too many useless topics on front page FTFY
Used to frequent NL a lot - you know you could glance at the FP and see something thats interesting/worthy of your time. I'd spend lots of time going from topic to topic - twas better quality then. Now its just rubbish that permeates the FP - who cares about some random obscure nollywood gossip? No offense but why is a random dude's poem for his mother on FP? We dont need > 2 topics on the IBB vs OBJ pointless fracas. What about introducing diverse world news and stuff about other cultures? It has become more of a gossip site than educational/entertainment. Just my opinion anyways. . . maybe this was the intent from the onset.
Anyways now I spend seconds glancing at the FP - usually there is nothing time-worthy on there anymore. Sad really. |

Thatdave: i would return it to the cafe administrators telling them to HELP ME return it to the owner.
i have done that a million times and am very comfortable with it.
if i see some notes lying on the kerb by the road side , i leave it there hoping that the owner may come back and pick it. but if its a bundle (though never happened by the road side) i would return it to the any nearby shop telling them to HELP ME return it to anyone who can state the exact amount.
i have picked phones a million times, i have returned them all freely and THANKFULLY, and am damn comfortable with it.
every time ma sellers have mistakely ballanced me extra i return the extras imediately. if they get confused i help them go thru the whole calculation to help them prove that i was right.
i have done that a million times, and am so comfortable with, because thats the way i was brought up as a christian.

davidylan: hmmm maybe because he mentioned it? Should we just gloss over it so as to appear sanctimonious before those who think liberalism and sophistication is all about shredding your manhood in the name of h0m0sexualism?
1. There is nothing like a "homophobe" Phobia - An extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something Refusing to support an unnatural lifestyle does not mean i have an EXTREME fear or aversion to it. I just cant be bothered with it, i have a freedom of my own opinion without being blackmailed.
2. Because i choose not to support his lifestyle does not make me a "repressed" h0m0sexual. Referencing 2 out of billions of men is very poor statistics . . . you dont even have a p-value.
You referenced a pubmed article - now this is what gets me . . . clearly uninformed idiots who think they can flippantly use "science" as cover for their perfidy. This is a quote from your article - Both groups exhibited increases in penile circumference to the heterosexual and female Same-sex videos. Only the homophobic men showed an increase in penile Attention to male Same-sex stimuli. The groups did not differ in aggression.
So its clear non-h0m0sexual males DID NOT respond to h0m0sexual male stimuli! Of course any man will respond to a female . . . it doesnt matter if she's fooling around with another female. It has more to do with the features that are desirable to that man and less to do with the act itself. so on what basis does the article base its conclusion?
secondly, your article was published in 1996, its been cited ONLY ONCE in 15 yrs!
thirdly, the sample size is way too small to take the "research" seriously, 29 men? If you used that as a sample size in a drug trial the FDA would laugh you out of the room. wow homeboy got owned. |

horny4u: Teaching about prosperity is Oyedepo's calling and he is a great man & teacher and has taught me so much wisdom and i invite all to watch his video on the winners channel on the internet.
________________________
Having said the above no man has a right to take another man's free will. That free will was given by the Creator in his wisdom and while you can teach , you are not allowed to force anyone to do anything.
If Dbanj takes off the blings and goes back home to wear them then Oyedepo has achieved NOTHING by that correction .
Correcting someone in the full glare of everyone is unbecoming of anyone and achieves only resentment. We teach to effect a need within the taught to change their ways. Dictatorship must be
eliminated everywhere especially in the churches and schools.
We are all at different stages of enlightenment and so must let each grow at their own pace.
When Jesus said to stone if you have not sinned, I think he meant do not judge or criticise or correct but teach in loving kindness and a knowing understanding that life is in stages. _______________________

What is being done about it?
I was hoping someone would enlighten me a bit more about it. I know it is the reason for numerous annuled marriages, not being able to get a job etc etc - but can someone explain to me what is really is, why it still exists in Nigeria, and if anything is being done about this outright discrimination in the Ibo culture.
Please I'm not attempting to start a flame war or arguments - just looking to understand more about this aspect of our culture, and see what can be done to put an end to this barbaric practice.
Thanks. |

coogar: you must have been born obdurate. . . . .i can't even spoon-feed you cos you are too dense to grasp basic things. i simply told the op not to expect a highly attractive chic with high taste to be chaste. . . . .if you cannot grasp that theory, then feck off the webspace, find a broom and sweep a warehouse. coogar: you can either backslide and adopt the yankee way of life or stick to your beliefs and get a woolie-hat wearing, under-dressed/no dress-sense, no make-up, chaste and boring sister in the nearest church to your abode. don't eat your cake and have it. do not expect to get the attractive, weave-wearing, acrylic nail fixing sister without expecting her to drink, rock wild parties and fuck like a horn dog. Forgive my french but that is BULL shciess. My girl is damn attractive - and does not drink, club, party etc - she actually hates those. So yes - it is very possible, a highly attractive chic w high taste can be chaste. Rare, but worth it. Definitely worth it. |

No matter what you - dont lower your standards. I was in your boat for what seemed like the longest time, and I was seriously considering lowering my standards for real - until I found her. Everything i've ever wanted - and then some. The type you actually dream of. . . yes I did find her.
Right when I was at the brink of lowering my standards and settling.
Didnt think she existed - but its true, she does. Don't ever lower your standards for anyone, you'll spend the rest of your life regretting that decision.

Oba234: Men are hypocrites. Men always claim they like a woman with less make up, more natural, etc. Basically bull sh#t. Have you noticed the kind of black women that gets the most attention from guys? They are far from natural. These women wear the most makeup, wear the most weaves, etc. When you ask guys who they consider beautiful, who do they name? People like Kim Kardashian and Beyonce. All these women with fake long hair, fake eyelashes, fake booty, fake bosom and this contributes to women wanting to look like these celebrities subconsiciously. Guys will say they like natural, but when at the club or at a party they walk up to the fakest girl. Why don't guys take their own advice and start chasing towards the more natural women and I bet you will se a change in Women's attitude.
I have learned that guys just like the idea of a natural woman more than a natural woman herself. They don't want to know that make up and fake hair is what his making their girlfriend or fiance look beautiful. For example, a guy will complain about his woman putting on makeup, but once you put on the make up, they give you a compliment.
*disclaimer* This is just my opinion. you're hanging with the wrong crowd then. yes, men may want to hit up w the chick with the fakest everything, but they will never wife her. ever. There is just something about a woman that decides to take the plunge, accept her self for who she is and is just OOZING confidence that is so dammm attractive! Thats what ya'll dont know yet. I dare you to try it - and notice how the class of attention you attract will definitely change. p.s missy kim kard is for the most part natural - check out her pre-stardom pics/videos - she was still ridiculously attractive then. |
