But I believe there r some really peacefull countries in Africa though. Talk about d Botswanas,Zambia n co (tho not too rich economically, but enjoys descipline n peace). EducationRe: 2-Students Commit Suicide Over WAEC-Exam-Failure by Coldfaya(m): 10:59am On Aug 23, 2012
Amtired: IF YOU ARE NOT IN THEIR SHOES, YOU CAN NEVER UNDERSTAND THE PSYCHOLOGICAL TRAUMA BEHIND WHAT THEY WENT THROUGH AND WHAT MANY ARE STILL GOING THROUGH..
I HAVE WRITTEN JAMB AND POST JAMB FOR GOOD SIX TIMES (6 YEARS)WITH GOOD RESULTS, STILL NO ADMISSION!
CAN YOU IMAGINE, AFTER SCORING 238 IN JAMB I WENT FOR THIS YEAR POST JAMB IN UNIBEN, THE QUESTIONS WERE VERY VERY FRIENDLY TO ME AND I DID JUSTICE TO EVERY SINGLE QUESTION INDEPENDENTLY BECAUSE I SINCERELY PREPARED FOR THE EXAM.
WHEN THE POST JAMB RESULTS WERE RELEASED, I CHECKED MINE ONLY TO SEE "MALPRACTICE CASE" WITHOUT THE RESULT BEING RELEASE UP TILL THIS DATE!
THE FIRST OPTION TO ME WAS TO COMMIT SUICIDE! BUT I DECIDED TO TRAVEL FROM LAGOS BACK TO UNIBEN TO FIND OUT WHAT WENT WRONG, NO ATTENTION WAS GIVEN TO ME. I DID NOT DO ANYTHING RELATED TO MALPRACTICES AND I WASN'T CAUGHT DOING ANYTHING WRONG IN THE EXAM HALL, WHY HAVE THEY REFUSE TO RELEASE MY RESULT UP TILL DATE? THIS IS NOT FAIR.
I'M WRITING IN CAPITAL LETTERS TO SHOW HOW BAD THE FEELING IS. IF ONLY THERE IS SOMETHING HIGHER THAN SUICIDE, I WOULDN'T MIND.
THE PAIN IS UNBEARABLE..
Here goes another case.

It'll deffinately b a lie if I tel u I know how u feel but i can only immagine. All I have to tell u is 'This shall pass' if u just hold on a lil more. U shall smile n laff over what life has thrown at u leter on. Try n find somthing doing; a vocation or somthing, no matter how messy provided it keeps ur mind busy. God b wif u!! Suicide isn't an option 4 u my friend!!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Why People Dont Get Jobs by Coldfaya(m): 4:41pm On Aug 22, 2012
loladeking: "Sent from my BlackBerry®

Etisalat easy net, available at all our
experience centres"

Please people should try and comprehend further. For one I doubt the op meant the signature being present was a bad factor. What I inderstood was that if you applied for a job by pushing your cv to the address without any message in the mail, the only thing the person opening the mail would see in your email body is

"Sent from my BlackBerry®
Smartphone, from Etisalat. Enjoy
high speed internet service with
Etisalat easy net, available at all our
experience centres"

That's what the op meant..OP,am I correct?? Personally, I've written about 8 aptitude tests. I applied for each and every one of them using my blackberry etisalat smartphone...lolz..what a coincidence shey?? I am hoping this month or next month I get called for my second and final interview in one of the places I passed the aptitude test. My observation is this, when I applied to jobs simply by attaching my CV and send, I received no feedback. But in life, change is the only constant thing. You change positively only if you observe the right things, which I did and with research here and there( I mainly use my bb to research, learn and download apps for my pc and movies, instead of wasting the megabyte pinging), I learnt how to write cover letter and also learnt to tailor it to a specific employer. Ever since then I have received aptitude test invite from kpmg,nestle,consobrew,P/G,nestle,mobil,chevron and some others....one thing I also did was to change the format of my CV and that helped a lot.
The thing is am sure I have applied to all the companies in nigeria, both the registered and unregistered companies(even the semi-registered ones) because no matter how hard or discouraging the nigerian condition of always sending out cv seems, I inject positivity in myself and tailor out a cover letter and cv for a particular job application.
Now to the part I want to talk about. One of the numerous reasons we don't get jobb in nigeria is really because a lot of underground runs do go on. 4 months to the end of my service, I passed the kpmg aptitude test and was told I would be called for an interview. That was my first ever aptitude test and to say I was happy would be an understatement. I was over the moon with thoughts of getting a job immediately after service, not minding all the transportation money I spent to lagos from my place of service. Can you believe till this day I have heard nothing from kpmg? I now heard, from a very very very very reliable source that the department I applied for, candidates have already been accepted in there and its now filled up so they didn't know what to do with me(and one other friend of mine)...underground runs...same thing with nestle, mobil and chevron aptitude test I wrote..over how many months now and nothing has been heard. I now strongly believe underground runs are taking place, shortchanging us that naturally followed due process. Please, this is my opinion. I stand to be corrected.
Still, I never give up. All this are challenges meant to be conquered. Right now as am typing this, my status is still jobless graduate and all I have to my name is didty naira. Am planning to start teaching when schools open and also to explore my ICT skills. However Am so positive and prayerful I will get something very soon. I went to school and I excelled for over 18 years to build a career. And build it I WILL
Bro m really impressed with all u'v written here. I'v sent my CV to several places with no response. Since u r good can I share my CV n copies of some cover letters I'v sent so we make constructive criticisms?? I'd rili appreciate. Pls add 25D9ACDD

cog1: You who started this thread,I have just one question for you namely ARE YOU GOD? You think you are somehow wiser than God (because you are tall)who saw fit that different heights should exist on the earth? Tell me,how monotonous & boring would this earth be if everything in it was "tall"?!! I guess you are wiser than God,yes, wiser in yoir ignorance.
As for your crazy assertions that they are mean, blah, blah, tell me what statistics/research results you relied on apart from the hearsay that you are quoting and silly old wives tales.
Before you open your mouth to spew anything ensure its backed by tangible facts.
FYI,variety is the spice of life.
Your statements only goes to show you have a personality problem because you can only love others when you have sufficiently learned to love yourself, you cannot give what you don't have.
Check out all real people who have any kind of self esteem, they love everyone regardless of height, race, etc
BTW you are the sort of person who would cry out loudest against acts of racism, what are you doing now? The same discrimination
Go and get a life.
