Nah, don't get me wrong, was on mobile before so I couldn't quote, one of your replies to beta things was that the initial post isn't malicious or insulting in any way, so I referred you to this one.
aloy/emeka is a muppet and his general muppetry has just commenced.
but i was right when i said he wasn't malicious in his previous comments - it's midday wherever he dwells now so his brain cells are getting cooked up.
i wouldn't expect you to think he would be rational for the next few hours. come back here in 9 hours and he would be normal all over again.

Why insult the poor woman if you are really out to seek muslim women's opinion?
when was i malicious and which of my comments insulted you?

My mother have told me one time that even if i caught my wife red handed with another man that i should take back my wife and prosecute the man. If i get home, i can now sit my wife down and ask her wat lead to her actions and try to win her love back.

So can u divorce your spouse for Infidelity, Sickness, Lazyness, Recklessness, Dirtyness, Woman or Man beater or wil u stay and change your spouse because for me if i EVER get married i wil never go for a divorce. Wat of you?
if my mum gave me this kind of advice, i would ask for her dna test results and match it with mine.
take back my wife and prosecute the man? was the wife forced to fuck the man

listen to that advice at your own peril.

Family › Re: Halloween by coogar: 12:34am On Nov 01, 2011
pslm23:
Tonight a lot of children and adults will dress up as some weird character and go from house to house collecting candy and celebrating halloween. A lot of homes have ghoulish scary decorations adorning their homes, inside and out, things like tombstones, spider webs, fake bones, fake bats, fake vampires etc.
As a Nigerian living abroad I do not personally celebrate this day with them because I look at it as a pagan thing. I don't know how Halloween started but it seems to be all about dead people and dead things. Just this morning I was at my local WAWA store and saw someone dressed like Ghaddafi complete with the black curly hair and cap. He even had some kind of red and white stuff smeared all over his face depicting blood and brain. sad

I remember how we celebrate occasions like Christmas and Easter in Nigeria and living in this country has opened my eyes to how different people here celebrate. For example, what has Easter got to do with a rabbit and eggs? As Easter approaches, you see rabbit/bunny outfits and painted eggs in every shop and people hiding eggs in gardens and parks. is that what Easter really means?

My question is this, would you as a Nigerian parent, allow your kids to celebrate Halloween and why?
i lit hundreds of fireworks over the weekend.
i either join them or get my crib peppered. my street is mainly populated by youths and young parents so it's a festival here.

it's not as bad as people think - if you can't beat them, you join them i suppose.

If you want to foxy, why not use a word that has a subtle derogatory meaning
a geezer is most likely a cranky, eccentric
This is Oxfordictionaries
British = a man:
he strikes me as a decent geezer

North American informal , derogatory an old man.
Which one? decent conversation without a needless expression that can mean something derogatory or the passtime of your people
if i were you, i would settle for that cos that was exactly what i meant.
if i had made any other abusive comment in my missive to you, then i would have understood the doubt.

What a wordly outlook! I am to believe that minds have not been made up about the matter
Have you read the suggestive and follow up questions from the OP
i have and it's far from your own war you want to create here.

What does the part in bold mean
it means what it says exactly.
in this day and age when most people are shunning polygamy.  people(especially women) are more educated than they were 20 yrs ago and women have been empowered. so it's interesting to know what muslim women feel about polygamy.

Look, your guys have been raising issues about Islam for long and the intent has always been the same
Ok, in this day and age of civilization, what do you think about the position of the Bible on H.omo.s.ex.uality.
homosexuality is perverse.
i believe every christian will tell you that.

When you are quoting what you believe in to counter or refute, it is different
Read what you wrote
what did i write?
this is funny cos deols that i engaged throughout did not see any problem. i am a bit astounded you have decided to nominate yourself as her public address system.

And all the wars inthe Middle East are religious?
theatrical - it's strictly hollywood.
nothing religious at all. killing innocent people in the war against infidels is not religious?
i laugh in khomeini!

The Battle of Lepanto was celebrated by the Pope
Just like the St Bartholemews Day Massacre
And war can be internet-based such as the ones your folks have for long been fighting here
my folks?
betathings - don't push your luck too hard.

In any case, it is a christian nation that last invaded a muslim nation without cause in  the ME
You will notice of course that you mentioned religious war first
which christian nation? educate me, please.

And we know your group provoke muslims all the time, as soon as we mention it, you suddenly go saintly
which group? can you be a bit concise in your comments?

My wet dreams? You are such a wordsmith!
i wear that like a badge of honour!

I actually read with my own eyes the OP talking about somebody being in the cold while another woman is with her husband
A court will not allow such a leading question
it is not offensive, it is not abusive.
i see no reason why a court will not allow such a leading question.
you women of islam have been told to persevere, to be patient and to endure. it does not mean you are comfortable with everything. so the op was just trying to finecomb and see how the women of islam really cope with polygamy. i see nothing malicious in her question.

Why not simply ask the women how they feel about polygamy and without leading with such imagery if he truly believes the women have the sense to appreciate the question
the imagery is important cos a lot of the women on here are not married yet. many don't even know what they are getting into entering a polygamous setting. it is important the op puts the imagery so as to get the real reaction of the women of islam about polygamy.

like jarus said. . . . "Naturally, a woman will find discomfiting his husband marrying another wife. This is natural and I think pardonable but a Muslim woman should try to suppress it and avoid overreacting" therefore, it is educative to know how the women of islam feel about the practise.

call people names? where did i call you names?
if you don't know what the word geezer means, then use your dictionary.
geezer = guy = bloke = man.

What is the purpose of this thread?
to educate the non-muslims what their women feel about polygamy. . .
in this day and age of civilization, it's interesting to know what the educated muslim women feel about polygamy.
i have learnt a lot from the thread particularly from deols who isn't as vile as you sound.

But quoting the Bible to try and refute an Islamic position is not denigrating the position of Islam?
i quoted what i believe in, she quoted what she believes in. nowhere did i say she was wrong or her beliefs are wrong.
perhaps, you are making your own argument just to chirp in.

Religious wars are started by christians all the time and they then craftily play the peace lover
yes, the pope started all the wars in the middle east.
listen to yourself.

If a muslim woman is happy with her "suffering" in a polygamous relationship, why not leave her with her "problem"?
dang it!
can you read the topic for once and stop comparing with your own figment of your wet dreams.
the original poster asked if muslim women would tolerate a 2nd wife. nowhere did she mention suffering.

Oya coogar,
Since there is nothing wrong with this Chelsea team aside from Sturridge(ignoring how toothless&ball-less folks like Torres is in general and the shoddy defending by a side that hasn't kept a clean sheet all through the EPL season as evident by the the shambolic defensive display heightened by Terry falling flat on his face and Walcott rising from sleep to score),tell the Chelsea fans what youve been peddling on the United thread;that the reason they lost to Arsenal was because they were tired from the Carling Cup tie at Everton.
It should be interesting,their response.

chelsea fans are not paraplegics. they visit the united thread. they must have seen what i wrote about chelsea.

when u said "so she shud b a 2nd wife", u say that like its despicable and people have not done it and found happiness in it!nawa!!
that they don't complain does not mean they are happy!
no woman can be 100% satisfied sharing a husband with another woman. do an opinion poll in your neighbourhood, the results will shock you.

u say it like its doomed to fail, yet there are many situations where it has worked for the greater good, eg my mums family!!
yes - just like killing of twins worked for the greater good in calabar!
maiming of witches also worked for the greater good in eastern nigeria - completely forgetting a certain sacrifice was made b4 the "greater good".

hire a maid? some people are not comfortable with maids, eg me!! i don't like em!!
then get a youthful relative - nephews, nieces, etc.

well, i take the words of the QUr'an and the hadith the way they are. I will find out more InshaAllah.

but your quotation says lustfully and my talk is about knowing what happens. I just dont believe yet that you are human if you never had a thought of what that is. some things are just innate like children asking funny questions u cant answer - and dat is not a sin until otherwise proven -  every1 wld av sinned then.
of course, all men have sinned and come short of God's glory.
if not - why do we ask for forgiveness everyday?

in these days of sex glorification - people commit fornication everyday subconsciously!
Islam › Re: Muslim Women & Polygamy: Would You Tolerate A 2nd Wife? by coogar: 8:02pm On Oct 31, 2011
deols:
it is very easy for u to think ds way. It must be difficult thinking of pple living their lives in other ways than you do. I asked u to tell me if your explanation is according to d bible or not but u avnt.
it's according to the bible - i have never finished reading the holy quran.
the book of matthew(5:28) - but I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

learn this. Allah says of zina- Do not even go near ‘zina’ (fornication or adultery) for it is a very indecent thing and a very evil way!
and the prophet said -‘The eye commits ‘zina’, and the palm of the hand, the foot, the body, the tongue and private part of the body confirm it or deny it.’
from the above explanation, nothing is mentioned of the mind- except if u can quote one that am unaware of.
conveniently ignoring the fact that the mind processes n sends messages to the foot, body, tongue and private part.
without your mind, these things won't respond to stimuli. so every action starts from your mind(brain)!

I want to believe the mention of tu face is only  metaphorical. It is natural for us to internalise certain things. I know a lot about s3x more than u can think I do(dat is not fornication as far as I am concerned). In fact, about three yrs ago, I wrote an exam(during ramadan for that matter) in which i found myself explaining that process. Are u saying I sinned by so doing? if that is fornication, then the bible wldnt av called it a sin.
it's not natural - maybe it's natural now that sex is glorified everywhere but that wasn't supposed to be.
if you fornicate with your mind - you have done the equivalent of folks having sex - that is set in stone!

*note, I naturally wld av ignored this but some1 might learn something. Am in fact saying it cos I know wat pple say when virgin talks come up on the romance section. I shld write somfn bout it soon, awaiting criticisms.
hehe
can't wait!

your reluctance is your loss. and btw, u should be, if wat u want to sell is wat am thnkn. for goodness sake! cldnt u b willing to talk about something else?
i just happen to be the kinda bloke who cannot stand rejection so when i see a sister in hijab, my chances are halved already.
i don't risk 50-50.

and earthly beings should start knowing that they(sisters) are humans too and are liable to err.
thanks for this tip.
