Monjaro: Looool, once again, I don laff tire, you guys are really funny....
In my opnion of my character, Victor, if she wanted to change me,
she could have done it in stages and introduced a different kind of fun.
There is no where in the bible that says what we do in bed is restricted.
She enjoyed it before, all of a sudden she stops and I am suppose to conform, FAO!
i concur,
mr victor was short-changed. no husband should have to cope with such a wife. she should have looked for an alternative means to keep you happy. abeg, what is the dancing style you did with those 2 girls beside your car called? mr victor, you are a baddddddt guy!

LOL, All in the fun of the discussion though....
(In my personal opinion, m character was just a freak, an over the top freak!!!) cheesy grin grin
especially when you take your whip to the office. did it have to get to that stage? i mean you would ask any chic to whip your bütt in the name of s&m? hahahahaha - you are the man! you played that role really well. thumbs up!

ileobatojo: Lol! It's all part of it now. After using all her years that she could have used to build something for herself/get form of education/develop a skill to be a full time housewife, how will she wake up one day and start balancing spreadsheets? When her grey cells have been exchanged for cobwebs due to inactivity, she's now left with the path of least resistance. (Likely being unscrupulous too doesn't help)
that story is rubbish jor....
even when the man died, no gratuity or pension? they had no savings at all to sustain the family or who is going to buy such bullshit? this is not nollywood - the woman should speak the truth what she's done with the money the husband left for her. who says a full housewife cannot run her business from home. if she has a mini-shop not far from home where she sells crates of coca-cola, she would get by easily.......if you believe that yeye story, i don't!

greatgod2012: @ coogar, in as much as you are making a lot of sense here, we all know how tedious, time-consuming and sacrificial parenthood, especially, motherhood is, that is why i always encourage wives to go for less-time consuming jobs...........that is what i did, instead of me staying at home completely without any personal source of income.
It wont be out of place for women to also be independent a little, it wont be bad if women arent part of d liabilities of d home, it wont be bad if both couple assist each other in their respective responsibilities, it wont be bad if iron sharpens iron, it wont be bad if when husband falls, d wife raises him up, it wont be bad if both of them rely on each other, instead of one continuosly relying on d other. As for me, dear, i love my hubby beyond that, i dont want loads of responsibilities to kill him early.
For those who are full housewives, its not a bad idea if your hubby can afford it and at d same time, it wont be bad either, if you have one business opened for you in your own name.........paradventure.........
May God help us all.
see, as long as the job a woman does is not affecting the time spent monitoring the kids then by all means do so. there are many stay-at-home-jobs women can engage in. once the kids are old enough to start school, she can then re-enter into employment with shorter hours. it's important she's at home shortly before/after school closes. children want the attention of their parents more than the money the parents chase aggressively just because they wan to keep up with the joneses. if care is not taken, that child would destroy the assets acquired via working round the clock!

ileobatojo: All the parental care you lacked during the hours you attended school (from age 3, I must add) and after school lessons and what not, did that make you a broken down member of society?
me ke?
i was a proper mummy's boy.....she had to stay with me for 2 weeks when i started school. i could not cope with her leaving me in the hands of strangers and some unruly rugrats screaming in my ears. after 2 weeks, i copped 2-3 playmates and she became free of my wahala. even with that, she picked me up from school immediately after school, fixed my lunch and ran through my homework with me. how can i place a price on that? who could have done that better than my mum?

the bounty hunters are not to make any physical contact with any illegal immigrant. like i have said, this is not america(a lawless country) where dog the bounty hunter chases people aggressively like a rabid mongrel.

ileobatojo: Oh stop being over dramatic. It's called work life balance. Working families have been doing it for years. Successfully.. If you have a child that you note needs more of your attention, then by all means, address that and do what you must, [/b]but I don't agree that all children need a parent around for 30 weekday hours a week to turn out right! [/b] Where are you getting this figure from abeg?
no wonder the society has broken down completely.....
look around you and see what today's kids are like. father is at work for 12hrs, mother is also at work for 14 hrs and the kids are with aunty caro and uncle okoro. there's no way the lack of attention and the lack of parental care won't tell on these kids no matter how normal they seem to appear. this is just common sense - 6 hrs per day(monday to friday) is not even enough when you break it down.

ileobatojo: shocked shocked So you would basically like to sterilize around 90% of family section nairalanders eh!! Okay o! grin grin
if that is what it would take then so be it.......
we take loads of stuff for granted in africa and when kids turn out weird, we blame familiar spirits and the market witch whereas there was little or no time for the parents to bond with their kids in their formative years. no amount of wages can replace the bonding time spent with kids when they are young - ignore that and the salary people chase aggressively would be spent on that kid when he becomes a menace to the neighbourhood.
Family › Re: Being A Nigerian Housewife by coogar: 9:13pm On Jan 28, 2013
ileobatojo: Impressed!!! Especially @ the bolded. There are those that simply, for whatever reason, cannot wrap their minds around the fact that both parties actually benefit from a woman that stays at home (as long as it is agreed on by both).
of course, there are many men who seem to think a woman who is not bringing in any income is lazy or a parasite but they forget raising kids is more than a 9-5 job. personally, i don't think anyone should have kids if they intend to push those kids to someone else to be raised when they are infants. if anyone cannot afford to put 30 hrs/ week(excluding weekends)to raise their kids then they should get a very effective contraception like vasectomy or the IUD string.

i doff my hat to all the full housewives out there who sacrificed their career to raise their kids!
Family › Re: Being A Nigerian Housewife by coogar: 8:47pm On Jan 28, 2013
dayokanu: The bold are Gospel truth. Being a housewife is pure laziness. What would one be doing at home from 7am till 4pm washing plates for how many people? Is it a restaurant? Sweeping for 8 hours? or what

Its pure laziness for anyone to do that.

And those kind of women would now claim they should have equal stake in the marriage when they were no better than the furniture just sitting down doing nothing
there's nothing wrong being a full housewife....
someone must take care of the kids - i wouldn't object if my spouse wants to be a stay-at-home mum. it would be for our collective benefit as long as my income can take the burden. i have more respect for a woman who is a good mother, a woman who makes her kids her priority over a selfish working woman!

All in all, I think the draw is favorable and for the first time in years, we stand a big chance of lifting the FA cup.
good point!
in short, excellent point.....
fergie would put his wife cathy to support mike phelan against oldham!
we have won the fa cup since 2004, it's almost a disgrace sef - 2007/8 and 2008/9 were the most painful of the lot when ferguson decided to rest rooney/ronaldo against everton at wembley and when we lost 0-1 to pompey at old trafford.

modicum: I came to UK in the 80s, went to Skinners school for girls in Stamford hill where I failed woefully. I come from a family that going abroad was like going to the market for us. I lived with my sister-in-law who I happened to have appeared to as a burden at the time. I had no one to take me out as a child, didn't enjoy McDonalds's treats, remember been bought KFC once by my mother's younger sister who was in UK at the time. Most days I had to walk from Pembury estate, Hackney to Stamford hill because I had no transport fee. An uncle got me free school meals from the government so I always had lunch at school but other meals hhhhmmm not guaranteed....

No one ever asked me how I was doing in school even thou I was a failure, never disclosed my report sheet because my results were always 'U- Unclassified' worse than F9. I lived at the expense of few of my brother's friends who were ready to give me £5 in exchange of me seating on their laps whilst they used my nipples as a toy. On few occasions my immediate families would give me £5, £10 but NONE EVER TOOK ME ON AS HIS OR HER RESPONSIBILITY. One glorious day, a brother of mine took me on when he noticed that I have been associating with friends that were smoking and sexing at the age of 12,13.14,15 but due to malicious beating everyday I had no choice other than to run away from his house. ....

I became streetwise, smoking heavily at the age of 11/12, did my first abortion at the age of 14/15. I was unable to contact my mother because I had no access to telephone moreover i didn't know how to use the phones then. I lived with a Jamaican friend who was few years older than me and we had a man friend aged 50t whom was impotent but would pay our rent whenever we allowed him to lick/suck us. Hhhhmmmm I'm sobbing as I'm writing this; I don't know why my spirit has led me to share this horrific and pathetic story on www but I am sure it is to bless someone outthere so I am not ashamed of letting it out because someone outthere will think twice before making the mistake my family made.

Myself and friends began to find it easy to be befriending men for money at night clubs (Golivers, Petter Stringfellows etc) at that very young age in which I found disgusting but was never slept with but they molested my body orally. I can't even carry on expressing my bitter past experiences because I have learnt to see them as my strengths that made me who I am today....

The koko of this post is this.... Now in UK we see Nigerian children killing, shooting, stabbing, selling drugs, raping etc and we wonder why they are ridiculing our darling country's name.... Hhhhmmmm it is not the kids fault it is the fault of the parents that weren't ready to prioritise their priorities. I can't blame my mother and neither can I blame my father because they don't like to get involved in the way our brothers and sisters were bringing us up. They believed when you give a goat to someone, you let go of the rope, least do they knew that their darling daughter had become something else..... You may be boosting that your child lives in London, America etc but do you ever ask yourself how life is treating them where they arehuh

So many parents in Nigeria believe the field is greener on the other side forgetting that NO ONE CAN TRAIN YOUR KIDS THE WAY YOU CAN EXCEPT LOVING & GOD FEARING PEOPLE. In UK so many Nigerian parents have misplaced their priorities, they rather work 24/7, make all monies to build mansions in Nigeria at the expense of their children's lives. So many Nigerian parents in UK don't even attend parents's evening at their kids school, some can't even help their kids with homework. Some belief their kids are at home and they are safe not knowing who is there with them. Some would rather spoil their kids with money & expensive outfits instead of investing quality time in them.

Sending your kids abroad to be looked after by someone else is a pure waste of time and bringing your own kids from 9ja without giving them all the time needed is an irresponsible move and to be working all God sent hours, making sterling, dollars, euro, naira etc without spending quality time with your kids is a disgrace to parenthood. This is one of our bad irresponsible cultures, most children in Nigeria were brought up by housemaids/gateman/next door/grandmother/ neighbour etc. Nigerians don't believe in family planning rather they will have so many children and start using them to hawk sweets, bread etc after school...

Having a child is not by force, God did not say YOU MUST HAVE CHILDREN, YES HE STATED 'MULTIPLY' but he didn't mean we should do it to suffer them. Having children does not mean you will live your life joyfully and it doesn't give you a place in heaven either, instead your children may make you to miss heaven if care is not taken.

I am a product of a neglected, nonchalant, cultural upbringing and I WILL NEVER WISH IT ON MY GREATEST ENEMY BECAUSE I HAD IT ROUGH AND IN SADNESS. Let us stop being selfish for ones and stop pushing our problems/burdens on others. Your child should be with you no matter how poor or rich you are and you must teach them in the ways of God, NOT YOUR OWN STANDARDS....

Some parents in Nigeria don't mind if their children are sleeping with big men for money, it is saddddddd

the amnesty would be for asylum seekers who have had their cases for up to 4-7 yrs at the home office without a decision. how many nigerians would benefit from this one? very few. this is majorly for the citizens of war-torn countries!

Symphony007: Looking critically i don't see this working. It must be an idea being thrown around by back bench tory mp's. David cameron will never do anything that will make his loose tory voters to ukip. Ukip is promising a total freeze on immigration, both legal and illegal and it's really resonating among tories. If david cameron does this, he has thrown away the 2014 general elections.
it's not a question of working or not working.
uk border force are stretched beyond limits with the staggering number of unsolved cases in their archives. they want to clear up that archive and that means applicants who meet their criteria would be granted an automatic amnesty! they cannot continue to keep files of documents for so long without dealing with it.

Why are you asking? I thought you know it all. Having a particular type of player on the pitch doesn't mean that it dictates the formation. When he played Messi as a false 9, was Messi normally known as a striker?

You can't deny the fact he played the formation or can you deny that he played over 7 formations through out his career. Why make a statement like he stuck with his 3-4-3 formation when you are not sure.

By the way, I thought you said Cleverly is better than Javi Garcia (the genius from Benfica) grin grin grin grin grin. Don't worry. Let time keep rolling. wink

Guardiola fan who studies Guardiola more than Ferguson. Yet he thinks direct football is the best strategy and 4-4-2 is the most attacking formation.

I throw way salute. grin
direct football is the best strategy.....
you need artists/technicians to work with tiki-taka. in the english league, no team can survive with tiki-taka......we all saw how chelsea always proved to be so difficult for barcelona's tiki-taka. if they are both in the same league chasing a title, barcelona would drop points!

javi garcia is a super plank - i don't even reckon with him!
who does he scare? tom cleverley was just breezing past him like he wasn't there......he's inert - zero movement when defending. agile and nimble players are the antidote of players like garcia. i hope he plays in the next manchester derby.

Now you know more than the person analyzing the match. Please Mr I too know. There is nothing you can say to change the fact that he played the formation. You didn't speak about it. You tried to paint it as if he didn't try the formation in that game.
Didn't you here about the match Anderson destroyed Fabregas? Does that make Anderson better than Fabregas?
cleverley has faced only toure twice and he destroyed him twice. anderson/cesc was in a one-off game and the game wasn't even a do or die affair like the manchester derby where city was desperate to win. the dude analysing the match even said it could be interpreted as 3-4-3 which i am sure it's the correct formation!

yes, i spoke about it here....you even quoted it but you are too blind to read!

i followed guardiola at barca - he stuck to 4-3-3 for a long time and then experimented with 3-4-3. the only time he played the 3-4-3(diamond) formation was against milan - that had a semblance of 3-3-4 but fabregas is an attacking midfielder in that game operating at the tip of the other 3 midfielders. the formation did not work as barca nearly lost and guardiola never repeated the formation again till he resigned!

just because you passed out from university of ibadan would not make you as gifted as wole soyinka. george best/bobby charlton went to the same united academy that graduated o'shea and kieran richardson.

By the way, I didn't say every body that grew up must be a great player. You just keep on making things up.
Man don't worry let us see how things go. Cleverly better than Javi Garcia. I have heard it all.
so what are you insinuating when you threw in the madrid academy angle? why didn't he make it at madrid especially when he's from spain? he didn't make it because he's not good enough - simple! go and watch the manchester derby again(the community shield) and the last one at the etihad and watch how cleverley destroyed yaya toure in the midfield!

FAKE GUARDIOLA FAN. cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy grin grin grin grin grin
why are you bringing up an example i already spoke about......
it was still 3-4-3......guardiola had cesc at the tip of the 3-man midfield - cesc is not a striker, he's an attacking midfielder so formation was still 3-4-3 or at best 3-3-1-3 cos cesc operated in the hole!

from the same article.....

The real interest here was Barcelona’s shape. Dani Alves was pushed up even higher than in the first leg, with (at first) no responsibility to get back into the right-back zone. He and Cuenca played on roughly the same horizontal line, with Fabregas in a free role and Lionel Messi as a false nine. It could be interpreted as a 3-4-3 with a diamond midfield, with Fabregas at the front tip, but he and Messi were often together, playing as a partnership and dovetailing – therefore, the unusual 3-3-4 notation makes sense here.

coded guy: Abi na conspiracy!!! Although all those championship sides have been proving stubborn to prem teams, liverpool just bit the dust.

But reading sha those guys seem to be hard nuts to crack on their day, they have this irritating uncoordinated but effective way of playing which makes it difficult for prem clubs to neutralize.

Anyways we have Van pepper
grin grin
it has to be a conspiracy......
if you compare our fa cup fixtures to chelsea - you would marvel at the level of opposition we have faced in comparison to chelsea in the last 6-7 seasons.
summarising chelsea's fa cup draws since 2005/6 before semifinal:

20 were drawn at stamford bridge....
20 were against non-premier league teams
only 3 away games against premier league opposition before a neutral venue.

i don't believe 3 away games against a premier league side in 28 draws is coincidence...it's a conspiracy, no wonder they never fail to win the competition! in that time frame, united have played man city, liverpool, tottenham, arsenal, fulham, etc

joeyfire: Don't get it twisted, ekwueme did not lose to obasanjo in a general election, he lost in the PDP primary elections. He lost because ekwueme was an igbo man and the northern military class wanted someone to cover their azzes with someone dirty that they could trust. Obj handed over to GEJ indirectly and because he was weak and was someone he could trust and the return of democracy to this country became compromised and has descended to the shyte we see today
how did obasanjo hand the baton to jonathan? he left it for yaradua - obasanjo isn't God, how could he have known yaradua would kick the bucket when he did?

Andre Uweh: Forget the moaning, Ndigbo in Nigeria only wants equity, justice fairness etc. If any administration can provide Ndigbo with their wishes, that administration will be supported any time any day. Having an Igbo man as president may even benefit other ethnic groups more than Ndigbo. So what's the point.
I can remember clearly that when Chukwuma Soludo was gov of central bank, all his appointments were to Yorubas, Hausas etc to the detriment of his people.
Even after the overthrow of the civilian regime in 1966. Two Igbo leaders emerged. One in the north led by Nzeogwu. The other in the south led by Ironsi. But guess what, they both sorrounded themselves with non Igbo people. My point here is that if we have an Igbo president today, he will tend to placate Hausas and Yorubas.
What I personally want is someone who will benefit Ndigbo irrespective of ethnicity.
i don't give a flying fück where the next president comes from......
they are all the same - i don't think any region can provide the messiah that would put a stop to the rot and corruption in nigeria - the messiah would not be allowed to win by the kingmakers - they would only throw their support to a fellow rogue!
