Even the other regions will pick up. Enlightenment will come. Avenues for wealth will keep growing. With time, right choices will come.
TheGoodJoe:

Look at how we have influencers growing. Look at Music. Look at tech.

These changes will continue until it eclipses those having a strong hold.
if the leagues can't be switched into regions then billionaires from southern Nigeria can create clubs and work the clubs to the NPFL and let private southern Nigerian clubs be dominant in the NPFL...

there are 7 clubs from London in the EPL.
there are 5 clubs from Madrid in La Liga

this can motivate billionaires or investment companies from other regions to invest in creating their own football clubs and lead to the indirect privatization of the league..

most of the things you mention are successful only in southern Nigeria..

All the regions in Nigeria can never have the same level of success and progress at the same time so if you mean only a section of Nigeria will experience rapid growth then you are correct..

if you want the league to be successful today then break it up into regions.

With time, most of the corrupt elites will fade away. Then credible people will run Africa. Then you will see rapid growth. I see it coming.

We can build our leagues with the right management and investments. Until then, Europeans will still use us to play kalo kalo.
Its good that you have a positive outlook..

But the corrupt elites can never ever fade away because they are funded by whyte people.

You can say that for other parts of Africa but for west Africa and other black majority countries in Africa it is terrorism, wars, inflation that you will see in west Africa.

Since Nigeria has a weak currency then building our leagues is a pipe dream unless FG or a private firm can give the league winners the naira equivalent $20m and others get compensated between $1m and $10m based on their final league position then another compensation before the start of a new season.

West Africa is built to self destruct.

Oga in my church here in the uk, on the Sunday of the Afcon final my Oyinbo pastor announced in church wishing Nigerias all the best, some bars and clubs had viewing centres with Afcon in their schedule, at work they talked about the competition. We forget that so many European clubs are now represented in Afcon with many fans around the world keeping tab on their club players. That’s how big Afcon has become. Na bad belle Dey worry people like carragher and those who keep talking down on the event. A billion dollars was spent by the cotedvoire govt on the last Afcon. That’s unprecedented and shows how Afcon has evolved. I bet you with the next one in Morocco, we will be shocked with the popularity as Morocco is even a tourist destination for Europeans. The last APOTY awards and the viewership it receives is a taste of what to expect in Morocco.
That bad belle is called racism.. He won't say the same thing about any other continental competition.

we really need to define what racism is, cos what we are seeing now is a joke. A white man cannot innocently mention monkey anymore or even use it in a statement without we blacks raising eyebrow.
TheLoneCitizen:
It's true blacks are discriminated against but we are also very insecure.

The way we weaponise racism is just sad.

Black Americans insult whites with "shut up, white boy" but whites can't even call you black.
Ashamed of your own skin?
whyte people's racism is about hatred and violence and is not something that should be downplayed because its as a result hating, mal-treating, disrespecting, killing another person because of skin colour and that they are Africans..

whyte Americans have bombed American cities just because the majority of the people living there were black Americans and the city was built by black Americans.

whyte Americans created integration through a black man named MLK with black Americans just to get access to black americans dollars by given them the option of shopping at whyte owned businesses and since black Americans were not and are not tribal they started patronizing whyte owned businesses while ignoring their own black American businesses which led to the black American businesses closing down and going out of business and indirectly killing the black American economy..

years later before he was killed, MLK said he has led his people into a burning building... which means he was regretting integration..

after that, whyte Americans and whyte people in general realized that they could use prominent black people to carry out their racism since the person is black then some black people will support the person blindly. or they can create prominent black people since they control the global financial system.

They are all on the same level in terms of quality.

But in terms of prestige, EURO and Copa América clears this.

Why? Because attention is what buys prestige.

You can't have attention when you're a leftover.

You know the funniest thing, Copa América is played at a time that possibly only 10% of football fans have watched a full 90.

But why is it prestigious? Because it becomes the main topic during this period.

Imagine Nigeria crashing out of AFCON and the first thing on a fan's mind is "thank God he will play against Manchester City."

Now compare that to the thoughts of a Madrid fan when Vinicius exits the Copa América.

AFCON is supposed to be bigger than EUROS.
AFCON is prestigious to Africans..

AFCON is bigger than the EUROS to Africans..

No until we move to off-season. June/July

European football is where football peaks and we have to accept it.

You can't be dragging prime time with European leagues, you'll always lose.

The quality is surely there. What we need now is attention
Goke7:
When will it be big enough? Is it until we beg some European teams to participate cos I no understand Una again for this place
it is already big enough but mainly big to Africans and diaspora Africans ..

As for globally big enough, that will require all the currencies of the African countries to be strong and since Africa did not create the global financial system then it will never ever be big enough because the global financial system ensures that most or all black African countries have bad currencies..

Real Madrid can build a Galactico of Europe's best players.

Can any European team even dare build a frontline of Africa's best players?

Lookman En-Nesyri Salah

Just a frontline.
Klopp did it with Salah and Mane..

Leicester City tried it with Musa and ihenacho.

Leverkusen also have Tella and Boniface..

Restructure Nigeria if you want it to be productive.

Let every region control their economy, ports, security, infrastructure, education, power etc

FG should decongest lagos by opening other ports and also allow also remove the policy of some certain goods must come to lagos ports.

Enough of depending on Niger delta oil. Enough of this monthly sharing allocation. It makes us lazy and can't think outside the box.
All the ports are functional.

There's a port in Rivers state called "PORT Harcourt".

There are also:
Calabar port
Onne port
Warri port.

Oga calm down. Not everything is tribalism.
The busiest and most functionality port in Nigeria is in Lagos. Judging by the fact that we literally import everything, it is only sensible that these products are cheaper here. Housing is another thing entirely. Not like I agree with the article like that but Lagos is relatively cheap. In business, too many competitors eventually drive prices of services and commodities lower. Food is more expensive in Lagos because the state cannot feed itself just yet even though the government has begun the processes it needs to be able to do so. If we didn't import as much as we did, naturally, Lagos' population will gradually reduce

Food is meant to be very cheap in the SE. They also have very good soil for agriculture.

But this your "others are not Black Africans, while we are Black" is very self-defeating, I no lie you. This means, according to you o, we can never be prosperous? huh shocked
Now you are understanding it.

As a nation we are already prosperous but the whyte racists people who control the global currency exchange rate make us poor and not prosperous by giving us racist exchange rate while countries like india are not treated to and subjected to the same racist policies on exchange rate.

While a drastic devaluation is bad for the economy and inhabitants, the major problem we have is that we are not a production oriented country. We don't manufacture as much as India and we still import some produce even when we were once a major producer or actually the number one producer. We produce cassava more than any country, but Thailand Vietnam export more derivatives of cassava than we do. We import ethanol and cassava starch. We imported 20BN worth of palm oil.

A devalued naira would be beneficial once we become more productive. The JPY and SK WON are very devalued, but they are highly productive countries. China still maintains a devalued Yuan. The naira's value isn't the problem, but our production levels.
no matter how productive and production oriented we are and become. it will never change the economy to a positive economy in the global scheme which also means the Nigerian economy will also not change due to the fact that prices of goods are priced almost at the dollar equivalent..

the countries you mentioned are not black African countries and do not qualify to be compared to Nigeria because the skin color of Thailand, China, JPY, SK e.t.c. automatically means they will be favored over black African people and countries no matter how production oriented black Africa becomes.

please stop deceiving yourself that the production levels is the cause.. the Naira to dollar rate will always be very wide....

if we go by your logic then how come in the 1960s without crude oil exports Naira had a good exchange rate with most international currencies despite the low production capacity and levels of that era...

In that case, there is nothing like racism as well. Black people should sit in their countries rather than move to the white man's land then lament racism every 2 seconds. The person I quoted lived in the UK.
There is racism.

Racism created a global financial system that only favors whyte countries that is one of the reasons why black countries can't make enough money to cater to their citizens.

The system is created to ensure black people leave their countries and move to whyte countries.

The major cause of Nigeria's poverty and under-development is the Western institutions that don't want to see any black nation prosper..

It is western influence that made t:inuboooo to devalue the naira which spoilt the purchasing power of every Nigerian.

you guys don't understand their hatred for black people globally especially those in Africa..

india annual budget is ₹48 trillion which is equal to $560 billion ( with a population over 1.4billion people

while Nigeria annual budget is ₦49 trillion which is equal to $30 billion ( with a population of 200million people )..

my point is Western powers claim Nigeria's population is the reason for ₦ Naira's bad currency conversion to the dollar..

but India with a population 7 seven times Nigeria's own is not affected by the same policy that causes Nigeria's bad currency conversion to the dollar..

if you reduce india annual budget to ₹28 trillion similar to Nigeria ₦28 trillion..

india's ₹28 trillion is still equal to $326 billion...

the Naira is a weapon fashioned against Nigeria and Nigerians by the Western powers.
