It is bro. Partly geographical.. Fully economical & security (NATO).

Geographically part of the country is in Europe & part in Asia.. Cities such as Istanbul, Terkidag, Edirne, etc are in Europe side.. a long bridge separate the EU side from Asia side.

Economically it's Europe, as well as Russia, Israel, etc.

Lagos State Govt. is simply converting the existing tertiary institutions from Polytechnic & College of Education respectively to Universities.. NOT BUILDING "NEW PHYSICAL UNIVERSITIES" as you all misunderstood.

Great choice for coming to learn from Istanbul train system, one of the best & largest in Europe..

Istanbul, Europe's largest megacity of close to 18m people moves millions of people weekly via Excellent railway (Metro, Tram, Interstate), BRT bus, ships, etc. Lagos can rightly emulate this development.

Do you know that Istanbul Turkey is still the headquarters of Eastern Orthodox Churches worldwide just like Vatican is headquarters of Roman Catholic Church?The head of Eastern Orthodox Church is base in Istanbul and is know as Patriach Bartholomew 1 of Constantinople(Istanbul).
Turkey still have minority christians mostly Greeks and Armenians who are the original owners of the land and they still have their ancient Churches scattered all over the country even though their population has greatly reduced over the years.
When I visited Turkey last december I worshiped in this Parish of Saint Anthony Catholic Church and I still have some personal pictures I took myself in front of this magnificient Church.

You're very right. Orthodox churches are more in the South Western cities of Turkey: Izmir, Antalya, Bodrum, etc. Also Rccg & other churches have branches in Turkey.

I've also been to the Catholic church you mentioned, it's at Taskim, Istanbul. I still go to there when chanced.

Nigeria is deeply divided along ethnic and religious lines, we don't like each other, we insult ourselves everyday, we dehumanise and degrade each other for nefarious reasons.

But outside the shores of Nigeria, we are all treated the same way, nobody wants to know your tribe, we all carry the same image and identity out there.

This is why we should refrain from playing ethnic card every now and then, because it's not healthy.

I still remember when I posted about my tribe (igede) on this platform and how some unscrupulous Nigerians lambasted me severely.
Meanwhile I've defended Nigeria on different social media platforms from south Africans, Ghanians, Kenyans etc whenever they attack us more than any other person in Nigeria, yet some persons don't even want to hear about my tribe.

We are all responsible for our woes, be the change you want to see.

Op you're so right.. Folks here are mixing two things.. Abroad, the outside folks may know we are different tribes, BUT THEY DON'T CARE.

All they care is so long you're in good working, business & living terms with them.

This is true case in my experience in Europe, especially Turkey.

Oyinbo no care if you bi Igbo Yoruba Edo etc. Some close to you might just ask. But what they care is your good business/working relations.

Viz a Viz fellow Nigerians living abroad. No one really cares so much about tribes.

You know how many Turkish companies have established in Nigeria? Manufacturing, construction, textile, etc.

And vice versa for Nigeria business men in Turkey.

Nigerians own/run lots of cargo companies here in Turkey.. both containers shipping and airfreight goods
