well the Civic is a reliable ride.
But ensure you only use Honda specific fluids for your gearbox and power steering.
Change your oil when due.(3000 miles if using conventional oils.)
Do not remove your Thermostat.The engine block on this car is prone to cracking without warning

Other than that you are good to go.

In cases of cracked engine block what is a permanent solution and how much will it cost me
