janellemonae: I have come to realize since 2014 dt the igbos are the worst tribe in Nigeria. Very manipulative, loudmouthed set of people. Up is down to them & they will twist every lie to make it so. Not for any noble cause but just to greedily get their way.
Really wish I wasn't in d same country with. What gives me joy is dt the bible appropriately describes the outcome wt people like dt. You would rather be with a tribe that its main goal is kill southerners It gives me joy that the bible is full of fictional stories and the outcome of people like that can never be predicted.. |

If and when you understand the meaning of that statement, you will understand my initial comment. I just wonder where tribalism will take you....
Lastly, you really need to learn to read, or at least let someone read for you and interpret, i never mentioned anything related to "Middle eastern religion", what does that even mean sef? not aware of any religion by that name...

rose54321: Like seriously
Though i didnt read the entire article but if the headline portrays the crux of it all, then he need some serious flogging..
We are all first defined by our religion, nationality then LASTLY by our region, i.e. Christian, Nigerian then Yoruba. SO as Nigerians we should constructively criticize our leaders when they flop and praise them when they perform.
Rubbish.?? If northerners like let them follow this suggestion, 2019 will shock all of una
Lastly, Mr. Emir just to be clear, even if as Nigerians we agree that fixing the rot of 16 years will take time, is that why: 1) Mr. President keeps appointing northerners? 2) Is what why Mr. Kyari keeps dictating to ministries how they should run their affairs? 3) Is that why no system has been put in place for managing supplies to IDP in-spite of weekly missing supplies? 4) Is that why you are involuntarily retiring civil servants? 5) Is that why the first lady keeps using our national cake to distribute rice to APC state offices? 6) Is that why no official statement has been released on fulani attacks? 7) Is that why our revenue is to be used to build cattle ranches for hausas? the list is endless..... how dare you put middle eastern religions before Africans this is your own opinion... To me, tribe comes before country and religion.. |

Why do we like to deceive ourselves? Na who do us this thing? Delta state is located in western Nigeria.. If gowon didn't subjugate southern Nigeria by creating states.. Delta state would be seen as yorubaland and not south south.. Even oil rich parts of the eastern region located in igboland was giving to south south... 90% of Niger delta is yorubaland... Onegai: I think the referral letter came from one of the hospitals who diagnosed the cancer. Though I'm confused: I thought I read a report that her sister said it was 3 consultants who studied her case and eventually started suspecting cancer and that happened at LUTH. But she's not been there long enough. I'm rather confused now. I believe what happened was that some medical person from one of the hospitals she went to, saw the online social media financial drive and contacted the people organising it that her case was actually very bad and probably not operable. So those organisers then felt the family was trying to scam the public by raising money for a case that was not going to end well, most likely. The public erred because they read the initial broadcast, didn't understand she had stage 4 cancer which had spread plus sickle cell anaemia and assumed all she needed was surgery and care to recover.
If I knew all those, I would pray for her but assume the worst. Sickle cell and cancer is like having a car accident and then having another car accident in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. Only God can help her and the family can do what they can, but truly this is not one of those issues throwing money at will solve. Ecclesiastes 10: 19 money answers everything. I believe the actress wanted a percentage of the funds and the family declined, then the actress told the blogger and it led to this. |

iwadobo: Aguyi was killed because he introduced unitary system which means all wealth ,be it in the north or south belongs to all Nigerians. That was his undoing . The north felt that their money would be used to run Nigeria and they have to hurriedly kill him . They were about to declare independence when they were advised that the bulk of the money being used to run Nigeria Wass from oil and not groundnut . Unfortunately, those that hated unitary system to the extent of committing mass murder for it, embraced it when they discovered that it is another man's money that is to be shared all over Nigeria. Today, no one loves the unitary system more than the Hausa. That is the Nigeria ,our so called country. Nigeria is a fraud hate. Most igbos don't know that northern politicians realised that the south was and are still richer them.. Most of Nigeria's revenue was from the SW and the coming of oil would have made the entire south very rich.. Foreigners knew they couldn't control southerners that's why they warned and prevented the north from seceding. |

Too much money has been put into exploration of oil in the north and nothing has been found. Oil could be found in large quantity in the south west if he makes the same efforts ,but pmb will not intensify efforts to search for oil in Yoruba land which has more hydrocarbon deposits than the entire north. south west does not need oil. marshborn: A friend of mine was involved in a a motor accident on his way makurdi, somewhere in a remote part of benue state, according to eye witnesses he became unconscious and was rushed to the local health centre around that area for first aid treatment.
The good samaritans that helped were able to locate his two phones and they tried contacting his family or friends to inform them of his where about, but to their disappointment the two phones were locked. He stayed in the state of coma for two good days before finally giving up the ghost, because the local health centre lacked the professionals to keep him alive. Had his phone been accessible he might have stood a better chance of being alive today.
So avoid putting a screen lock on all your phones, it's okay to lock certain applications that may contain personal messages and informations e.g mobile banking app, WhatsApp e.t.c. but at least leave the contact list accessible to everybody, DON'T PUT A SCREEN LOCK. This might just save your life. Then all the staff at the health center should be sacked and replaced with qualified staff.. |

Ngozi123: You do realise that the Nigerian Civil War is commonly referred to as the Biafran War, right? It's not unusual for a war or any other important national event to have more than one name.
As for the rest of your post, well, what can I say other than to thank you for proving my point above. What evidence do you have to support your claims about Ojukwu? How could Ojukwu have decided to "attack Nigeria" because Igbos 'lost' power when it was Nigeria that declared war on Biafra, not the other way around? This is what I meant when I said that there is a lack of intellectual discourse on the matter; if you had studied this war in depth and read from a wide range of sources then you would see that there are some large gaps in what you have learnt. History is like one of those 1 million-piece puzzles; you won't be able to see the full picture until all the pieces are in place. If ojukwu wanted biafra all they had to do was defend the eastern region. but they were advancing towards the SW it was when they reached ondo that their downfall started.. Ojukwu wanted conquer Nigeria by killing most south westerners.... We don't hear edo/bini indigenes talk about what igbos did to them because the igbos had a very high casualty figure... North tried the same thing in 1800s but the SW dealt with them... Its a shame that t:inubu would partner with ancestral enemies just for political power. |

Ngozi123: I would create a thread about the lack of intellectual discourse on the Biafran War but I'm sure that it'd be closed as soon as I opened it...
The government doesn't realise that by failing to teach it's citizens about the war and being as impartial about it as possible, they leave it in the hands of our elders to teach us about it. For the non-Biafrans, it is a mere footnote in many of their minds as most of them were not greatly affected by the war. For the Biafrans, the war holds much sentimental value as most were/still are affected by it. This means that both sides are getting the bulk of their information from bias viewpoints that have been heavily influenced by propaganda. I think that they did this on purpose because anyone who has studied the Biafran War in some detail will tell you that history is indeed repeating itself. There was no biafran war... It was a civil war not a biafran war.. It was majorly a SE vs SW war.. After ironsi was killed ojukwu realised igbos were no longer in power and had lost control of its resources due to ironsi making Nigeria a unitary and igbos where getting killed in the NORTH so ojukwu decided to attack Nigeria whose seat of power was Lagos... To attack Nigeria back then, the SW would have to be attacked because the seat of power was in Lagos. It wasn't a NORTH vs SE war.. |

princey83: Half of my Engineering Physics degree was spent studying Nuclear Engineering and materials science. I now currently work in the electrical engineering industry. Most of the countries listed above are already trying to get rid of their nuclear generating station for sustainable means of generating electricity. Money that would be spent on research purposes for nuclear source of power should instead be spent on making sustainable energy more efficient.
The cooperation i currently work for has a mix of hydro, wind, heat recovery from biomass, solar and coal. Coal being the source with the largest input, but most of the research at my work place is focused on making coal cleaner as it's still the cheapest source of generating power.
I heard Enugu has a large coal deposit. Nigeria should make use of that, and focus some research on making coal cleaner. There are lots of Nigerian born stationary/steam engineers in North america that would relocate to Nigeria if the country embraces coal. kmega08: Electricity from Nuclear Energy is quite cheap and clean, but the risks involved are pretty much. Add the peculiar nature of Nigeria, it is an absolute no go area for me. I still think our best shot in solving our power issues is in our huge coal reserves. Gas has not done it for us. Militancy and pipe line vandalism isn't going away any time soon. I know some people will say coal is not clean and all the other global warming issues. That should not deter us at all. We should not allow that to hinder us from growing our economy. US, China and other nations that emit the most green house gases are not doing as much as they are preaching to reduce the gas emissions. When we are developed, we can join the clamour to reduce emission of green house gases and solve the climate change issues. Coal remains the easiest and fastest way for us to solve our energy challenge. You guys should use your brains(no insult intended).... coal has been there for centuries and it has been ignored.. Nigeria is mostly controlled and governed by people that hate southerners and don't want to see them succeed.. If the coal was in the north, do you think it would be ignored.... the igbos or other southerners are the only ones that can come together and build the coal sector and power Nigeria. Nigeria would never invest in Coal as long as it is controlled mostly by those people, Its the same reason why the Oil refineries are not working... but the illiterates in the south keep calling "FG, FG, FG" for help like they think the people that hate them want to help them. the SW is seriously compromising itself... that's why dangote is building a refinery there.. a refinery is one of the quickest ways to destroy the environment and economy of a place.... so its a "win win" fot the people that hate southerners... too bad the SW politics is mostly controlled by a religious bigot. Nigerians need to accept the truth... Tribalism is a serious problem... |
