TheSuperNerd: Over a Hundred caps? Over just a hundred? Let me break it down for you a bit more Sir Dan..
Afcon 2019 would have been Mikel's 8th Afcon tournament had we qualified for the 2012, 2015, and 2017 editions. This is only Mikel's fifth after playing in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2013 and now in this beautiful ongoing tournament.
Each Afcon Nigeria almost always reaches the semis.... That's a minimum of six games to be played (third place or final included).
To be honest... Mikel would have been rivalling some Nigerian Greats in terms of Afcon appearances and Afcon tournaments appeared in. We could have been talking over 120 caps for Mikel pooling everything together(Afcon misses, WC misses, Friendly he dodged etc) but shaa.... Circumstances na wa.
Such is life sometimes. The NERD....SUPER GUY....welcome back |

klexycole: No one is talking about the team's passing accuracy. To me, their possession, pass accuracy, and offensive play have improved.
Candidly, Ola Aina is an upgrade to Jamilu Collins. He's very offensive and contributes massively to the attack.
Yes, you may say it's Burundi, but the team really tried. We can only hope they improve in the final third and the sick players recover rapidly.
Overall, an interesting match!
...The Land is Green a very interesting match, indeed d land is green.... |

oloriooko: A highly disappointing display by the SE If Rohr has a plan to get to the finals then he has started on the wrong footing Our MF is in shambles defence is porous and the goalie is erratic Like I said b4 the start of the AFCON Nigeria do not look like a finalist abegi |

Maybe he can go as a cheerleader. Since his mouth is always open, he might well make good use of it. "since his mouth is always open"....this statement is not good enough |

Danielnino00: A low pass from that angle might have be intercepted by the Argentina defender.. The cross Musa gave to Ighalo was a bit similar to the one Moses gave Musa to score against Iceland.. All Ighalo had to do was to control the ball and slot home.. but missed...Just like he messed up Iwobi's beautiful chance against Zambia..
Ighalo is hardly ever starved of service any time he starts for us but to convert it becomes a problem..
I hope the report that said success is starting is true...otherwise, let today's game be Ighalo last chance to redeem himself..we have had enough. lol, fans don vex for d guy... |

Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has named his starting XI for Saturday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya.
Francis Uzoho starts in goal and in front of him will be Shehu Abdullahi, William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun and Jamilu Collins in defence.
Wilfred Ndidi and Oghenekaro Etebo are the two holding midfielders, while Iwobi plays behind Isaac Success, who has displaced Odion Ighalo in the team.
Success will be flanked by stand-in skipper, Ahmed Musa and Samuel Kalu |

BascoVanVeli: I was there but if I didn't know Iwobi I would be asking what the Jordon Hybe is about. He didn't do anything we see on TV,, in fact his best moment was a delicious chip of Ezenwa something he has not done yet Ighalo seems to be on a mission. He was no smiles while coming and he didn't look like a guy lacking in confidence but I wouldn't call yesterday's performance a mind changer because they didn't do much. I was most impressed with Ola Aina. Seems to have lost a bit of weight and not only did he score 2 belters he looked more comfortable defensively.
Also I don't think those calling for Henry as top 9 know exactly how slender the boy's frame is well, its not by frowning of face, the fact is that he is either not good for SE or unlucky in the GWG shirt, which ever of the two.....I just don't wish to see him play tomorrow.... |
