relations between farmers and herders" he never condemned the h:erdsmen. Olubadan of ibadan said "blaming the Fulani or a particular ethnic group for insecurity in the country would only further breed disunity in the country and should not be allowed" he never condemned the h:erdsmen. Awoleesu: This man is either ignorant of the structure and operations of the Fulani nomadic system or has barely lost touch with the reality of the politics of 'Northernizarion'...
His recommendations are no doubt positive, and contributory to solving the prevailing problems of "herders/farmers" clashes. However, Tinubu may have directed his suggestion thrust at empowering the regular and visible day-to-day cattle herder, while missing out the approach of protecting the investment and political interests of the real cattle owners!
Fact is, the real cattle owners are very wealthy people, most of whom are engaged in many other dark dealings, trading trans sahara and across. They do not need the kind of 'empowerment' Tinubu is talking about! And their interests transcend such simplicities as survival or economic goals. May I be explicit to inform Mr. Jagaban that they are carrying out an expansionist crusade! A movement that right from its roots doesn't believe in shared prosperity! They want to possess and control all resources; they believe in the conquest mentality! So, these ideas Tinubu is propounding would only, at best sound farcical to them! ( if you doubt my position, wait for a rejoinder from the likes of Myetti Allah on Tinubu's statement).
The ideas and suggestions contained in Tinubu's readings are only workable in a sound and progressive society... Unfortunately, Nigeria is not one! nedekid: He knows. Weak currency is irrelevant. If Nigeria was very developed with good infrastructure, no one would think about leaving.. Look at middle eastern countries, they have oil dependent economies which don't always have the best job availability or currencies. But their people aren't leaving those countries except to go on holiday. those countries have population of 3 million and their GDP is about $400billion annually.. the UAE has an annual GDP of $354billion and 1.4million indigenes. $354billion divided by 1.4 million is equal to $252,857 per year for one indigene only. that's ₦96,401,731 per year for one person.. if you were earning ₦96,401,731 per year in Nigeria will you ever leave Nigeria |

Koats14: Sale Alert
Bought: $17.99 at NameLiquidate SV: DNWE BIN: $99 SP: $104 Net: $(99-17.99) = $81.01 Sales Type: Inbound (curated list) Hold Time: 55 days Days spent on DNWE: 6days
Shout out to my brother Adesarm for telling me about DNWE, he said some sold names within 24hrs, I sold within 6days. Evident that it is pure fact wholesale buyers are lurking around on the site.
DNWE is a wholesale marketplace. You pay monthly subscription of $14.99 or yearly $149. They have a curated section (better chances to sell as there are usually less than 200 names here, they review the name before accepting just like other brandable platforms) and non-curated section (any names are accepted to be published here).
Do your due diligence to research before subscribing. I got just one approval into the curated section out of 22. The only approval is the sale report you're reading so. If you decide to subscribe, I noticed names with higher GoDaddy appraisal and fair asking prices are part of the criteria for acceptance. Additional tip is if the name is registered in 3 or more extensions.
I know I sold low, it's a fair deal to me and a fast one. I wish the buyer the best.
PS: sales on DNWE are finalised on DAN, the buyer pays for the charges hence the higher SP.
March, be filled with sales! they don't use payoneer, can DAN pay directly to local bank or is domiciliary account needed |

Incognito403: Please leave those naive teenagers to continue ranting.
Real bread winners know the impact of such boycott.
It's plain ignorance to say southern Nigeria can feed itself. How?
We have a forest vegetation, there's a limit to how much of our land can be used for farming.
Most of us are into white collar jobs, only very few are into agriculture.
And most importantly, majority of our agriculture is cash crop; cocoa, kolanut, cashew etc not whole food.
As for meat. We all know that chicken and fish are only for supporting beef at home and in occasions.
Without beef, all the chicken in SW can't feed Lagos alone. Do you not see that we even import frozen foods to supplement the supply of chicken ? That's even when beef was present. I swear, if this boycott continues for just two weeks, some people will start eating lizards.
Our diversity should push us to compliment one another. But no, greed and foolishness is pushing people to a foolish supremacy battle that characterizes the animal kingdom.
Typical NIG.GER attitude.
Read about "bigger moments" on google, you'll see just how foolish you've been for supporting this rubbish. stop saying rubbish. every region in Nigeria has its traditional foods and these foods are not grown by northerners... so how can they stop the entire southern Nigeria from eating their indigenous traditional foods.. in summary, there are foods the SW grows and eats that the SE and north does not eat and vice versa. |

Plus as you can see Nigeria has a low tax to gdp ratio, even when we go state by state, region by region. The fact is, even if we cut the populaiton of Nigeria to just Southerners as you postulated, it would still be very very low. Most people don't pay adequate tax. Documents are written by people who can make up anything to suit their agenda. In countries that have high tax to GDP their high taxes are from employed people. Nigeria has low tax to GDP because of the high unemployment rate and that's one of the reasons why to any realistic person Lagos will have the highest tax to GDP ratio. But you are a documents person so your knowledge is limited to piece of papers. |
