Ishmael was removed from Old Testament because of...?
Did I hear you say jealousy?
Lol. SMH.
You have been quoting from the same old Testament remember?
You pick your verses of the Bible like beans.
That guy is too carnal. The rejection is symbolic as shown in Galatians 4:24. They read bible like a recipe.

Shoot!
Yes.
What do you have to say about killing of infidels during holy Jihad considering the fact that those doing the killings weren't born muslims and were once 'imperfect' or non Muslim themselves?
Isn't that an act of witchcraft if the killer claims he know the infidel won't accept Islam until death?

Lukuluku69:
Moses/Abraham/David etc are Latinized/Anglicalised Version of the True Musa, Ibrahim, Dawood.

We are void of the Spiritual? Until we say God had breakfast with us, is that when we will be Spiritual?

Our reference to Christians make us copy-copy? Wonder shall never end. Please pick up a the Life story of Buddha, 70% of what he says, Christ says the same thing. Who copied who? Mind, Buddha lived a good 600 years before Christ.
I have a question not directly related to this discussion about Islam. Should I ask this question?

Lukuluku69:
Two sons? No! He had 8! One from Sarah, One from Hagar and Six from Kethura. But Hagar son was the first and the beginning of his strength. Read Deuteronomy 21:15-17 KJV
[15] If a man have two wives, one beloved, and another hated, and they have born him children, both the beloved and the hated; and if the firstborn son be hers that was hated:
16] Then it shall be, when he maketh his sons to inherit that which he hath, that he may not make the son of the beloved firstborn before the son of the hated, which is indeed the firstborn:
[17] But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his.

Galatians is one of Paul's numerous lies.
What I quoted is pure bible. I am sure you get the message if you know how to read the bible.

Anytime I look at Islam and their main prophet, just look more like a carnal version of old testament Christians.
Moses/Musa, Ibrahim/Abraham etc and the way they interpret things ( very void of the spiritual ).
Also their reference to Christians make them look like copy-copy non-isrealites envying God's chosen ones.

Originakalokalo:
Oh. Ishmael was a Muslim and he founded Islamic nation?

Ishmael lived over 3000 years before Mohamed ooo.

You didn't quote that verse completely..... Let me help you..

(Genesis 17 )
------------
20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

21 But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

Abraham prayed that God should allow Ishmael to be in his presence....verse 19

God responded in verse 20 and in verse 21 he said....

"but my covenant will I establish with Isaac "

He asked Abraham to send him away.... and he affirmed his covenant with the true son.... Isaac..

Let's even say your Islamic claim to Ishmael is true.. (someone that was born over 3000 years before Mohamed founded Islam)

He was rejected.

God introduced himself as the God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob with no mention of Ishmael.

You need to associate yourself with the covenant of Isaac through Jesus....

So that God can be your God...

He clearly rejected your founding father Ishmael (you said that yourself) by calling himself the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob.

From being the God of their father Abraham, God associated himself with the son Isaac... and then Jacob..

If Ishmael is the founder of Islam, which god is he serving then?
Check out Galatians 4:22-23.

Abraham had two sons: the one by a bondwoman and the other by a free woman.
23. but he who was of bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and he of the free-woman through promise.
24. which things are symbolic.

I wonder who you worship.

HigherEd:
The current best young university in the world is the Hong Kong University of Science And Technology(Times Young university rankings 2018). HKUST was founded in 1991 but on the Times world university rankings is rated 41st.

Covenant is benchmarking with Maastricht University, Netherlands founded in 1976 and POSTECH, South Korea founded in 1986. The interesting thing is none of these two are even in top 100 universities talk more of top 10.

Some years ago the Chinese govt declared "double first class" which mandated 42 Chinese universities to overtake American Universities on world rankings, but till today not one Chinese university has made it to top 10 even though they invaded top 100.
Reason being that IVY league Private universities in the US and few UK universities who hold the top 10 ranking spend about 700 billion naira to 1 trillion naira in annual research spending.

So in my honest opinion just having Covenant university in top 100 is enough to send shockwaves across and accolades from global academia - even that would require hundreds of billions of naira to acheive plus intensive support by FG. So unless winners is ready to set aside at least 400 billion naira in annual research funding then top 100 may be just realistic.
You made a lot of sense but there is possibility for exceptions. In a faith based setting, the impossible is an option.

I am sure another plane that almost crashed around that time the Ethiopian one crashed was only faulty. Even among the twelve disciples who worked directly with Jesus, one didn't work out.
So you can't blame God and say God doesn't exist and also refuse to attribute another good act happening simultaneously to God. It is a three-way paradox.

That's cool of the kano people. One good thing about brainwashing of folks is that there are certain parts of the Quran you cannot twist and force them to swallow.
They may be illiterates but know that stealing the resource of a fellow Muslim isn't Islamic in anyway and so they aptly rejected someone caught stealing in a sharia enabled state that is suppose to stone a poor woman for adultery.

Well,if the cotton industry in the North is developed...that reduced dependence on oil money...which naturally would flow to the South

It would be like the good old days of the 1960's when each region relied on what it produced. Plus...it generates more jobs (a good chunk of which would be taken by Southerners anyway)
See you. Was oil money used to develop the cotton or textile industries the first time? Answer is NO and there is no reason to develop it with oil money a second time. Let all the billionaire their take from their oil proceeds and develop it. Has govt developed cocoa related resources that's housed by the south?

How you want to grow a whole textile industry without power baffles me. Government needs to stop thinking they will always be funded enough to intervene in sectors that should be private investment driven. How long can the CBN sustain Nigeria Forex with global unforeseen circumstances? In Nigeria, we only think of today without calculating the probability of the future risks. China may decide to pull out and we will be left with a dwindling economy
The man is in a hurry to develop his beloved north and that can blind any bigoted soul. OBJ did more and failed. In every industry there are key logistics that can't be circumvented with dictator like tendencies and I expect Buhari to know better.
Bottom line is that Nigeria stands no chance to compete in the international textile trade. Nigeria does not produce enough cotton, Nigeria’s cotton is ranked low grade internationally, energy costs are up, and logistics costs are up
Stop that. We have been down this military road before. Remember how OBJ kept preventing imports of certain products with the hope that it will spur local manufacturers. So what is Buhari doing different here. Nothing significant.
He is only going for textile because he knows it will favour the north as usual. All his first term moves where directed that way and it took a timely uproar among others for him to soften the pedal on it. He is back at this destructive north-first mago-mago diversification drive and you know it.
Business › Re: Why You Should Worry Again About The Central Bank’s New Forex Ban by CodeTemplar: 6:08am On Mar 12, 2019
While revival of our textile industry is a good move, I have no doubt Buhari is pursuing it above other alternatives because it favours the north far more than it does the south.
He tried to hit full throttle with the northern dream in his first tern and there was a uproar, now there is nothing to lose and I am sure bubu will gladly ignore contrary advises.
