In politics there is no permanent friend, no permanent enemy, only permanent interests. Those taking sides be warned! You'll be put to shame. |
These politicians are just taking you guys for a ride. After everything, they'll settle and combine to loot our treasury while you guys wallow in poverty. Continue fighting over people who don't give a damn about you. |

Afam4eva: People are afraid to be the first to embrace change. They don';t want to be the first casualty of whatever may result from it. I don't know much about buildings but i want to believe there should be a reason why Nigerians go for blocks instead of wood. Could it be because we don't have quality woods in Nigeria or because woods are easily destroyable. I've seen houses in the US that were built with wood and were brought down by Tornadoes and hurricanes. I doubt if that will happen to bricks as much.Like I wrote before, they build with bricks particularly for the reason you just stated above. When a tornado occurs most buildings will fall, whether it's made of brick or wood. When this happens there are likely to be more survivors if the building is wooden. From the economic point of view why should I spent mich money in erecting a concrete building when it's likely to be brought down by tornado anyway? . Conclusion: we as Nigerians shouldn't just copy things senselessly, concrete buildings remain the best for our climate. |
Empero1: Ignorance is a disease ( no insult intended ). Sis , under normal circumstance , wood is the best material for erecting high rising buildings, in the west that's the norm .It's only the norm in places where hurricane/tornado occurs regularly. Imagine a concrete building falling on you during a natural disater and compare the impact with a wooden building. With due respect sir, you are the one who is ignorant. |
Paul onminyi: Tears drop 4rm my eyes,d way S.African re cryin bt 2 God b d Glory. Most importantly He receivin treatment in S.A. All those illegal collections by Obio Akpor boys have been banned, thanks to Governor Amaechi. This number was provided by Rivers State Police for anyone who experiences disturbance from them: 08033777717 |
Abagworo: Is the 8.8 milliion the entire project cost with plastering, roofing, landscaping and completion? I recently built a 6 bedroom duplex and it cost me 45million at a very controlled rate. I wonder how you expect to achieve a 5 bedroom with 8.8million.Who dash monkey banana? |
Any country who doesn't like it should offer us their prisons, we'll gladly send them there. Anybody who commits an offence worthy of a death sentence must face it! Our prisons are congested enough and we can't afford to let our government use tax payers money (that can be put to better use) to feed criminals who deserve to die. No way! |
EPOMA: I find some Nigerian very stupid, what is the fight, is it to provide electricity or jobs, we just get busy for rubbish, .Amaechi is not fighting anyone, that idiiot of a president is just scared for oppositionTell them o, you don't take sides in such things. The only thing we should be interested in is, what are they doing to better our situation in this country, not dirty politics. |
infonubia: Of course Notjustok.com is a blog. What is a blog? a blog is a type of website that is usually arranged in chronological order from the most recent ‘post’ (or entry) at the top of the main page to the older entries towards the bottom. A website on the other hand, isn't chronological.Ok I get the idea now. |
9icetoo: r u saying cars are not snatched in diaspora? Do you know how many stolen vehicles and parts from chop shops arrive nigeria daily from the so called diaspora? No go there oo.Don't mind the fool. |
The title is so wrong. It's against rule 21. |
Afam4eva: A blog is also a website. It's a kind of website.Does that mean all websites are blogs? All sorts of websites have been posted here. How is notjustok.com a blog? |
We can start exporting the ones we have already to our neighbours, they need it badly. They know themselves. |
ilugunboy: Trying to run before learning how to work...'walk', 'being'. |

FunmyKemmy: @Lakunlelogunro I started my own blog, because I believed if Linda can do it, then why can't I? From my own blogging experience, entertainment & sex stories attract most traffic. Most people just open a blog for the sake of being called bloggers.Linda inspires me, & I know I'll be her male version soon.I copy & paste-we all do,but I only copy when there's a VERY long story & LESS time. Feel free to check my blog at http://olakunleologunro..com Corrections are welcome. THANKS.You must be gay! Only gay men blog such things. |

CFCfan: Seun has to do something to make Nairaland more visible. NL has the potential to rival HuffingtonPost.I don't know how visible you want Nairaland to be again, any little Nigeria related google search I do, Nairaland is always number 1. Sometimes you can have the whole first page full of results from Nairaland. |
Afam4eva: You're right on that but because it's Linda Ikeji, no one bats an eyelid. Bloggers have to learn to be original. Most of her foreign posts come from http://www.dailymail.co.uk. |
