Not about to go another round of argument on a premise based on what Coogar thinks things ought to be instead of what they actually are but. . .if there was a living room, why on earth would she sleep on the floor in the bedroom?! And even if there was a livingroom, it still doesn't absolve them of behaving like animals.

Sometimes, all the info we need is right and it just takes reading it right.
because some women are very insecure about their bedrooms......
think about it - why did she invite them in the first place knowing they are married and they would be sleeping over? then again, where did she go when she woke up to find them having sëx if there was no living room?

cyberbullying on nairaland?
this same forum 99% of the members claim they don't take serious are now reporting they have been bullied? i don't want to believe it. i think i remember the cot thread and the people who were against the poster only felt she could do better than asking other members for a 2nd hand cot. it was more of a misunderstanding than the bullying richkunt is talking about. abeg, no nigerian can be bullied - we are immune to insults and yabs as long as its done within a reasonable degree.

fubbyy: am signing off from this thread, mike, uyime said you are an active nairalander, I hope you will see this thread, I wanted to post it in romance section so you must see it but mods would redirect it here so no need, apology to you all that I insulted, am not suppose to bring this issue on a public forum but I did because that's the only place I can reach the person am looking for
even after 8 yrs, you still have the inability to guard the words from your mouth!
you jealously leaked my secrets to my girlfriend which caused me a massive heartbreak - i was pained and i felt the only way to take the pain away was to do the same to you. i have evened things up and i have moved on. you should move on too. greet uyime and capone - tell them it's not too late to change their ways. i have found the light and the way, you should kowtow me as well.

stay blessed!
My understanding of self contained is just one room which doubles as both living room and bedroom. . .so where exactly should the host have "Unobtrusively" parked herself?

I'm not sure the prevailing act of blaming victims is gonna to end right oh....someone opens her home to others and she's being blamed because she didn't know they might want to have sex??! Is she a mind reader? Is it her fault she didn't know her friends are dogs who see nothing wrong in doing it anywhere??!

How badly did they need it that they couldn't wait? If they really wanted it. . .don't they have a car, why not go do it there? How put out someone who has generously opened her home....inconvenienced herself for them, isn't that the least they could have done since they could have been sleeping in that car if she had said no to them.

Somehow in the middle of hailing the married couple for still having the hots for each other. . .we are ignoring the fact that there are rules, proper manners....common courtesies which direct the way we behave.

If we all let out urges overrule our common sense just because "we have a right to those urges"....only God knows where we would be as a society.
nope!
self-contained is a one bedroom flat. it has a living room and a bedroom.
kitchen and bathroom/loo can be shared with other occupants of the building........so my point is, she should have slept on the couch. who invites a married couple to sleep over and expect them not to have sëx? if anything, the married couple are the victims. the host took their rights to privacy for granted and stayed till they couldn't take it any longer and they proceeded.....
Now you're making sense!
But it still begs the question, why did @poster invite them there knowing all of the above as you've aptly described?
the host had hoped she would be invited to form a ménage a trois.......when it became obvious she wasn't going to be invited, she left the room in frustration only to start telling all and sundry that her guests abused the hospitality she gave them.

I tell you, we aren't being told the truth here. There most definitely was an ulterior motive grin
ulterior motive - i only suspect the host here.

Nigerians are gullible and it's sickening. I used to site some chickens praising him and adressing him as their role model. He even promised some of his "fans" vacations to some exotic island. The chickens would thank him and pray their own "turn" for blessings is soonest.

I wonder if it's the education standard in that country or people just don't wanna use their heads.

Ujujoan: So people should behave like dogs without self control abihuh
The fact remains that if the knew the couldn't control themselves they should have gotten a room and had their crazy sex. I don't get why people behave like animals.
One question, will you do something like that huh Pls answer truthfully.
why not?
if you consider where people have done it in the past, you would marvel. there's a programme on tv the other night - "weird places people have sëx" . i laughed and laughed. elevators, office tables, stairwells, parks, passenger planes, etc. one thing you must understand is not all of us have the self control when it comes to sex. will i do something like that? i don't think so. not with someone else in the same room.

debosky: Spending more time doesn't mean simply not working - it may mean, for example, spending less time trying to get rational ideas into thick heads on NL. cheesy
thick heads like debosky, sisi-skill and the witchdoctor. grin

Like I said, you live in a fantasy world, not in reality. The decision to spend unlimited time with kids is mostly not without consequences - sometimes that will mean a lower quality of education, or a sacrifice of additional earnings. It's up to those involved to decide, where they have a choice.
what are the consequences when one half of the parents of that child is still working? i am not talking about single parents here - but 2 people who have decided to split their roles for the greater good of their kids.

That's your prerogative - let others decide how to live their lives without you imposing your views.
impose views? how? people who want to spend their entire week at work should do so by all means. wetin concern coogar about how mr and mrs okoro want to live their lives?
In a self contain?
then it begs the question - why did the host invite the couple when she knew there's only one bed in the house?

Where do you want her to sleep? On the window? The fact is these two had an agenda. They came all the way to ABJ without having adequate accommodation. They can find transportation but no accommodation abi. Which kain shameless couple be that, with the shameless husband self in tow. I believe they knew exactly what they came there to do. Shior! grin cheesy
she shouldn't have invited them and if it was an emergency ish, she should have gone elsewhere to sleep for the night. who sleeps in the same room with husband and wife? she deserved the treatment she got! she just delayed the aggro in the couple until they couldn't take the heat anymore!!!
Family › Re: Being A Nigerian Housewife by coogar: 5:54pm On Jan 31, 2013
debosky: There is no such dictation of logic - the only logic is that the parents do their best within the constraints to give their child a good upbringing, whether that means staying at home (for a while or permanently) or working is solely the prerogative of the parents involved. There is no one size fits all.
really? but you just told me now you nurse the ambition of spending more time with your son.......it means deep down, you know you can do better than what the current situation is.

For example, if in the name of 'spending time' my parent(s) end up sending me to the decrepit public school down the road instead of earning money to send me to a decent school, they have wasted that time.
decrepit public school? i am starting to think nigerians don't plan for their kids with all these examples you give. why decrepit? husband n wives had jobs before the birth of their child, they also had savings - so tell me, where does the decrepit ish come from again?

for the sake of argument, you can also be home schooled, debosky!
most parents can still school their kids in elementary math, english and what not!

There can be such a thing as too much time - the key is making a judgement on how best to use the available time, considering all the constraints (need for money, shelter, personal fulfillment, etc.) for the greatest good of all involved.
too much time with one's child? i never hear that one before o!
i can spend 30 hrs per day with my child - life is too short and kids grow faster these days. before you know it, mini-me is all grown and already talking about going to college and you are there in regret thinking did i really utilise the time i had when this boy was a child?
Politics › Re: Mark Urges Senators To Fast For Super Eagles Victory by coogar: 5:42pm On Jan 31, 2013
nigerians are funny...
the ratio of the amount of time spent fasting/praying by nigerians AND the preparation is 95:5.
normally, humans are expected to do 95% of the job and then pray for divine favour to fill in the gap. the reverse is the case in nigeria. they do only 5% of what's required and pray for 95% divine help. when a nation becomes too over-religious, they lose a big chunk of their common sense with it.

Pls, indicate interest so that we can fix date on Val's day. grin
val's day?
that's tedious o - my spouse won't let me touch any gadget that day. the eve of valentine is okay!

but this debate sef - i could argue it either way but come on - is there a scarcity of women that those 2 must marry? it's a bit tacky
Family › Re: Being A Nigerian Housewife by coogar: 5:31pm On Jan 31, 2013
debosky: Sure I would. Does that equate to becoming a house husband or stopping work? How much time is 'more time'?
that's the point - no time is lost raising one's kids the proper way. there's no too much time! every minute spent with them is worth it.
if time/work is so important - why have the child in the first place? if the value of that child is priceless then logic dictates one of the parents should stay at home and raise that child like their hearts desire.
Family › Re: Your Thoughts On Cyber Bullies And Suicide. by coogar: 5:27pm On Jan 31, 2013

bigass: Yesterday I got a call from a friend of mine who lives in Abuja.she told me a friend of hers with her husband who came to Abuja for a wedding decided stay over in her selfcontained place on Saturday night till Sunday. Since she has just one bed she decided to sleep on the floor while the couple slept on the bed. At about 2 am she woke up to read all of a sudden she discovered the couple started kissing and smooching before long they were Unclad and started making love right infront of her with light on. She was shocked and said they did everything from Mouth Gig to canine with all the accompanied moaning. At a point she decided to leave the room for the toilet. She saw the husband joystick and the wife VJ This couple already have a kid o. Somepeople are just shameless. Why would a sane married man Be Intimate with his wife infront of her friend? I just said I should share this with my fellow Nairalanders. Smh
there's nothing wrong with what they did!
the host should have left the room for the guest cos she should have forseen something like this would happen. where is the privacy? if i am lending my bed to a couple then common sense dictates i vacate the room for them. they must have expected her to leave the room for them and when she continued sleeping, they did what they did to send her packing from the room. kudos to the couple - i salute their tactics!
