Looool. Thank you. I try my best to encourage younger folks in the trade. I also got similar encouragement when I was starting. I especially remember my former boss, Bayo Sanni. He is a very intelligent guy. My first interview with him, he told me I wasn't ready. Told me to go study some materials. I came back to him 3 days after and even though I wasn't an expert, he could clearly see I had gone to put in a lot of work. He took a risk with me and it was a very rewarding experience. Through him, I was able to meet very highly placed people in P&G Nigeria and that completely changed my career path. Gained very high levels of confidence working with very senior management level people at a multinational. Learned the lingo and metrics that management were interested in. In this IT field, ability to interface with management and deliver on their expectations is very crucial. You don't necessarily have to know how to code, but just knowing what tools to assemble to get the task done can take you very far

Few months ago, I told some children here that by 10 matches we will see the Arsenals we use to know.

No issues. It's normal to feel a bit knowledgeable when you start learning. I too felt I knew everything until my first job I was asked to do a VLOOKUP. And I was just looking up to the ceiling whether Baba God will save me from the shame. You have the raw talent to be great. But understand that even the greatest no dey admit that they are great. Work on your craft. You can improve on your skill by studying materials for RHSCA. That command I asked you was what I was asked during a Linux interview. And I was talking about listing the files blah blah blah. RHSCA will enable you gain very sound entry level Linux knowledge that is applicable in the field.

As for programming, C is a tough language but it can be very rewarding. I don't code a lot these days but our core software, Freeswitch, was developed in C so from time to time I have to look at C code. I'd advise to look at C++ alongside C. And if that's the language you really have interest in, then start thinking about developing Linux drivers. Canonical, lead sponsors for Ubuntu Linux are always looking for C/C++ devs.

I don't know why I just feel comfortable and happy whenever you talk.

ALX, if u don't have any programming language background abeg no waste ur time with ALX. Because u will end up as a copy and paste programmer.

Instead go on youtube or buy courses from udemy.

I do actually. At first I tot it was for security purposes cos of the things happening in the country but her further rant proved me otherwise which now infuriated me.

It Is jealousy.It is a defense mechanism women put on when they perceive you as a threat,as someone more beautiful,successful or better than them.Even other women faulted her when they heard what happened.

I have seen a lot of times it makes me cry.
I was once in a bus coming to the east .beside me was a woman that kept vomiting until she alighted.I massaged her back,gave her nylon cos the driver refused to stop and my bottle of water despite my being tasty.When she alighted,other passenger s were asking me to come down but I quickly told them I didn't know her.They were surprised.

Security situation of the country shouldn't stop us from providing help cos we will always need each other to survive.

My mum taught us that and I also expect to get help when I need it

Realistt:
My wife left our home for the past 1 week to her parents house. She told me she just wanna pay them a visit unknown that she has another plan. I called to ask why she is taking long than expected in her parents but she didn't give a valid reason for staying. What is surprising to me is that her parents who gave her out during marriage condole her persistent staying with them for over one week. This is the 3rd time such is happening and her parents sees nothing wrong with their married daughter spending close to 2 weeks with them without finding out what is wrong from me. My wife's parents BIASED attitude is one of the major reason why I stopped talking to them because they have this habit of believing and accepting everything their daughter says without asking my own side of the issue. Interestingly, My wife is fighting me that I am not close to her parents! Abeg, how on earth will a person be close to parents who are notorious for taking SIDE and always supporting their daughter at any given occasion?. In summary, I told my wife today to come home to pack her stuff back to her parents house since she has been staying with them for close to 2 weeks without given any valid reason. In her response, she said she will will be home next week to pack her luggages and I told her never to come back if she attempts to move her stuff to her parents house. Plz note that our marriage is less than 2 years and we have a SON together. Abeg, ya all should let me know if I have done wrong ignoring her EXTREMELY BIASED PARENTS by not calling them and also telling my wife to come pack her stuff back to her parents house since she left me at home to reside with them?
PS: We had no quarrel before she left the house. She took her drama to the next level LESS THAN A MONTH THAT SHE GOT A JOB.

Sometimes, girls are quiet and hardly forgive if you offended them in the past.
They will surely get back at you the moment they stand on their feet.
I'm not justifying her absence ans I'm not patting you in the back but look back and think deeply on what you might have done to her when she was jobless and she's trying to do her own now.
If yes, please 🙏 apologize to her and her parents and get your family back.
