SportsRe: Your Assessment Of Keshi's Team To The Confederations Cup? by collynzo2(m): 2:03pm On Jun 24, 2013
gbishman: i dnt think nigeria needs a foreign coach, i think keshi jst needs to work on his ego, pride and tolerance. U see we lost this match because the players who in earnest had all the skills required to come tops in the championship but lacked the leadership touch as seen in the poor coordination of players. I feel if Yobo was to captain the team he definately would have coordinate them internally and we would'nt have had the our defence had. Mickail isnt a leader rather his a good follower. So keshi needs to wrk on himself to become a better coach and have behind his mind that Country is much more important than everytin else even if a player insults u, provided he apologises u should shelve malice and and move along for the good of the country. Thats my take
Did you watch our opening Afcon match against Burkina Faso? I doubt.

9jadelta: go to youtube, type dynamo, and see amazing things this guy has done. He is jesus of 21st century
Those things are tricks, use the same youtube to find out how they are done. Nothing spititual about it.

akinzy_akin: Peepz seriously keshi nidz an adjustment...

With a striking force of osaze moses and martinz and we av a midfielder lyk Mikel and also av a replacement for martins such as emenike...den taiwo as a replacemenrt of echejile...as well as his oda players...I tink dis wuld b a great team
Pls I think super eagles wuld reach sumwia mor beta dan dis if dis dude can follow dis
Pls like ma status if you agree
You actually suggested Emenike sshould be benched for Martins and you are begging people to like your status? Hahahaha
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Spain - Player Rating by collynzo2(m): 1:13pm On Jun 24, 2013
dabossman: You are so correct. It's really amazing when I hear some Nigerians throw names like Osaze, Martins, Yobo around and they suggest we would have been better if those guys were in the team. Have we so quickly forgotten how we failed to qualify for Germany 2006, or the disaster that was South Africa 2010. Were this not the same guys who couldn't beat South Korea, even when 3 points would have ensured qualification to the next round? Were these not the same guys who failed to qualify for AFCON 2012? So, what makes them all of a sudden the magicians that will ensure us success?

Keshi has done a good job so far. To think we could have won the Confeds Cup is nothing buy wishful thinking. We were never considered among the favourites, but I have not seen the Eagles play with such fluidity and confidence in a very long time.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Spain - Player Rating by collynzo2(m):
Afam4eva: Uche didn't have a good nations cup but he's a very good player and scorer. He actually didn't have the kind of scoring chances seen in this confederation cup in the Nations cup.

That Ayeigbeni made an error in the world cup does not negate the fact that he's a killer in front of goal. Another reason why Aiyegbeni and other previous strikers were not doing much was because, when they were there, the midfield was not as good as it is now, so they often had to come and fight for balls. They were virtually feeding themselves instead of the midfielders doing that. Now, that we have a better midfield and scoring chances, it takes the likes of these guys to convert those chances.
Be specific and tell us if you want Yakubu back, so we can rate your brain as well.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Spain - Player Rating by collynzo2(m): 12:28pm On Jun 24, 2013
madanne4real: I still do not know why Michael Eneramo was not invited by the Technical team. He is big, strong and agile. He would have done more than the flat attackers we presented in the tournament. It is a learning curve though.
Akpala and Ujah are big, strong and agile. I know people loke you who were claomouring for their inclusion, they are now singing a new song, no the same song with different lyrics. You might just be one of them.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Spain - Player Rating by collynzo2(m): 12:19pm On Jun 24, 2013
timecop28: Dynamo kiev in Ukraine..The league's second top scorer, obviously Nigeria's top scorer in Europe in 2012/2013 season. Do you well remember Uche's performance at the Nations cup?? Aiyegbeni at the World cup?
Quit living in the past bro. These guys mentioned above are finished.
Dead and finished!! T think Ideye should be dropped to the bench though, he's had enough chances.
SportsRe: Your Assessment Of Keshi's Team To The Confederations Cup? by collynzo2(m): 12:11pm On Jun 24, 2013
larimo: Osaze, a striker, has scored 9 goals in 55 appearances in 11 years for the Eagles, while Mikel, a deep-lying midfielder, has scored 4 goals in 51 appearances in 8 years.

Why all the fuss about Osaze's coming backhuh? huh huh huh
SportsRe: Do You Think Nigeria Needs A Foreign Coach? by collynzo2(m): 10:22am On Jun 24, 2013
ADIGUN adekunle: he need to setle with some players like osase.
Osaze will not add anything to this team, rather he'll destroy it. Osaze is no Messi!
SportsRe: Do You Think Nigeria Needs A Foreign Coach? by collynzo2(m): 10:21am On Jun 24, 2013
victorazy: I think Igbo are the real antidote this country really needs. Imagin our strikers cant score bcuz no Igbo guy was there. I pity this country that the way other common, filthy, fragile, incapable, feeble, inproficient, brainless tribes are managing d country "thank God Keshi's name is Okechukwu" no wonder he is doing excellent. See Musa, no brain like cow! See Ideye-nettrophobian "fear of net" Mikel score "Igbo", Echiejile "Igbo"
Na wa from you o guy, no bring tribalism here biko. Nwannem e knugo?
SportsRe: Your Assessment Of Keshi's Team To The Confederations Cup? by collynzo2(m): 9:55am On Jun 24, 2013
timecop28: How easy for all of you to analyse. This shlda been invited, that shlda been called. If 'IFS' and 'BUTS' were goodies and chocolates, we will all have a merry xmas. You same folks were nagging about the 'big boys' not been committed back them so they shld be booted out of the team..Now u are advocating for their return.
Two things that go together..."Nigerians & Hypocrisy"
I tire for una o.
Bros I tire o! Could you imagine people have been suggesting Keshi should invite Ujah and Akpala before and after Afcon? I read kickoff.com a lot and Nigerians have been mentioning even Babatunde's name before Keshi invited him. Now those people have changed their songs. Keshi would do well not to listen to anybody, because those people will abandon him when he carries out their suggestions and fail.
SportsRe: Your Assessment Of Keshi's Team To The Confederations Cup? by collynzo2(m): 9:52am On Jun 24, 2013
dan tha mccoy: We need Osaze back, simple as that. With the football we played yesterday, we could beat any team in the world bar Spain - IF we had people to convert our chances. You can never have strikers/wingers like Babatunde, Akpala and hope to go anywhere. Even Shola Amoebi or Anichebe would have been better.
Keshi's pride irritates me. If he were Italy's coach he would probably have frozen out Balotelli.
What did your Osaze do for us when he was playing? Did we qualify for AFCON 2012? World cup 2006? We were called super chickens with Osaze in the team. He has 9 goals in 10 years, what is he supposed to do now at this age and lack of playing time with his club?
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Spain - Confederations Cup: (0 - 3) On 23rd June 2013 by collynzo2(m): 9:37am On Jun 24, 2013
tunex23: Am not liein despite e has less startin opportunity he comes in often has sub, and he played rili well. Beside dat self Nosa igiebor his by far more technically and physically better dan dat ogude, if u watch him against barca and athletico last season you wil agree wit me. He was one of o dere best players last season not until dat injury against levante ruin is season,
You said he was one of the most outstanding players in La Liga, that's a lie. He wasn't even one of the most outstanding in his club else he wouldn't be a substitute. Igiebor is not a defensive midfielder so don't compare him with Ogude. Finally remember that Igiebor started our first two matches at AFCON and was the flop of both matches. Thanks.
SportsRe: Your Assessment Of Keshi's Team To The Confederations Cup? by collynzo2(m): 9:22am On Jun 24, 2013
Spanish Coach: Vincent Del Bosque
‘Nigeria have a very dynamic style of playing and they were really going for the win in the first half but we had a bit more control in the second period,”.
‘The humidity here is incredible but I think we both have very technical players who can control the game and that meant at times we were able to conserve energy.’

SportsRe: Your Assessment Of Keshi's Team To The Confederations Cup? by collynzo2(m): 9:08am On Jun 24, 2013
People are very funny, the same internet coaches who kept singing for Keshi to invite Akpala and Ujah on Kickoff.com and other sites have changed their lyrics to include some other players.
SportsRe: Your Assessment Of Keshi's Team To The Confederations Cup? by collynzo2(m): 9:06am On Jun 24, 2013
Gguy4real: Although nigeria play a good and decent football under this man keshi but he should stop receiving money from this players for him to have a say if they flop look at ideye gambo akpla and some other flop players like that, I have been expecting this because he shouldn't have select akpala and ideye in the first place what happen to our inform strikers such as kalu uche micheal emenaro and others like that, is this what nigeria will play in next year 2014 world cup.
Kalu Uche was invited, he claimed injury. Eneramo would have flopped too and YOU would have been asking why Akpala or Ideye wasn't invited.

Nigeria proved to be the toughest foe Spain saw in
the group stage, even though the African
champions were unable to find the back of the net

iamdsam: We would have done better in our first game. In the remaining two games, I saw determination in most of our players. The only player I really have serious problem with is Musa. He's a bad player. I wonder why Keshi still kept him in our remaining two games. Maybe it's politics. I don't know
Are you serious? Without Musa our attack would have been none existent, we won't even be talking about missed chances because there would have been no chances at all!
SportsRe: Your Assessment Of Keshi's Team To The Confederations Cup? by collynzo2(m): 8:21am On Jun 24, 2013
While I agree our attack was our major problem, our defence was not that good either. Apart from the goals they conceded, they were exposed too easily throughout the tournament. We need to look at it too.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Spain - Confederations Cup: (0 - 3) On 23rd June 2013 by collynzo2(m): 8:16am On Jun 24, 2013
alex406: We dont have 2 yet. Ambrose looks more like an attacker than a defender. We need players like Osaze,Moses,Martins in that front. Nsofor and Joel Obi as well. Keshi disappointed me with his squad though they had a good game.
With the kind of names you mentioned, you need to update yourself seriously. Did you watch Martins against Kenya in March? Some of you don't watch football you just come to Nairaland to write rubbish. I'm sure you don't know where Martins or Nsofor plays.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Spain - Confederations Cup: (0 - 3) On 23rd June 2013 by collynzo2(m): 8:14am On Jun 24, 2013
kikuyu1: Wow! WTF happened? Ohh,I know. Spain and Uruguay aren't Kenya or Malawi, that's what happened! Whichever way you look at it you were outplayed in every department. You suffered the fate of all pretenders;you're not good enough for this level and came up short,publicly-it could have been worse.
Hmmmmm see Kenyan too. Hahahahaha
SportsRe: Your Assessment Of Keshi's Team To The Confederations Cup? by collynzo2(m): 8:12am On Jun 24, 2013
SuyaEater: Exactly what we lacked going into the confederations cup is exactly what we saw in the confederations cup.....

I like where this team is going and the discipline keshi has brought....no more because I am based abroad I will automatically get a shirt...you have to fight for it....when a coach call u up and you say you don't wanna play (anichebe, ameobi, shittu) ...keshi will not call u up again..who do you think u are?.....with that said we need the experience of osaze out there....let bygones be bygones....I think this team will be good at next's year world cup....with the same afcon squad and bringing a player like osaze off the bench....then beefing up other positions on the team.

I like what I saw against uruguay and spain....we are almost there
You were making sense until you mentioned Osaze. Osaze's problem with Keshi starts from when he was substituted against Rwanda after contributing nothing in the match, he refused to play the next matches because of that. Imagine what it will be like if he's benched. You guys should get real, some of his tweets even suggested that he's no willing to seat on the bench for club or country no matter his performance. You guys should get real.

Fûck Sidney Sam, we don't need mercenaries. We need players who actually want to play for Nigeria.
SportsRe: Your Assessment Of Keshi's Team To The Confederations Cup? by collynzo2(m): 8:00am On Jun 24, 2013
airmark: Keshi's poor player management dealt us a massive blow in the tournament. You put Ideye who nearly injured his ankle in his quest to nick in a cross, against top-class defence. Truth be told, strikers like Osaze, anichebe would have made difference. Most of the attackers paraded by keshi have no biz in goal scoring activity. Good exposure for the defenders and midfielders, though.
Anichebe has no biz on goal scoring activities he's a wrestler, Osaze has 9 goals in ten years for Nigeria. How will he suddenly become Messi? We need Imoh Ezekiel.

jossy26: Seriously, the Nigerian team is just an average team with no special talent, am sure we got other good players to use but nepotism, favouritism, tribalism, etc is the bane of nigeria as a whole. Even if Musa or Gambo isn't playing well, Keshi can't substitute them. We need to bring in some of players from under 20, the likes of haruna lukman, rabiu ibrahim, chrisantus, Ajagun etc are needed in this team
By the way, why am I still up dis latehuh
Do you keep up with the performance of those players? Tell me where Rabiu and Chrisantus plays? Nonsense post.

What is BIG about those boys? It's too early to be drunk.

So why does Ghana keep participating at nations cups and world cups, to tournaments they have never won?
SportsRe: Your Assessment Of Keshi's Team To The Confederations Cup? by collynzo2(m): 7:53am On Jun 24, 2013
I don't know how to defend Ideye anymore, Keshi should keep him on the bench for now!
