Isaac Success case bothers me because he signed a contract extension which keeps him longer at Granada. That also makes it difficult for another club to sign him.

I hope a club rescues that guy because he has loads of talent. If not the poor performances of the Granada players, Success should be in the Super Eagles camp.

I hope Mancini and Inter Milan comes back for him.
honestly, I really wish he is rescued, dt guy is good abeg, has so much talents.

does it now take up to 2 years to get that permanent license? it was never like this in our days as fresh graduates/interns...i think i got mine within 3-5 months if i can remember correctly. With this development what will a fresh doctor be doing till he gets his FM number? just sit at home? Since most hospitals will not even accept someone who hasn't done NYSC...
my oga, e don reach 2 yrs wey I finish housejob now o, I paid for my licence immediately after hjob, and I was given receipt, which I presented at d camp( was allowed then), till now dey neva give me d licence o, so assuming ds principle was applied dt time, it automatically means I may still be waiting for deployment till now o.....nonsense

lebete3000:

So what's different in what d FG said and one who has gotten his receipt for full licence registration. I don't think there's any difference in what FG is saying cos it's actually those who've gotten their licence dat usually went for service in d first place.
doc, what I heard abt d last nysc batch was that dey were not allowed to enter camp with dir receipt or evidence of payment, dey told dem to get d main permanent licence gangan at abuja, I heard some had to travel from dir diff state of deployment to abuja to get d licence, I don't know if its true bt I got d info from a reliable source, unlike d previous corpers who were allowed to enter with receipt or evidence of payment for d permanent licence, dt was actually why I made d comment u quoted..

Who suffers from the ineptitude? NIGERIANS

Lets educate those that aren't aware of the situation..
To partake in the compulsory internship by new doctors, MDCN offers them (doctors) a provisional license lasting 2yrs. After this license expires and the doctor would have finished his housejob, the same mdcn would offer a full license to practice medicine unsupervised, after which the doctor would proceed on the NYSC posting.

Now,because of the Nigerian factor of ineptitude, corruption and "not my business" ,the MDCN after collecting money from these doctors for the permanent license ,have been delaying to release them for service. It takes 3days to verify info and print licenses so I see no reason for this delay..

Meanwhile ,these doctors are idle pending when the license will be issued..
At the end , the license is mostly issued or the fakes sent home. It's the doctors time that is wasted ...

Sense is scarce o
bros, una get time to dey explain o, av u heard of reading without understanding? So many pp on nairaland read without understanding because dey are kids... Av paid for my full licence since God knows wen, dey neva give me d licence, na only receipt dem give me, dey said dey will contact me wen ready, till tomorrow d tin neva ready..what a country....

[b]Chile U-17 World Cup ends tomorrow with The Golden Eaglets facing Mali in the Finals. We expect this set of players to form part of the next U-20 World Cup. Therefore, the journey starts now whether they win in a few hours' time or not.

The 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup will be the 21st edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, the biennial international men's youth football championship contested by the under-20 national teams of the member associations of FIFA, since its inception in 1977 as the FIFA World Youth Championship. The tournament will be hosted by South Korea between 20 May and 11 June 2017.

Along with Japan and Mexico, South Korea becomes the third nation to have hosted all of FIFA Men's international competitions, namely the 2002 FIFA World Cup, the 2001 Confederations Cup and the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

The Korean FA originally place a request of hosting the tournament away from the traditional June/July period, as it would clash with Korea's rainy season, as well as any possible national team selection were they to qualify for the Confederations Cup.

Welcome!

We don't know if he had an unmentioned medical condition (especially cardiac), as such mode of death (all other things bein equal) point to a myocardial infarction or second degree heart block
Again at this age, taking that he prolly had been on seat for long, we could suspect that he 'threw an emboli' from venous stasis.
Yes he is a professor of medicine and shouldnt be a culprit of these but we medics are some of the biggest neglecters of our health.
very possible

Thanks for that observation. Most Drs posted to the PHCs are hardly ever at their duty post. There is a PHC near my house, sincerely I av never come across the Dr posted there and a PHC where I had my community health experience. Yet, these absentees will get paid for the work not done even more than the 1-2 nurses and the CHEWS working with them. But at the end of the day when something goes wrong, these bad eggs will be covered up by their ogas and the nurses will be the scapegoat. I think it's high time erring health workers are made to face the music for their wrongdoings.
most doctors posted to PHC are corper doctors and dey are hardly paid for call duties, pls don't say what you don't know..tx

The little I know about a lot of PHCs. Usually one corper doctor is posted there if any at all. There is no accommodation available for staff, so no resident doctor. One doctor cannot be on duty 24hours everyday of the week. They usually have an ambulance to transfer bad delivery cases, cos they know the midwife on duty can only do so much. The midwives there try to sort cases during antenatal, often referring patients that may likely have complications ab initio to teriary or secondary centers for antenatal. PHCs don't have a blood bank, and cannot handle any case other than a normal delivery. This was obtainable like 8 to 10 years ago. Things may be different now though.
I would have suggested they scrap taking deliveries in PHCs, but they do cater successfully to most people in the neighborhood that utilise them, and scrapping them would further overburden secondary centers that are already overwhelmed. The need for accommodation in the area or in the center itself for the doctor posted there is also important unless they have like 3 of them that can rotate calls. The need to ensure ambulances are always functional can also not be overemphasized. I know Gov Ambode donated several ambulances to secondary centers all around Lagos recently. I also know PHCs have always had ambulances even way before General hospitals. The question now is why was the one in question not working especially in a center that takes delivery?
Now regarding secondary centers or general hospitals, in most states, they are simply NOT ENOUGH. There will always be no space available. For a state like Lagos that has how many million residents, there are only 24 general hospitals catering for them. That is an absolute joke.........
na real absolute joke...
