Jagaban2012: Why have all previous Northern Fulani presidents commanded respect from the end of their regimes until today? There is no election in Nigeria that the incumbent president will not call Abuldsalam to come and help the contestant sign the peace accord....and no more political move that wants to be carried out in Nigeria that will not involve IBB...yet he never leaves his Minna residence...but you see Obasanjo go from one country to the next to hustle.
In fact, it will take a long time for the average Nigerian to realize that the colonial master has handed over administration and rule of the country to the Fuulani people. Except for a few Fulani political and religious leaders, no other regional leader is as revered as them. You could see Saad Abubakar becoming the lifetime leader of all Muslims in Nigeria, as if he were the most religious and holy Muslim in the nation. Meanwhile, there are Muslim kings in every other region, but he is the Muslim leader of them all. This does not occur in Christians. Even the emergence of the Pope is determined by law rather than hereditary. If the incumbent sultan of Sokoto and the heads of all Muslims in the country dies, the next person who will continue to be the heads of all Muslims in Nigeria will also be from Sokoto State, regardless of how juvenile, novice, or unreligious the person is.
Naija, open your eyes. The best solution for this country is a regional government, or true federalism. This unitary system was the ideology of the colonial master and late Queen Elizabeth to control our resources from London. Now that we have gained independence, why are we still tied to the apron of the colonial master and allowing people to be taken advantage of the awkward system of government? The Niger-Delta territory is the goose land laying the eggs for the country to feed on...yet, the standard of living of the average Niger Delta person does not reflect the enrichment of his or her fatherland....degradation and pollution cannot be avoided in the annals of activities in this region.....
Before the British came to amalgamate these colonies for business purposes, Nigeria was made up of various colonies (Kingdoms, Empires, Communities, etc.). After independence, who are those people in the that continue to exploit Nigeria for business or personal gain.....? Nigeria was handed over to the i:gbos. But they still wanted to keep the lucrative jobs outside the igbo region that the british gave them after independence so they started a civil war to keep those jobs but they ended up losing the jobs and losing access to fully profit from their natural resources. |

Igbos go to other parts of the country because south east is already saturated with SMEs and local industries.
Why not find out why FG has ensured that the ports close to SE are not functional. The same reason they joined hands with the North to ensure that Igbo man never becomes president. South Africa is saturated with SMEs and local industries and international industries which is why South Africans do not look for jobs outside of South Africa. if the SE is saturated with SMEs and local industries as you claim then i:gbos won't be looking for jobs outside of the SE states because the saturation itself will create jobs to the extent that people from outside the SE will move to the SE to look for jobs so stop deceiving yourself.. All the ports are functional. There's a port in Rivers state called "PORT Harcourt". There are also: Calabar port Onne port Warri port. An i:gbo man can become president.. |

Onyiridike: Foolish Analysis. If all Igbo businesses are moved to SE, Anambra alone will be richer than the entire SW and North combined.
The VAT you boast of are contributed by Igbos. Your people do not pay tax neither do they do any lucrative business.
Any Yoruba landlord depends on Igbos to get good house rent, same in the North.
You think your forefathers who fought civil war for three years are fools? They know that without the industrious Igbos, Nigeria is dead. Which tribe imports goods in Nigeria? Which tribe pays business permit and tax to state government?
In the North, if Igbos are celebrating Igbo day, commercial activity in the whole city is dwarfed. It is as if there is a curfew until they resume back.
Please, I dare you to divide the country. Tell Tinubu to make the move. businesses are established close to their target market so igbo businesses that move to the SE Anambra will spend more transporting their goods to their target which means they will lose money and gradually go out of business and close down the business. which is also the reason your ancestors started the civil war because after independence Ahmadu Bello, Akintola were working towards replacing i:gbos who had federal jobs in the north and western Nigeria due to the British favoring i:gbos over other Nigerians... You said Yoruba people don't pay tax but also call them landlords, Landlords have to pay property taxes every year so stop contradicting yourself. Don't compare SW and the north. the north does not have the billions of $$$ diaspora remittances that the SW has which also helps the SW purchasing power... if i:gbos were industrious then the i:gbos won't be living outside the SE and you won't claim to have job in Ogun state and brag about job in Ogun state... you will be bragging about jobs in Anambra not Ogun. importing is a bad form of trade and it affects the balance of payment of a country.. so bragging about importing goods is pure foolishness.. |

Irony1: Oga stop trying to be a wise arse. GDP is an indicator of wealth distribution not population after all Anambra's population is smaller than these SW states. Again note that if IGR is high and GDP is low there is clearly overtaxation or multiple taxation happening also IGR is not gotten from Payee only, other levies from state governments also add to the IGR. Try and minimise lying it will help you. majority of states IGR in Nigeria is gotten from companies.. others are from transportation fees, advertising fees, state owned airports, state owned companies, state owned tolled roads if the state has tolled roads built by the state government, drivers fees e.t.c.. GDP = Consumption + Investment + Government Spending + Net Exports while GDP per capita is calculated by dividing total GDP of the country, state or community by its total population you are confusing GDP per capita and the normal GDP.. IGR cannot be high and GDP will be low while IGR can be high and GDP per capita will be low because of the population of the place where the GDP per capita is calculated. |

How many Yorubas live in South East ?
South East alone contributes the highest revenue to Nigerian Breweries but the VAT is paid to Lagos State because the HQ is in Lagos State.
Divide the country and allow SE to go since you consider them parasites and let us see if Nigerian economy will not collapse in few months. Your job that you claim to pay tax from is in Ogun state and that's why you live in Ogun state. the market your employers company is targeting is the SW and that is why the company is in Ogun state. Divide the country and you and other Igbos outside the SE will all lose your high paying jobs because the new countries will pass laws that discourage the hiring of foreigners.. the new countries especially the ones that already have companies will never collapse. I don't believe that you even have a job where your monthly tax is more than a lecturer 1 salary because you will not make such comments if you really had a job outside the SE states.. |

You guys some months back were talking about IGR, I just laughed at you people, now all of a sudden you know you are overtaxed, when I say it everyday that a state will low GDP and high IGR is a clear indication of overtaxation una no hear. states get their IGR from employee/payee tax from companies with employees.. so a state with high IGR means that state has a lot of companies with high number of employees.. stop spreading mis-information... it has nothing to do with over-taxation.. Have you accounted for what they pay in their host states?
What of the huge fees that importers of SE origin pay at the ports.
Have you accounted for those too? SE citizens in other parts of the country make their money in other parts of the country and not in the SE states so most of the money never reaches the SE states because they have to pay rents, electricity bills, cooking bills e.t.c. and maintain the life they are living in other parts of the country so you cannot account for what they pay in their "host states" because the "host states" gave them the life they could not have in the SE states that's why they are not in the SE states.. You mention Saudi Arabia. What is Saudi Arabia oil production per day vs its population? What is its cost of extraction compared to Nigeria? How much excess crude oil sales was available for its sovereign wealth fund? Similar questions for Norway. Norway set aside nearly 80% of its oil revenue for its sovereign wealth fund Nigeria imported $3.2bn of stockfish from Norway in 2022. Paid for by subsidies. Stockfish o not spare parts. In 2022 we imported $313million worth of wigs from China alone. I haven't counted India, Philippines. That's where your subsidies are going. Fake lifestyles.
Meanwhile subsidies meant that there was no new investment going into this same golden goose of oil. Why would an oil company invest when it's margins are squeezed by state enforced subsidies? Same thing is going on now in telecoms where call quality is dropping, banking transaction failure rates are rising - why? Because price freezes over the last 2 years have created effective subsidies.
And the subsidies are still there. The cost of educating a home student in the UK is £9,600 per annum. The cost of educating a doctor in the US is not less than $100,000. How much is school fees at LUTH. These are the same doctors the world is grabbing off us because their education is GOOD and CHEAP.

Nigeria cannot even feed people, resulting in food imports.
The country's budget of $30 billion for 220 million is shocking. Yet, you want the government to continue borrowing from Eurobond at 8% to fund fuel imports of over $10 billion annually and protect the Naira by spending $1.5 per month.
Nigeria must face the reality that 25 years of democracy have failed due to consecutive governments' failure to outline an industrial strategy. Removing Fuel Subsidies and FX is the right decision; now, Nigeria must leverage its oil and gas resources to build a petrochemical and energy industry and increase food production.

casualobserver: There is a difference between coup plotters who happened to be ibos and ibos. The coup plotters failed so we will never know their intentions. Because the ibos that took over after the failed coup were the typical ibos, they acted in typical ibo fashion hence their brothers were not tried and Awolowo remained in prison, decree34 was promulgated etc.
Like I have said many times, there is evidence to show that the coup plotters may have been revolutionary, patriotic, nationalist and not sectarian……unfortunately for them and history……and for the ibos, they failed! So we will never truly know.
What I will say is that the coup plotters do not represent typical ibos and they ended up handing over power to typical establishment ibos who acted like typical fashion. I said in a previous post that I believe 95% that the coup was not an ibo coup. The 5% is because the ibos were already losing/lost influence at the center, a successful Balewa/Akintola alliance would have further dented the influence of the east so there is that 5% chance it could have been an ibo centric coup such that the only hand left to play was to install Awolowo since he was already in alliance with NCNC anyway. We don’t know. On the balance of probability, I am willing to believe it wasn’t an ibo coup but the actions of the ibos since have not helped their perception. you are igbo or one of your parents is igbo because you are too igbocentric to not have igbo blood flowing in you.. there is no difference between coup plotters who happened to be igbos and igbos. the coup did not fail.. the coup plotters only allowed a senior igbo military officer called ironsi take over.. and ironsi could have released Awolowo in the 6 months he ruled for if the lie that Awolowo was the reason for the coup was true.. because i:gbos have herd mentality just like the obi:dient movement that made them focus on 1 goal. the goal of the coup was to stop igbos from losing federal jobs the british gave them. the coup plotters were sectarian and they represent 100% of typical igbos who hate Yorubas passionately and would never ever install Awolowo into power. the igbos only love igbos there is no way the igbos would have brought Awolowo to power... the Obi:dient movement is proof of that. Awolowo was a victim of Azikiwe and igbo herd mentality of not accepting defeat in an election and congratulating the winner... I believe it was 100% an igbo coup from start to finish with the help of some Yoruba traitors.. where is the influence of the east in 2025 read the quote below and have more understanding raumdeuter: Actually there was need for the Ibos
1959 to 1964 was a NPC(mainly North) and NCNC(Mainly East) alliance which ruled and formed the cabinet. By 1964 Akintola already broke away from the AG and formed his NNDP. Akintola already reasoned that this alliance was to the detriment of Yorubas since all the good positions were cornered by the Ibos and Hausas. To the level where even the Vice Chancellor for UNILAG and UI both in Yorubaland were Ibo men Eni Njoku and Kenneth Dike. (I listened to Akintolas campaign speech of 1964) The initial alliance between the NPC(Balewa) and NCNC(Azikwe) was broken and Akintolas NNDP became the new partner with NPC to form the NNA alliance. The NNA Alliance won the election thus Balewa and Akintolas party would be forming the new govt and the Ibos would be pushed into opposition. Akintola started replacing Ibos in the former govt with Yorubas from his NNDP. An example, At that time the tenure of Eni Njoku expired as UNILAG VC and Akintola ensured that Prof Saburi Biobaku was made the VC. This was too much for the Ibos to take and they reacted which meant Akintola had to be killed and those in the new NNA alliance |

I ask myself will our Attah had done that if we were a mixed multitude? He will not. He will most likely act the way we do today - as in shift the responsibility to others.
I hate DEI oo. I really hate it. It destroys nations.. It's worse than atomic bomb. I thought "Attah" was a Ghanaian word A person do both - shift the responsibility to others and keep upgrading and improving themselves and communities. |

Mujtahida: Ese. This is my view. It's this idea that nationality is determined by citizenry that turned the French team into a mash up of black and white. In fact the whites are now on the margins of the French team. I keep asking myself how is Saka an English man, how is Kante a Frenchman? Having one, two, three or four blacks in the team, that's fine but to have almost the whole team black, is something I find jarring. F:rance makes its money from its African colonies so I can partially understand the deception they are using and it also passes a message to other black people in Africa to leave their countries and be like those players in their fields of study. |

DABIGATRAN: If other ethnic nationalities had their sovereignty, currency and constitution, I doubt if they would "flee" as you mentioned into another ethnic nationality. What resources are they exporting in Lagos? The revenue is from tax, tax and tax. Nigerians still flee to Europe, U:S e.t.c despite having their own sovereignty, currency and constitution due to the fact that Nigeria's currency value is messed up by Whyte supremac:ists and the global finance system that is racist towards Black African countries. what I mean is that most Nigerians don't have any reason to leave their ethnic nations because we all use the same currency.. |

2elliot: Some of you just amuse me. As an adult that you are, you believe that the Igbos will carry out such actions to subjugate the entire country when they did not have the military might or the population to sustain that level of domination. For how long did they expect to dominate at a time when all Africans were fighting colonial domination. Not even the Fulanis some of you dread could have done that. No Yorubas dreads the F:ulanis.. igbos definitely felt they owned Nigeria and Africa due to the favoritism the b:ritish showered them with.. F:ulanis do not have the population and the military might to subjugate the H:ausas but you can see what has been the case for over 200 years.. |

2elliot: You were already killing one another during the wild wild west, so what's your point? If that coup had succeeded and Awolowo brought to power, things would have been different today and not all these accusations. the igbos only love igbos there is no way the igbos would have brought Awolowo to power... the Obi:dient movement is proof of that. |

2elliot: Not even the Fulanis could have tried that nonsense by exterminating other leaders just so they can dominate the others. But you think the Igbos will do that, and expect the whole world to watch them do that and fo scot-free. the F:ulanis did it to the H:ausas and tried to do it to the Yorubas but Yorubas killed them and chased them away but the B:ritish still gave the F:ulanis ilorin just to spite the Yorubas because both Yorubas and the Dahomey warriors were giving the b:ritish a hard time so the br:itish did not trust Yorubas. |

Mujtahida: I don't understand how black people cry for space in white man land and when they don't get it, they start crying racism all over the place. I can understand if its America because of their peculiar history but Europe, mbanu. European people - just like any other people - owe themselves a duty to put their people first and even last.
That's how Larry Madowo, the Kenyan CNN reporter went to Argentina and started complaining that he did not see any black man. Haaaa so have you seen other races complain of not seeing their people in Africa? Where did the idea come from that black or brown or white or yellow people belong just about anywhere on earth?
If there's one thing I hate, it's DEI, multiculturalism and every other woke nonsense that panders to the idea of making homogeneous societies less homogenous. I look at the present French team and I feel sorry for the French people.
Look at England. They basically have tribes now: black tribes, brown tribes, Muslim tribes (I have nothing against Muslims, I'm just stating a fact). They have become a mixed people.
And that signifies that they are going down. Because I feel one of the reasons why Nigeria is the way it is, is because of the mix of over 300 ethnic groups. It's literally babel. So if Europeans allow themselves to be bludgeoned and surrender to DEI, they will become babel. yes it is the reason Nigeria is the way it is but Nigeria's case is different partially because in Nigeria's case every ethnic nation has free access to move into another ethnic nation territory without border checks because there are no borders and ethnic nations who did not grow their indigenous ethnic economies just "flee" into another ethnic nation that grew their own ethnic economies even though we use the same currency.. if each ethnic nation stays put in their territory then Nigeria won't be the way it is today.. |

2elliot: The fact remains that some others were informed but they declined. Besides, that period was a period when young boys and girls were very vibrant and revolutionary, when the movement for pan Africanism and liberation was louded. Not now that we have pussy niggas like you who only argue on the internet without the balls to effect any changes. At that time, tribe and language was primary focus. 2elliot: They were informed and they rightful refused to join. So, what is your point? if I inform you that people are coming to kill your parents would you stand and watch them kill your parents? |

2elliot: The coup failed and so they couldn't release him, and an opportunist called Ironsi took over. What don't you understand here? the coup did not fail.. the coup plotters only allowed a senior igbo military officer called ironsi take over.. and ironsi could have released Awolowo in the 6 months he ruled for if the lie that Awolowo was the reason for the coup was true.. because i:gbos have herd mentality just like the obi:dient movement that made them focus on 1 goal. the goal of the coup was to stop igbos from losing federal jobs the british gave them. |
