From what i know the vaccination is ejected once in a decade and so the certificate valid for 10year as well but i don't know maybe Nigerian government has reversed the system but i can assure you that your card is still very much valid.

If you are already in SA, certify any photocopied docs you intend to submit for evaluation except your CV and go along with the originals for sighting.

I don't think it should be more than that on re-application at Abuja centre because the accept lesser applications than Lagos Centre on daily basis.

You can use GTB naira master card (ATM), some sites won't charge your card but make sure you read through very well before booking as some hotel sites will charge your card for deposit.

Then you need to go with your letter of invitation and mind you, make sure it is written in black and white in your letter of invitation that your host will be accommodating you. it all depend on the nature of the content of such letter of invitation.

Try www.booking.com meanwhile search for hotel within SA where you can make booking without payment but be aware that you will have to make use of you either a credit or debit card (Good if you have GBT master card).

You can present the hotel reservation you used for the visa processing if it's paid, valid and correspond with your flight itinerary but if you intend to stay longer that the number of days initially decleared in reservation used during visa processing, you can as well use another reservation without pay as long as it correspond with your flight itinerary when flying.

If you have your visa already, you do not need to present a pay hotel reservation to the immigration at the airport, ordinary reservation without payment is alright with immigration officials. Only the embassy required paid hotel reservation and that should be during visa processing as some people only pay for a week reservation to secure visa but intend to spend more than a week. Just make sure you that the reservation you intend to present to the immigration correspond with your flight itinerary.

You don't need PR for tourist visa but you need it for study/residence permit if applying from naija.

Please what do they mean by verifiable hotel booking and flight reservation?
Are we supposed to pay for the tickets and hotel before applying for the visa?

As Pelumiv rightly said, be sure you use a paid hotel as evidence of your accommodation but you do not need to pay for your flight itinerary, meanwhile try and use South African Airways reservation and since your company will be sponsoring your trip, include an official letter of introduction from your company addressed to the embassy and don't forget to include copies of company CAC certificate, company SOA and the applicant SOA and other important documents.

oyesams: My mum's Visa was denied yesterday after about 64 days: Reason for Denial DOCUMENTATION from host not legible (STAMP) even when all the document i sent to her was certified by the Post Office in South Africa and is clearly original. Anyway i have 2 questions

1. An insider told me they main reason is because she didn't use an agent... so i need an agent who can help since she has all the documents and i can even send another document asap.
2. i want to also know if she can proceed to Abuja to apply even if she initially applied in Lagos as i was told Abuja is a little bit Faster?

Read your comment over and over again, the refusal was based on eligibility of the documents from your host, even if you certified such documents it will yield no positive outcome. There is a clear difference between eligibility and certification. I will advise you to get genuine documents for your mum or simply use a paid hotel reservation but if you feel agent is the only one that can solve the problem then go ahead but don't come back here to telling us any cork and bull story afterward.

3Runes: Thanks for you input but how exactly do you understand what they found "unconvincing?". If I knew, then we could immediately redress it. The link to my brother was clearly stated. Actually, all documents they requested from us was included there, including my passport bio page. My stamped bank statements, and I even took it down to our city hall and it was notarized. I would have completely withdrawn from the picture since he has enough money in his account but these are sums that I put there for his travel and I believe I must explain it as wonderfully advised here.

Well, onwards and forwards. There is no need crying over spilled milk as my father used to say. Although my brother has lost hope, I will advise him to try again. Does anybody know how long you have to wait before you reapply? And is it normal not to stamp the passport when visa is denied?. Pardon my many questions but it has been over 40 years since I was in Nigeria so I no longer know what the norm is. Which is why I am thankful for this forum.

Did you include anything relating to the conference or training you are going for? if you do then i suspected that was where the problem came from. I arrived sa jan 8th and i left jan 27th and i came back again on the 19th of feb and i will be leaving on the 9th of march...Meaning that i followed the due process governing it. I want to apply again by march 15th, My question now is how many months do you think they will give to me since i entered south africa twice with my 3months visa?

It is usually at the discretion of the VO handling your visa, normally you should be given 6months or more but at the same time, you can be lucky to be given 3months tourist visa again. Remember! Visa is a privilege and not a right.

3Runes: Hello again. I was here a couple of weeks ago with some queries about my brother's visit to SA. Thanks to Collinsfbi for all his help. He submitted all the documents, which included one month's fully paid accommodation in a guest house near where he'll be doing his workshop, his bank account statement with adequate funds in it, my bank account with lots of funds in it and certified by my bank and city hall, yellow fever card, plane reservation. Every single thing mentioned here is genuine. He just went to collect the processed application and something cryptic was written on it like "Documents not convincing".
What does that mean? I am quite ticked off really because everything we gave them is genuine and I have no clue what document did not convince them.Is there an appeal process? Any suggestion on what next to do?

collinsfbi: Either you apply for a week stay or three months stay, the embassy normally grant first time applicant three months multiple entry but in your case, you will have to indicate single entry when filling in your details on the visa application form. Immigration officers do not stamp travelers' passport base on the period you intend to spend. They only stamp to indicate the date of arrival or departure after you must have been cleared at the port of entry. If you want to apply for a week or two, make sure you indicate single entry and your paid hotel accommodation must carry the exact period of days you intend to stay base on the days/weeks declared in your visa letter of application, your letter of introduction and your online itinerary reservation. When you get your visa, let your paid flight ticket covers the exact number of days in your paid accommodation because the immigration officers at departure in naija and on arrival in SA will ask for your proof of accommodation and your return ticket and everything must correspond. Mind you, your ticket valid for one year so there is nothing to fear about, on the second day of your arrival, call your ticket issuer to extend/change your departure date, probably choose a date outside your study period. The extension of departure date will be done free if you request for it five days prior your date of departure or you will be liable to administration fee of 6k naira if you make your request late.

It won't be hard to get another tourist visa after the first one when you return because you won't be classed as first time traveler any more. You can as well apply anywhere you like, the choice is yours but i don't think you will experience any further delay. As for the exchange of money, it can be done around you (ask anyone you trust around where you stay) even before you get to the airport or upon arrival in Naija.

Please I need instruction about this... I was once a University boy but dropped for some reasons in 2010. Now I am planning to school Abroad but wish to visit SA first.

Okay now, I have around #385,000 in my account and wish to visit SA for just 1week. I am just 23years in my passport. I don't have anybody in SA and I want to apply for visiting visa. I have all my documents ready.... Here is my question:

As for your request,
Q1, nobody can guarantee anybody visa, the nature of documents you submit in support of your application will determine the success of your application. If you are submitting complete and genuine documents, there is nothing to worry about.
Q2, There is no any other way my brother, anyone who told you there is other way is not being sincere with you maybe such person is only after your cash.
with the amount stated above, you are good to go on tourist visa but make sure you use a paid accommodation booking and submit genuine documents. It seems lagos usually delay a bit because they recieved more application daily than the abuja centre, you are free to make your submittion at ABJ application if you so desire.

kosoblanca: I will be travelling to SA next month for my piloting training which will last for 2years, I want to find out if I can rent a self contain apart in Gauteng pretoria because all the accommodation I saw on net are all guest house or hotel which is too expensive for me to stay for 2year, so can some one helppp me on this most for those in SA pretoria.

Can you afford it, can you pay almost 40k naira per month? It will be advisable to share with someone because of the cost, When you get to SA let me know most especially when you get to Pretoria but i doubt if i will be around.
