If you want pastors to feed the church out of a fraction of their income that was contributed towards the pastors willingly, then that's witchcraft. How can a pastor take a tithe of #2500(10%) and use it to achieve what the remaining #22,000(90%) couldn't achieve. You need to think a times o.
When Satan tempted Jesus and asked for conversion of stone to bread. it was counted for a temptation and not a noble challenge. Pastors are not money doublers.

What about personal gifts to pastors? Some of those GOs, their personal gifts rivals their entire church income. As a matter of fact, they end up giving 99% of their actual inflow towards the ministry they head. That puts them above many on the Luke 21:1-4 scale.

Imagine governors are using forcefully obtained taxes(what's Caesar's) to build mosques and people keeping shut but there is an outcry for pastors using voluntarily donated money for intended purposes.
Buhari uses tax(what's Caesar's) to buy close to a dozen private jets for his daughters yet no one is angry with such criminalities, rather they are concerned about dignified churches that makes people aware of what is being bought, its purpose and stick to the plan. Indeed, criminality is being celebrated over dignity.

As for Freeze, I knew it was only a matter of time before harsher govt policies further plunges his supporter-of-convenience army into further poverty and they realize the church is just a loose group of people physically and economically.
What binds the church is faith in one God.

The church structure is so flexible. A minister gets called by God. People who accept his ministry join him. The minister of God is tasked with being an agent of light and awake spiritually.

The followers of Christ who accept him sustains him materially according to Galatians 6:6 while he feeds them spiritually in a balanced exchange. The tithes and offerings cover the recurrent costs of the ministries and special offerings can be raised for capital projects periodically. what is hard to comprehend in that for frozen minded attention seekers?

In all the givings, faith is key. Cain and Abel gave but were differentiated by faith Hebrews 11:4.

Tithe might be the law of the jews, but under the new covenant it is not important as preachers deem it to be (- some even have tithe booklets)...... I can boldly say anyone that pays no tithe but shows love to others is a real child of God.

tithe isn't a Jewish tradition. Abraham did tithe some 400 years before the law came. and for tour constant reference to the Jews, born again Christians are the Jews of new testament.

The church should devote it's time to preach the gospel and stop building schools and hospitals. Afterall, where is it written in the bible that Jesus built schools?

The church has lost its focus and direction. If heaven is the focus why are they so concerned about earthly paraphernalia and accomplishments.

The missionaries brought everything free, that is why things like malaria wiped a lot of the missionaries out. Today's churches are building things yet malaria and poverty are still rampant. Think and understand. Read your bible. Check out the examples therein and learn. See how the early christians behaved. See how our current christians are acting. It is a shame.

A lot of people sees church as the next source of income, so after searching for job without getting one, the next thing is to open a church by all means.....

With the number of Churches in Nigeria today, if they were truly Christ Church or doing the true Church, the society will be better off.....

Have you ever gone to church when they are asking for contributions to build church facilities like school, hospital and so on? Everybody contributes including the poor and helpless. But when the school is finally open for business the fees are too expensive even for the average and poor church goer. It is meant entirely for the rich and affluent. Infact, it is church outsiders who can afford that attend it.

These issues are fundamental they should not attract any form of centiment whatsoever.
The Catholic Church is a perfect example of a religious body following the principles laid down by Christ. I am not even a Catholic but my family members are beneficiaries of their positive schemes and projects all over the country.

The main purpose of a church is not to get the practitioners rich but to make a positive difference in the lives of people. All our major churches have failed in this regard.

These days I go to church to hear the message and go out, nothing more. This is how i feel and it has nothing to do with Daddy freeze. He simply echoed some of my reasoning.

Stop talking deranged. The church is not a money doubling centrer. Let the so called poor keep their money and use it to pay fees when the schools, hospitals start operation. If you do not know, the purpose of the govt is to put those things in place. To put the things the citizens share in common irrespective of beliefs in place. Things like roads, schools, hospitals, food regulatory body(NAFDAC), money & currency (CBN), housing intervention, industrial estates, power supply regulation.
The church is in fact a loose group as far as the law is concerned. They don't keep a record of you earnings in order to calculate your tithe for you, it is the govt who does that for taxes. The church doesn't force you remain in particular assembly. They don't force you to give. They don't have power to arrest you.
You go to a particular church, If you accept the ministry of the man in charge of a ministry.
