TravelRe: Do You Ever Think Of Moving Back To Nigeria by comechop(m): 4:26pm On Dec 01, 2010
ysg4real:
I can relate with your concerns on moving back. No doubt about the fact the U.S. and other western world economic condition right now is very fragile, with attendant high unemployement rate.

Moving back to Nigeria i believe is very feasible, if well planned.

Without adequate planning, you may end up spending your savings with nothing to show for it. N2mm might seem like a lot of money but Nigeria can be very expensive.

On my first trip I recall spending in Nigeria, an equivalent of 3 months living expenses abroad in only one month. At the end of the day, it was money well spent. However, with hindsight, i would have taken a different approach.

My suggestions (and that is what it is) would be:

1. Try and reconnect with old friends and acquiantances, you would be amazed how far up people you left about ten years ago (in my case) have moved. Sites like LinkedIn.com (for business professionals) can help.
2. I dont know what profession you are into, try and research your profession's current trend in Nigeria, i know you mentioned that you want to set up a business, but trust me, you need a form of soft landing to enable you cover relevant expenses especially having being used to uninterruptible power supply, mobility, and having a comfortable shelter.
3. With the soft landing, you are better acclimatized and have the opportunity to better understand "Naija" terrain. The naija i left is not the same Naija i met, and you would be amazed how your environment (living in the U.S.) has affected you. It took me a while to drive, i couldnt just cope!!!
4. Take advantage of your accessibility to the "other" economy, i am sure there are pockets of opportunities/information in the U.S. you can better leverage on and implement here in Naija. I perfectly agree with what @Ivynwa said.

I hope i have been of help. Just my two-cents. All the best.
One of the best advice on here IMO. Poster think hard - 2 mill will get you no where in naija today. Either work harder and save up, or look at your other options in other states here. Its not easy to make it here (contrary to popular belief), but hard work and endurance will definitely go a long way.

All the best.

Whether good or bad, I love the discussion this is bringing about policy in Nigeria! Under babangida's or abacha's regime, this wouldnt even have happened. This is definitely progress. . .
HealthRe: Nigerian Hospital Closes Hole In Heart… Without Surgery by comechop(m): 9:04pm On Nov 25, 2010
Evil Brain:
The headline is wrong by the way. Caordiac catheterization is definitely a form of surgery. Its not as serious as cutting open the baby's chest cavity, but its still a very invasive proceedure.

You have to pass a tube through the femoral vein (in the thigh), all the way into the right atrium in the baby's heart. Nowadays I thing they use an umbrella-like device that opens up to block the hole which means the child will be carrying around a foreign body in her chest for the rest of her life.

Its ridiculous to say the hole was closed "without surgery"
You are wrong. It is definitely NOT a very invasive procedure - all you do is stick a catheter through the femoral artery - thats about how 'invasive' you get.
As relates to medicine and surgery, this nothing invasive. I appreciate your effort though, but being nitpicky in times like this is totally uncalled for.

Kudos to the docs. Cant wait to start doing stuff like this,

But if your story is true - then go ahead and expose him. Who knows how many girls he has tricked and how many more young naive girls are in line.

But why would you go into his bedroomhuh

AS USUAL:

The thread has degenerated into name calling, insults, etc. Typical Nigerian behavior. Why cant pple 'argue' sensibly??

To the OP: I still maintain that your story is a fraud. How the hell is that a CASE STUDY?? I could pick it apart in no time but there'r better things to do. One would think that the MODS on here would be better at filtering rubbish - but hey rubbish drives traffic to NL, which = even more money, so why would they do that??

The OP is jobless, the story line is lame and anybody who believe this is still living in the past. There is no state in the US where u don't have Insurance and License they will let u go. U have to spend the night in jail and see the judge the next morning. Moreover if they release u and u failed to show up they will issue a warrant on u. How come the Atlanta stuff? Mehn this guy is taking us for a fool. You must be an  to come up with this Yoruba movie.
Arrant Nonsense
I have to agree with you. The entire story is bullocks - seemed taken right off a nollywood script. Too many holes in the story - driving w.out a license, no seatbelt etc and just impounded the car? lol jokes.

Useless story - trying to discredit Nigerians abroad? What about Nigerians in Nigeria and how they are disgracing us?

Nonsense thread.

Over sabi housewife wey dey call him husband Mr.
what the hell does that even mean??

blakmonsta:
ishit4body sounds like a professional troll

1. she has a hot picture, so the men will ignore her filthy comments and drive traffic

2. she ignores intelligent comments and just focuses on those that are easy to shut down,  and she shuts them down with dirty language and insults in order to provoke reactions

3. she ignores the dating requests and lewd comments but does not discourage them. Her picture has not been taken down even though someone made it his signature

4. The picture is intelligently taken to hide her face (which looks pretty plain and unimpressive) and to emphasize her flat tummy, excellent bust and impressive height. Notice she has parallel hips, and probably a flat bakassi. You guys will probably not look at her twice in person, but she has skilfully trapped you with her picture!

In short, she is here just to fan the flames on the thread. Keep talking to her and you have become a mugu. There is no discussion here, its a spurious lawsuit and any mumu can see that. Its like a discussion on whether or not 2+2=4. some crackpot can claim that the mayans will arrive in 2012 to prove that it is 5, but anyone with half a brain will be long gone by then.
Well said. Brilliant first post! She's just a well staged and very successful troll.
WebmastersRe: Facebook Email by comechop(m): 4:52pm On Nov 16, 2010
Misleading heading. Its not 'facebook email'. Check out comments by the founder.

[size=14pt]Confounding rumours about what Facebook would announce, founder Mark Zuckerberg said the system was "not e-mail".

Instead, he said, it was modelled on instant messaging systems and will route messages to people no matter how they are using Facebook.

"It will handle messages across all the ways you want to communicate," said Mr Zuckerberg.

Fast friends
"This is not an e-mail killer," said Mr Zuckerberg. "It is a messaging system that includes e-mail as part of it."

Madness. Thanks for the midnight laugh all you clowns. Yes everyone of you.

@topic: its a spurious lawsuit - lacks merit and will be thrown out. Yes, taking pics of a total stranger in public is RUDE, but doesnt break any laws. Esp if those so called policemen were breaking the law, then kudos to the young man for trying to document it! We need more accountability in this country.

To fstranger and the other clown isheet4bodi - i honestly think ya'll are fit for eachother.
isheet4bodi has once again shown to us that there's more to woman than just her looks - after opening her mouth, showing us that she is probably well educated, but extremely foul mouthed and vile, no thanks, i'll pass. Lots of beautiful opinionated and sane girls with great bods out there too. What a shame tho - such potential. Just like in proverbs - a gold ring in the snout of a pig - what a waste!
besides, who the hell posts a pic of herself in a bikini on a random website? So pple can comment on how good you look? praise you? Lol attention seeking disorder - well she's getting it thats for sure!
@fstranger - well gat no words for you - you need some serious help no doubt. The earlier you figure that out and work towards that, d better for you.

Peace
