IPOB don reach kwara This is becoming unbecoming. But how come if such happens in SE, they are called IPOB Just asking, Angelanest: There was pandemonium earlier today at premises of Kwara State High Court in Ilorin during the hearing of a N4 billion libel suit involving the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and the founder of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore. According to multiple reports, the comrades, journalists, and supporters of one of the parties involved were allegedly prevented by political thugs from gaining access into the court premises.
The vehicles which conveyed the journalists and others to court were attacked and smashed by the thugs before the intervention of policemen who were on ground.

I really don't understand a whole lot of things, who is using the country's money to protect his investment while the poor pay for security for their investments. I keep saying that this country is just made up of the elite and the masses. The elite uses the general wealth as they like, the masses fight and kill each other for the elites. The elites have learnt to use these lines on the masses, Christian vs Muslim, North vs South, Hausa vs Igbo, Yoruba vs Igbo, PDP vs APC etc etc etc and they are busy sharing the common wealth. [Lies from d pit of hell. I live in Oyigbo, works in d city, I wonder when all these happened. How come we see them only in news?? quote author=stephanie11 post=60424204]The commissioner of police, Rivers state, Ahmed Zaki has revealed that 32 suspected members of the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) have been arrested. He said they were arrested for allegedly being behind the fracas that occurred at Oyigbo local government area of the state. Speaking to journalists at the command headquarters in Port-Harcourt, Zaki said that the area has been restored to normalcy and vowed that all those responsible for the unrest will be severely dealt with. He also debunked reports that a mosque was burned down.He said: "The said group who had no justification for their action also attacked a Police van from Training School Nonwa en route Port Harcourt International Airport and burnt the Police van to ashes. The driver Inspr. Emaikwu Ochochi was badly injured and is now on admission. They also carted away one AK 47 riffle with sixty rounds of live Ammunition and one Berretta Pistol with 8 rounds of live Ammunition. At the end of their rampage, many vehicles were damaged and stores burnt. The timely response of the Police restored normalcy and brought the situation under control as I made adequate deployment to arrest the situation. The mob were dispersed with minimum force thereby restoring law and order. At the end of which 23 IPOB members were arrested. However, the Command was awaken to yet another sad incident today at about 0010hrs, where the same dare devil IPOB members regrouped and launched a surprise attack on the Mobile Policemen stationed at Oyigbo junction, killing a Police Sergeant identified as Sgt. Steven Daniel attached to 19 PMF, injuring two and set a patrol vehicle ablaze as a result of which a Sterling SMG Riffle belonging to the deceased Sgt. was taken by the hoodlums. They were however repelled by the Police, where about 9 of them were arrested, bringing the total number of suspects arrested to 32. They are helping us in Investigation and will be due in Court as soon as our Investigation is concluded." http://politicsngr.com/2017/09/13/rivers-clash-32-ipob-members-arrested-1-officer-killed-2-police-vans-burnt/
|

Keshi included him in 2013 Afcon as he was returning from injury. He fluffed his lines and was thrown away immediately, was never given a chance in the Confed or the world cup. quote author=adegwurulez post=60257913] Don't be too mechanical, my friend. National team football is much more than just statistics, other factors come into play. Granted, Martins may have some impressive stats but still might not be suited for this team. Ikechukwu uche also raked some impressive stats at villareal, leading to calls for his inclusion to the world Cup. Keshi heeded those calls and took uche to the world Cup but uche couldn't add anything to the team, Infact Ideye would have been a better pick. If we were to rely solely on stats, our attack to the world Cup will be filled with players like onuachu, Bonaventure etc not even martins
|
Sports › Re: FIFA Orders South Africa To Replay Senegal WC Qualifier (see Details) by comodo: 7:19pm On Sep 07, 2017 |
I understand that FIFA under Blatter was corrupt, but FIFA is FIFa. Why was the ref for that match not banned Why was the match not replayed the Irish coach was Trappatoni if I can still remember, not a local coach, Ireland filed a report to FIfa but it was swept under the carpet just cos they want France to qualify. Believe me, their is always this big teams vs small teams in FIFA. Can't remember any international game that was replayed under Blatter anyways I rest my case. BluntBoy: FIFA under Blatter was very corrupt. Even the 2010 world cup rights given to South Africa was fraught with allegations of bribery.
However under same Blatter, a certain qualifier had also been replayed, so stop this persecution complex stuff about it being because it involved Africa. How many times have matches been replayed? Before you shout persecution, you have to answer that question.
And before you shout Africa, please, do read up on events following the ban from FIFA. This same referee had earlier been excluded from officiating at the AFCON 2017 because of his abysmal performance in the South Africa vs Senegal match. CAF must have thought he was becoming rusty, not knowing that he had been bought.
FIFA have explained how they nailed him. FIFA follow trends of betting on its matches. They must have heard reports on the referee and began watching him. Every match he had officiated seemed to have ended as betted by major betters in the Middle East, especially. Also, the trend of major wins for matches officiated by this corrupt official brought on the suspicion.
In addition, watch that South Africa vs Senegal match. It was abysmal to say the least. The two South African goals were aided. The whole match was played to unfairly favour South Africa.
Lastly, it was the Senegalese football association that sent a complaint to FIFA. It was not FIFA that just rose up one morning and started persecuting Africa. |
Sports › Re: FIFA Orders South Africa To Replay Senegal WC Qualifier (see Details) by comodo: 6:49pm On Sep 07, 2017 |
FIFA is trash. Its Africa, they have shown their fangs and claws. What of France vs Ireland match? 2010 world cup qualifiers or so. Henry used his hand to stop a ball, used the hand to position it and they scored with the same move and the ref pointed to the center France knocked off Ireland with that singular goal and qualified. What do you call that Google Henry Handball or Hand of frog/god Mtchew Africa have suffered BluntBoy: That is UEFA's call, not for FIFA. FIFA is for countries, not clubs.
And you need to watch that South Africa-Senegal match. The referee did not even try to hide his act. His calls were suspicious from his offside call on Diouf to his added time. He killed that match for Senegal. Even the South African commentator for that match said something about "homeside ruling" or something like that. I watched that match but I can't really remember how that commentator put it. The match was disgusting. |

Nwakali is with VVV Venlo, on loan anyway, but maybe we will start seeing him after the international break, komekn: I am in agreement with you.
Nwakali on this thread is being considered on past glories but glories in youth football. He has spent a season at low rated Dutch club. If he was making waves he would be well known in the Eredivisie but he is not. Currently he doesn't merit a call up. The SE is not for boys but those who have proven themselves worthy.
It's quite obvious that we do not have a replacement for Mikel. I really would have liked to see Ogu in that midfield to see what he can do, particularly in the latter stages of today's game. His composure and calmness could possibly have calmed down matters for us opposed to the frantic play we adopted towards the end.
I actually would consider Sone Aluko for that role as a quality option. |

We should applaud the man for giving his team no worries at the back in such a game. He did well for a first timer. Yes a rush of blood made him to conceed the penalty, but before then, the same scenario happened in the 1st half, he stood his ground guarding the sticks before shehu cleared the line, I saw shehu talking to him with the sign that he should have come out for the ball. But am happy that when he was finally called up, he rose to the occasion. That stop was world class.we should say a big well done to him for not letting us down. FabioPeter: When you win 4-0 there is hardly any lesson to learn. In the first leg Ezenwa was hardly tested but he did the forbidden for keepers in two occasion, first he left his line for a cross that was out off his reach, the second he fumbled a weak shot to the attack line. Keepers/players make mistakes but when you reapeat basic errors there is more than enough cause for worry. We need Eyeama back. |

Today's game must be played with good temperament. Everyone in the team must know this. Our players should and must keep their cool. Cameroon will definitely provoke them to retaliate. It will be a bruising game but am happy about the referee and more so hayatou is no longer on seat. We pray for both the physical and spiritual to work in sync as it happened in Uyo. I see us qualifying today with an odd goal. |

No need going too far, Tony Harris is a good friend of Late SK, he was representing, Uchebo, Reuben and Uche Nwofor. All made the team. With Bag of beans Agbim. komekn: I can assure you 100% that Sone Aluko exclusion had nothing WHATSOEVER to do with ability but everything to do with SETTLEMENT and a complete lack of understanding of egunje politics and or a refusal to play the game the Nigerian way.
Do your homework, consider Gabriel Rueben, signed a 3 year contract with lowly Kilmarnock played maybe 30 minutes was so bad he never played all season and was released shockingly he went to the World cup for us meanwhile Aluko was a regular for Hull in the EPL. Check who Reuben's is agent was at the time and the arrangements concerning match bonuses, and you may be opening a very smelly can of worms, I am mindful of defamation his agent was Tony Harris.
Consider players who were omitted and mediocre players like Uchebo and others were selected and you know big wahala deh many questions arise that are indicative of sharp practices. |

Remembered no got some properties then cos the issue of matching ground, bush entry, drink money etc were all wiped out. But this time we are in Gods hands. The same group that was chased away are now in power. Was funny when I visited my wife's business and saw 2 baskets for refuse collection, One has Ohio Akpor on it, the other RVSG, I was like what She said they paid for the 2.. And other double taxations they are passing through. I no fit talk. They come to the shop with police and other paramilitary, they size ur goods, they give u all manners of harassment..... Most times they target those who ain't from d state.. MadCow1:

When Chalatans come online to sing Wikes praises or hype Rivers State I just laugh and shake my head. Rivers State has been in distress since the days of Peter Odili. The state is economically comatose. Big businesses have closed and moved. Insecurity became rife after the Youths realised that kidnapping was a faster source of money. There are no good paying jobs in Rivers State outside of the Banks and Oil Companies. The economy of the State is not just one tracked but also stagnated. Michelin Nigeria has abandoned base. Other big companies are paying an arm an a leg in security fees to the Police and Army. Have you seen Shell Nigeria moving their personnel in Rivers State? The only thing lacking is an attack helicopter. When these companies are not paying for security they are settling community Chiefs, Youths and touts. I can count the number of companies that have been blockaded by Youths and Juju severally. Nigerian Breweries na regular customer for Oginigba Youths. The Rivers Man is too intellectually Lazy to even do Yahoo business. It's always "Contracts" and "Government appointment".
Wike can't do shiit about it cos he can't turn his back on the community people and touts that helped him into power. Obio Akpor and Phalga Local Government Agents are all touts harassing the small business owners for one ridiculous levy or tax or sticker. The day the Oil dries up the State is finished. Look at Lagos.. Multiple sources of income for their economy and they keep opening up newer avenues. The tallest building in Rivers State was built in the 1970s. The biggest hotel remains the Presidential Hotel built about the same era. The States Ineternational Airport isn't fit to be a motor park. The Seaport in Onne is just for bragging rights and nothing else. The Railways are none exiting. Agriculture is not in the books of the Rivers Man and Even the States owned Palm Plantation which uses to be the best in Africa has been sold off. NAFCON which was the National fertilizer company is a thing to be remembered. Even Shoprrite will not open a branch in the State despite Ibadan and Enugu all having same. Real Estate business is A new concept to the state (Don't call Gulf Estate cos we all know how that came about). Almost all the businesses in the State are store and supermarket business.
This insecurity can't be stopped by Guns.. The streets are filled with hungry and lazy youths. The Government does not care as long as they keep the PDP Monopoly going at the expense of state security. Islanders, Greenish, Dey Bam, Dey Well and co have always existed in Rivers State but ever since they got the backing of the Government for political purposes, they grew into something else.
Rivers State is a State in distress and until the Government comes out with an honest approach to fixing the economic stagnation and rot in the State, the insecurity will keep rising.
Anybody with even 500k value wey want ehn peace of mind will not stay in Rivers State if they can. I know many People who relocated their families from Rivers State and only remain in the State for work and fly out almost every weekend to visit their families. |
