oloolo:If you go ahead with this story, I am sure you will have a big problem at the POE. This is why many people are turned back from the POE because of incoherent stories from the application purpose of visit. I will advise you to maintain what you have in your application to avoid having issues. You can still defend the changes in your arrival date but if you should go ahead with this stories of yours, I am sure you could find yourself in naija with the next available flight. Your visa is just a privilege not a right, so your fate will be decided at the point of entry but to avoid having issues, forget your story. |
Kondomondo:Go to Indianapolis, that is where immigrant newbies stay before they are good enough to relocate to wherever they want because is very cheap to live. Cheap rent, cheap bill and you will see a lot of Nigerians. |
ancestorial:I think Ikeja is somehow faster and it's $185 with their centre charges for 6months |
ekpotek:Cool ! You are right |
ekpotek:Really! Is this for real! free! Anyway I don't know so I can't dispute that but I have never heard of a free visa applicant package. I think the normal application fee for 2yrs is around $429 excluding centre charges. |
ekpotek:It's cheaper then, that is around $411 and about $90 difference |
ladylco:I don't really know but other people who used V.I recently should be able to help. I always prefer Ikeja because it's accessible to me and very fast. |
ladylco:I think this will help https://www.gov.uk/tier-1-entrepreneur/overview |
ladylco:Through Ikeja centre you will have to pay $501 but I think V.I is a bit cheap. |
patchibabe:You don't have to run away because of the present situation in Nigeria now, If you have what it takes, bliv me Nigeria is one of the best places to live and make it in life. Every countries have their own various issues, Just think of what you can do and work towards it. No rich man will ever think of relocating abroad because it's easy to live like a king in Naija if you have what it takes. |
ekpotek:Am not sure either if applicant will be called to supply additional documents as stated on their requirement guide, but somehow they still accept original document if on A4 size. All docs will be scanned and returned immediately and must be on A4 size. |
opomulero:You don't need all these, it's a waste of time. You should rather try to gather other relevant documents that will prove a tie to your home country |
ekpotek:You are right bro, it used to be and from your quote, that was around early 2016 but now it's not longer compulsory and if you add it, it doesn't add anything to your application again. Even before it must be a paid hotel but now, applicants won't be refused without hotel booking. It was reviewed recently after your quote.

justwise:Even if I don't stay away, I will try to be careful about the kind of comment I put up here and try as much as possible not to step on toes because I hate having issue with people. |
justwise:I don't have issues bro and seriously I don't have anything against you but I don't just like being bullying with words. If that is how you determine my attitude, maybe you are right and that is why I don't like coming here. Let's forget about this pls so that the thread can retain its purpose. |
justwise:You know what, you have always be found of insulting people politely but I can read meaning to all your words. You can do it to others but definitely not me. Is it necessary for you to tell me I don't need to define what Court Affidavit was because you already knew? Since you are Mr know all, don't you think it's kind of a lack of good sense of judgement for you to argue or try to mislead people without knowing anything about the topic or is it a must for you to comment? A whole mr justwise of travel section, my brother put your ego aside and try to be good as always, you are not superior to anybody, you don't need all these so I don't have time for this as well. Peace! |
justwise:So you know, I thought you don't know because sometimes it's better to explain in details to people like you who argue without proof. I have known you for years if you still remember me that I don't really like arguing. I know you always fight for justice and I also stand for what is right. I hardly comment here these days but when I do, I give only fact and try not to mislead others. You ask for the link, you can see for yourself here and for all those who wish to know more about the requirements. http://www.immigration.gov.ng/index.php?id=46 |
ekpotek:Flight and hotel booking is no longer compulsory, so don't waste your money booking flight or any hotel until your visa is ready. All you need to do is to input the address of the hotel you intend to stay while filling the online visa application form. Fact! |
meetgaya:You need an authorized letter of invitation from a business partner in china and your bank statement with almost 2m to stand a good chance. These are the two important documents needed to apply for a business visa. |
justwise:Court Affidavits are used frequently and for many different reasons, it's a written statement of facts, sworn to and signed by a deponent before a notary public or some other authority having the power to witness an oath. In other words, when you sign an affidavit, you’re simply attesting, under law, that you swear a statement written in the affidavit is true. Generally, this is to show that the applicant is committing his or herself under the law, should in case the applicant is found to be lying, the same document will be used against such person. This type of court affidavit is commonly issued for lost or stolen materials not necessarily relating to international passport only. Without a court affidavit, you can't get a renewal for a stolen or lost passport in Nigeria. This procedure has been on for years and still the same. |
APFM:Ok! I will do just that, safe trip. |
APFM:Saw some hotels for £30, £35 around woolwich but I haven't decided which one to book. I saw your post about flying Etihad second week, safe trip. |
APFM:Oh bro, you are flying Etihad? That is nice but isn't that a long journey? Am flying KLM second week. |
justwise:As much as I know, court affidavit is needed to get a stolen or lost passport renew in Nigeria. My younger brother lost his passport in SA last year, return to naija to get a renewal with police report and court affidavit. On the other hand, I can't say specifically if it is needed abroad to get a renewal from any Nigerian Embassy. Those who has previous experience should pls share their experiences regarding renewal abroad with or without court affidavit. |
APFM:£30 really ? For my previous visits, Peckham lodge cost £45 but now is around £59. Let me check online for hotels around Woolwich maybe I can get a good deal. |
APFM:You are right, that is the more reason why I like staying around Peckham, I won't miss that naija atmosphere and is more closer to central than woolwich but the different is not much. Do you have an idea of any cheap hotel around woolwich ? |
APFM:ok no prob, maybe I will try woolwich this time, I always stay around Peckham whenever I visit or stay with my people around Degenham which is too far from central and too boring for me. |
APFM:Got a ticket yesterday from travelstart, very expensive but I gat no choice. Flying on 13th to stay for 9days. Considering staying around Peckham so as to get access to nice naija food and naija life style. Planning visiting nice places within London only and to attend a wedding. |
Harzontorh:Pls drop your post here, a thread has been created for this purpose. https://www.nairaland.com/3676329/find-travel-partner-find-travel |
Tochex101:Thanks man, It's not even compulsory I find a partner to travel with here but I just feel a thread like this should exist where like minded people can connect. Tickets are crazy now, I have been searching for days now and the fares are not friendly. |
greatnaija01:It's true there is no trust in naija due to the bad ones but that doesn't mean all Nigerians are bad, travel together doesn't mean staying together and at the same time, anyone traveling with anybody expected to take extra careful. If you are afraid of traveling with someone from naija, what about the ones you are meeting over there? A family friends politely got me doped in china last year November and give me lame excuses but there is nothing i can do about it. The best is not to trust anyone with your money most especially some dubious Nigerians staying abroad. Please don't take this like i am a fraudster and pls no insult, it's not a most a find a travel partner, if no one I definitely make my trip, some old member of this section know what i stand for (justwise et al). Its being a while i posted on nairaland generally, i just feel like to open this thread to help some other people connect but everyone must watch out for the type of people to connect with. |
To all moderators, users of travel section most especially to all lonely tourists and students, I find it necessary to open a thread for this purpose because I realized a lot of people are traveling to different destination without knowing anybody, even when you know somebody, they may not have your time but it's a different thing entirely if you find a travel partner who maybe heading towards your destination or who you can plan a trip together. This will help a lot lonely travelers in sharing information about your destination, hotel information, propose site attractions, itinerary and many more. I will kick off this thread by asking if there is anyone traveling to UK for Easter Holiday, London to be specific. Let's hook up if you are interested, a friend we plan to travel together was denied and I don't feel like traveling alone because the trip was planned purposely because of him. Meanwhile this is not my first time going to the UK and i also have family there but I don't want to stay with anybody this time. If you are traveling to UK (London) in April, let hook up? link below: https://www.nairaland.com/3676329/find-travel-partner-find-travel |
