Governor Nyesom Wike has appealed to the armed forces to increase security surveillance in the local government areas that have recorded cult-induced violence and criminality in the last few days resulting in heightened political tension in the oil-rich state.

While appealing to the people to be law-abiding on election day, the governor said,”There is really nothing to fear for every law-abiding citizen of the State while exercising our right to vote. On the election day, simply take your Permanent Voters Cards (PVC), walk to your polling units to be accredited, peacefully cast your vote and, wait at a reasonable distance as allowed by law until the results are counted, announced and documented.

[b]“Do not submit to any intimidation by those who seek to scare you away from voting with the military. [/b]Take note that no person is allowed to go to the voting areas with uniformed security personnel or thugs,” Wike said.

I have received some really damning security reports about this Saturdays elections. There will be blood on our streets. Dont think we are talking about only the creeks and villages, I am hearing that guns are already in town.

I beg those of you who are sensible to stay indoor.

On Friday, I will be closing work by 2pm. My gates will be locked by 4pm and will remain locked until Monday morning depending on the reports coming out of the streets.

Alot of us are being unfair in our judgement, it would take a long time for any government to clean up the back log of rot they have to contend with. The man is tour of our power stations to better understand the problems better, give it time, things will definitely work out for our good. Criticisms are good, but some of you are being impartial, bias, blinded by ethnic divisions and just full of resentment for this government for no reason and are not willing to give them a shot. Come 2019 if you're not pleased with this government and how they've reformed thus far, endeavour to go out and vote in candidates of your choice. Until then, continue.

Yesterday in Omagwa KELGA LGA of Rivers State, Ameachi, Chidi Loyd, Byke Wanjoku and their thugs attacked a police check point close to the airport in a commando style they beat up the innocent police men for no reason.

This policeman is someone's father but look at what a serving Minister of the federal republic of Nigeria did to him for no reason.

They can come with Buhari as well,
