Toks2008: So you think people actually viewed it because they believe its important? Curiosity friend, not that the caption has anything to add to our intellect just like someone taking a stroll and hears some people shouting and decides to look in that direction so my point still remains that we need something more important and valuable on the front page. Simple.
don't mind the daft MOD.

FamilyRe: He Sells His Wife's Chin-chin In The Office by comechop(m): 2:36pm On Jul 25, 2012
Ujujoan: Stop displaying your ignorance. A good business man knows he has to explore ALL opportunities to market his products. The goods in question is a snack and which is something people use/take in the office - during office hours. Why do canteens exist in offices? Is that also unprofessional too?

This is a BANK and his chin-chin is not a competitor!

PS: He's not using it as a front for business. If you read the OP you'll see that he first brought samples to get his colleague's opinion. Whatever he sells now is strictly on request.

I wonder when Nigerians will quit being hypocritical!
Foolishness of the highest order. Keep on displaying YOUR ignorance.
FamilyRe: He Sells His Wife's Chin-chin In The Office by comechop(m): 2:22pm On Jul 25, 2012
braveheart2012: I am a bit surprised at the responses on this thread. It's obvious that most of the replies are coming from people with limited corporate experience. The man's action is unprofessional and this type of activity is expressly forbidden in most mid-size to large corporations in the West. In fact, the only other type of "employment" or "business" most employers will tolerate is non-profit work or volunteer work. Selling merchandise in the office is grounds for immediate dismissal. He is technically representing another business interest (his sole focus during working hours should be on the business he is getting paid full-time wages for.) In addition, he is using corporate property (i.e. the office premises) for unapproved personal gain.

Besides, it's just reflects poor judgement. It's a different thing if his wife came in to the office everyday to sell her chin-chin. But the man is selling it himself? Is this the same man I am supposed to promote to a leadership position and trust to safeguard my company's resources? What will he do when he becomes office manager? Convert the office into a supermarket? How are his subordinates supposed to look-up to a man that will jeopardize his career for less than 20k naira in profits per month? This is the type of man that will sell/rent-out office property and collect bribes to make extra-money on the side. If I were his boss, I would fire him immediately.

PS - My viewpoint is very westernized (although I was born and raised in Nigeria, I have no work experience in Nigeria). Given how upside-down and backwards most of Nigeria is, it wouldn't surprise me if this type of behavior is endemic at Nigerian corporations.
Couldn't have put it better myself, well said.

Dont understand the fascination with this dude on NL. Yes he's a famous artist or whatever but do we need to know everytime he poops or farts or eats or sleeps? Its getting a tad ridiculous. Surely there are more interesting things in naija and in the world that we could talk about?
Music/RadioRe: D’banj – Oyato by comechop(m): 2:55am On Jul 15, 2012
trust Nigerians, it didnt take took long for this thread to disintegrate into name calling, tribal wars etc etc.
personally, I feel like the song is just meh - nothing special about it. haters will hate sha o and fans will go crazy as usual.

either way, the guy is smiling all the way to the bank.

Just reading the thread is the exact reason why I don't interact with Nigerians. Brain-washed set of people. How in the world is anyone defending this verdict? It was on YOUTUBE for all to see.

And tomorrow, y'all will go and complain about oppression from the govt etc. I am a christian and all, but I refuse to turn a blind eye to injustice when I see it. What is wrong with YOU?? Why do you decide to ignore injustice in the name of religion? How foolish!

It is true - we deserve the leaders we get in the country. The replies on here are exactly why I fail to see any hope in the near future for Nigeria. Shame on you!

Gov. Fashola, i must admit, is one helluva smart politician.
a smart politician you say? how foolish. whats so smart about this decision? refusing to negotiate when his people are dying every day? Its amazing what years of basically slavery and oppression can change one's thinking! For you to call this man smart - you have a long way to go.
idiots.

darediamond: This is a GREAT good move.
There are knowledgeable People in Nigeria that can not just couple but come with excellent designs to Manufacture Good Products.
Look at JayJay Okocha, this Man is an INVENTOR when it comes to The Art Of Dribbling In Football.
There people like him at all Levels Profession in our Country.
I have an Uncle invented His own Incubator and Genotype Machine.
I know a Guy in Lagos who invented The First Ever Power Boost For Tiger Small Generator.
So it is time we make these people rise.
cant tell if serious or trolling. anyways, another (not surprising) dumb move by a dumb government!

everyday, NL reaches a new low. How did this ish get on FP? some loose girl running her mouth about doing a gigolo? All i'll say is - make sure you get tested. HIV and PID are real. And I do feel bad for your future hubby, if you do decide to settle down. The amount of baggage that you'll have..
HealthRe: Lagos Sacks Striking Doctors by comechop(m): 12:33am On May 08, 2012
Reading this thread makes me weep inside. Yes, NL is an online beer parlor like someone said, but still - is this what our fellow Nigerians think of our medical profession? Heart breaking. I've been on the fence about coming back to practice in Nigeria for the longest time, but after reading this ish posted here - to hell with that.
CrimeRe: Clifford Orji Goes Mad In Kirikiri Prison by comechop(m): 3:13am On Apr 14, 2012
violent: The only thing i consider madness in this case is the system that keeps people locked up awaiting trial for 13 fucking years...Is this even a country we have at all?

Justice is not served by making him await trial for his crime...Justice is only served when/if he is found guilty and punished accordingly.

What is perhaps even more gutting is that the rubbish newspapers we have have chosen to ignore these outrageous human rights violations and focused on mundane talks such as TB Joshua's predictions or Mo-Hits break up. We really are insane as a collective group of people, even the thread was focused on his mental health than the obviously more important issues. What if it wasn't Orji? what if it were someone who got locked up for trivial non-punishable stuffs like Insulting the village's "big man"?

A corpse as they say is just a corpse until that corpse is your pops!!!....the same system that sees nothing wrong in holding a man for 13 years without trial is still here and the next man may just be someone very close.
get out of here! Get that logic out of NL! What are you doing on here, making such sane and sensible statements?! Someone arrest this man!

Its incredible really - we all cry and lament about Nigeria, but are more concerned about the latest prophesy or about the latest 'celebrity' gossip and ish like that. We'll call this man 'mad' or whatevers - but he the right to face trail! But you have clowns on here shouting 'karma' etc. Its only fun and games till it hits home.
