jub009: @ chief collinsfbi, pls need some assistant as regards booking itineary ticket,i hv all my document set against Jan 7th, will love to visit for d upcoming nation cup . ThanksIf you are going for the NC, don't you think it is rather late but not too late anyway. For flight itinerary, use ordinary online reservation and that can be done a day before your submission day with either South African Airways or Arik but I will advise you to use South African Airways flight reservation. youngbilly1: wait hold on, are you ok sha, shey i ask you question ni, abi i ask make you dey insult me, shey because say they don scam me 60k or i can't get my passport nah the end of the world, come watch it when you post on here. I never asked you...i asked the poster! Whats with the "Gullible pple like you willIf you can say all these to me, what will you say to the one who scammed you? Nigerians with their dubious act just to bypass the normal procedure. Greediness is what is killing you and you will never learn until you mess up yourself the more. When we have SA embassy in Nigeria with two SA application Centres, I wonder why you have to agree to secure visa in far away Ghana all in the name of securing 1year tourist visa as first timer, isn't that funny? If indeed you are not gullible why would you be deceived by one disgruntled agent? What you are asking here is meaningless because you never asked any reasonable question before dealing with your agent and for your information nairaland travel section is not for visa agents or customers to visa agents so I will advise you to finish off your deal with your agent and stop bothering this thread with your insolence posts. youngbilly1: Pls help me, i was given option from a travel agent to apply for either a 3months visa or 1yr visa, i applied for 1yr visa and for about 3 months now, no news, i keep calling my agent sometimes he pick up n say its not ready yet sometimes he doesn't now am wondering maybe its a scam or sumin, i paid 60k and was gonna balance up later when the job is doneI wonder why you have to come here at this time to mess yourself up. When you were dealing with him nobody knew about it and I think you should face the music all alone. Try and appeal to him, am sure he can get you additional 1year making 2years tourist visa. Gullible pple like you will never learn until visa agents finish you off. You should celebrate if you are able to get your passport back without having issue with the embassy that may affect you in the future. Nigerian passport holders without Ghanaian residence permit cannot apply for SA tourist visa through Ghana, I may not be sure of other countries but I am 100% sure of SA visa. Gbamm over n out |
chelseabmw: Will the immigration/sss disturb me if i am to hold the sum of $2000 as bta? Cos i need to buy lot of things over thereIf they ask you about your BTA, try and declare whatever you have on you but don't be surprise that no one will ask you. Besides, that amount is not that much so you won't have any prob with that. Gbamm over n out |

@stylz:I think you can still make it with the following prices though it's advisable to use arik if you have much luggage but South African Airways is the best in terms of time management. Arik:N100,891.00, SA:USD 652.57 (103,106.06 *N158) Lagos - Jo'burg, SA:USD 892.92 (141,081.36 *N158) Lagos - Cape Town. Gbamm over n out |

xuleiman: jus amazin how xtain feels jona knelt down in praize of thy lord... de last tim i check ur bibble jesus neva knelt down in worship of his lord buh rather in de language of de bible:::HE FELL ON HIS FACE N PRAYED 2 GOD::CHECK UR BIBLE VRY WELL..SO ASK JONA AGAIN WHU DID HE KNEEL DOWN 4..not God i guessI know you are not a Christian even a devoted muslim will never post such foolish post as yours. In your Bible there is nothing like kneeling down and pray but in mine there are hundreds of act of kneeling before God or a vessel of God and pray to God almighty. Check below extracts from the Holy Bible which I believe is the same thing all over the world and see how people knelt before Jesus and Jesus Himself knelt before God almighty and prayed. Matthew 17:14 “And they having come to the crowd, a man came near to him (Jesus), kneeling down to him, and saying, Lord, have mercy.' Mark 1:40 “Then a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, "If You are willing, You can make me clean." Mark 10:17 “And he going out into the way, one running near, and kneeling to him , asked him, Inherently good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?' Luke 22:41 And He was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and He knelt down and prayed, Luke 5:8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees , saying, "Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!" Luke 22:41 “And He (Jesus) was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and He knelt down and prayed.' Acts 7:60 “Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not charge them with this sin." And when he had said this, he fell asleep.' Acts 9:40 “But Peter put them all out, and knelt down and prayed.' Acts 20:36 “And when he had said these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all.' Acts 21:5 “When we had come to the end of those days, we departed and went on our way; and they all accompanied us, with wives and children, till we were out of the city. And we knelt down on the shore and prayed.' Romans 14:11 “For it is written: "As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God." Ephesians 3:14 “For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.' Philippians 2:10,11 “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow , of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. I Kings 8:54 “And so it was, when Solomon had finished praying all this prayer and supplication to the LORD, that he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.' I Kings 18:42 “So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel ; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees.' 2 Chronicles 6:13 “(for Solomon had made a bronze platform five cubits long, five cubits wide, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court; and he stood on it , knelt down on his knees before all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven);' 2 Chronicles 7:3 “And all the children of Israel saw the fire come down and the heavy glory of Jehovah upon the house, and they bent down on their knees with their nostrils to the ground upon the pavement, and prostrated themselves, and raised their hands to Jehovah, because of his goodness, because of his eternal mercy.' 2 Chronicles 7:14 “And if my people which are called by my name shall bend their knees , and judge in prayer, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will attentively hear from the heavens, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.' 2 Chronicles 12:6,7 “And the princes of Israel and the king bent their knees, and they said, Jehovah is righteous. And when Jehovah saw that they bent their knees, the word of Jehovah was to Shemaiah, saying, They have bent their knees ; I will not destroy them.' 2 Chronicles 12:12 “And when he bent his knees the nostrils of Jehovah turned back from him, and he did not destroy him completely, and also in Judah words were good . 2 Chronicles 29:29 And when they had made an end of offering, the king and all found with him bent their knees , and prostrated themselves. 2 Chronicles 34:27 “Because your heart was soft, and you bent your knees before the face of God when you attentively heard his words against this place and against its inhabitants, and you bent your knees before my face, and tore your clothes, and wept before my face - even also I have attentively heard you — An oracle of Jehovah.' Ezra 9:5 “At the evening sacrifice I arose from my fasting; and having torn my garment and my robe, I fell on my knees and spread out my hands to the LORD my God. Psalms 95:6 “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.' Isaiah 45:22-23 "Look to Me, and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. I have sworn by Myself; the word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that to Me every knee shall bow , every tongue shall take an oath.' Daniel 6:10 “Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem , he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.' Daniel 10:10 “Suddenly, a hand touched me, which made me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my hands. Try and use your head before posting rubbish. Gbamm over n out |

rooney11: Pls someone got a miss call or fail to a pick frm VHS or south africa embassy may be they want to tell u to go and pay repatration fee and u can't call the number back. What can the person do. ThanksRepatriation or additional info but it must be repatriation because they hardly call for additional info these day instead they deny. For this i think you may be required to pay repatriation(go with your visa receipt), just go the centre where you applied and tell them you want to pay for repatriation, they will let you in and once you get inside, tell them you had a missed call from the embassy and efforts to call back prove abortive and you want to check if your name in among those required to pay repatriation. There is a list containing the names of people expected to pay repatriation, am sure they will check for you. You have to that very fast as deadline for repatriation don't normally exceed 2-3days maximum. Gbamm over n out |
STENACO: Mr friend got his 3yrs Visa to SA yesterday without SAQA and HESA evaluation and exemption respectively. I am waiting for mine I hope it will come soon as well.Good news for those who will apply for study permit through Abuja since Lagos is requesting for such. Good luck on yours. Gbamm over n out |
topsyking: Don't gbamm over n out kan kanYou seem to know to well but what you have just displayed is a mere internet conversion rate which does apply when dealing people who trading currency in the physical (not even bank will give you the exact internet rate) even as at today, 1rand = 18.2156naira http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert/?Amount=1&From=ZAR&To=NGN which is almost 19naira but for the fact that currencies do not have stable exchange rate at the foreign exchange market, that doesn't mean you will get it exchanged for that 1rand = 18.2156naira as of today trading. The least you can get it is from 20naira - 22naira for 1rand because those that will exchange for you will also make money for the service render to you. Gbamm! over n out |
P406: hello guys please what is the exchange rate from naira to rands and a good place to get rands. Thanks.Btw 20 to 22naira Gbamm! over n out |

chelseabmw:Quiet fast, anyway best of luck and let us know the outcome when you are back. I have a feeling of something as regards your application but I pray you are granted. @All, Pls note, 300k is not the exact minimum balance you must have in you SOC, so try and use your initiative when applying most especially if you intend to stay longer than a week, you should know that 300k may not be enough and you can be denied based on insufficient fund. So try and get more money into your account if you are likely to spend more than a week in RSA. Gbamm over n out |
teetee123: Thanks for all your useful information. They actually have original copy of my SAQA. I never needed SAQA for my course which is PhD at Stellenbosch but obtained SAQA cert because I applied to other univ who requested it. Stellenbosch never asked for it.Who are you referring to with the word "They", your school or the Embassy. One thing you need to understand is this, since you have SAQA evaluation certificate why don't u include it at least to show that you have done your evaluation even if your school did not require SAQA for admission, who knows the embassy may demand for it most especially if your master degree is not from RSA but instead of doing that you left Lagos for Abuja for submission just not to include SAQA and quick processing. I know of some even from this thread who applied through Lagos and got their study permit within 2 weeks. You make me laugh when you said all what we do here are mere suggestion, anyway, we shall see how fast Abuja will process yours. Best of luck. Gbamm over n out |
teetee123: Please has anybody received his\her study permit at the abuja end in the last one month ? There seems to be a problem in processing the permit in Abuja for now.Mark my words today, though I don't know the course you were admitted for but your permit will only be granted if you satisfy any of these three conditions: Submission of SAQA evaluation Submission of HESA exception certificate Or Your course does not require any of the two which is very rare. Gbamm over n out |
teetee123: I think the questions you are asking has been dealt with earlier on, can't remember the pages, go over the thread.Immigration rules, visa requirements, processing procedures etc all these do change I don't dispute that but as far as I am concerned SA visa requirements for Nigeria remain the same no matter where you are applying from within the country. Let us know when you collect your study permit from Abuja maybe I will advise people to apply for study permit without SAQA at Abuja Application Centre. Gbamm over n out |
ayostacey: Sorry, another question (or 2)...If I deposit the 300K Naira into my bank account shortly before applying for visitor visa, is that going to look somehow? Or will that be acceptable to get the visa? Also, when dropping off the papers (visa app, flight info, bank statement, etc) is this when I also pay the 110K or do u pay that AFTER they approve your visa? You don't lodge a huge amount into an account to process visa, you can still be denied by doing that and even if you will have to do that, you must attach a self explanatory letter to your SOC stating the source of the money if possible supported by any relevant docs and as for repatriation fee, the Embassy will call you and give you deadline for payment. Pelumiv: Collins, am just curious, is it possible to apply for a visa of Canada from SA, if you have work permit on your naija passport? It's easy to secure visa to any part of the world through SA if you are a resident holder of the following permits ; Study Permit, Work Permit, Temporary/Permanent Resident Permit as far as you have your money, I mean if you are financially okay. suxes2005: Collinsfbi, nice work here man.Tourist visa (single entry) will be alright for that purpose and you can extend your stay if there is a need for that. Be prepared to pay repatriation and as for Lagos Application Centre, to me i don't see anything wrong with that centre though there may be a little bit delay in the processing of some applications which i think it's probably due to the fact that they accept more applications daily than Abuja centre (Lagos=200 applications daily/Abuja=100/120 applications daily).Aside this, i don't think you have to worry as long as you are applying with genuine documents. ayostacey: Does anyone know if I can apply for a SA visitor visa from Ghana if I am Nigerian Citizen? I stay in Ghana, though not a resident or have resident permit or anything. I am going back to Nigeria to get my passport since I have lost mine last year. I was thinking I would like to get the passport in Abuja and then come back to Ghana and apply for the SA visa. Is that possible or would I have to do it in Nigeria. I know I could do it the same time I get my passport, but then I'd have to either wait around to get it, (which who knows how long that could take) OR I'd have to travel back to Nigeria again to get the Visa when it was ready (God willing)...Sooo, do you know if it's possible to apply outside your home country? thanks again for any advice ayostacey: Can you guys tell me if I can apply for a SA visa from Ghana? I am Nigerian citizen, but staying primarily in ghana. I dont have a resident permit here or anything, however. But was still wondering if i can apply from here? what are your thoughts on that? thanks!!No! Without Ghanaian permit on your passport you cannot apply for visa through Ghana. Since you are in Ghana now you can confirm what i have just told here: High Commission of South Africa in Accra Speed House No 1, 3rd Soula Street Labone North Accra,Ghana local: (030) 274.0450 international: +233.30.274.0450 Gbamm over n out |
chelseabmw: Why will somebody want to use an agent when you have the likes of collinsfbi here justwise: @collinsfbiThanks guys, i have done nothing compare to yours.
