skelemba: The reason for my saying they have never traveled out is because they pay so much only because they want their child to Speak Queens english (phonetics)
. Meanwhile they are being thought by nigerians in the school they are in. Thus if u want ur child to speak phonetics and that's ur major reason paying through your neck then why don't u send them abroad. I am not saying they must travel out before u spend such an amount on school fees. And yes the child is way too young to even appreciate what u r doing.
it would cost them more abroad - duh!
i quite understand why any parent would want their child to attend a good school. it's not always about the cost - it's the network of classmates/school mates. 90% of my buddies are the people i attended primary school with!

RuuDie: If he is indeed a maverick as you claim and very vital to UTD, perhaps we would keep him on the field more. Injuries aside, this stat potentially only shows how highly AW rates Walcott and how AF, on the other hand is gradually losing faith in your maverick!
he has a direct rival in valencia and ashley young!!! his number of appearances would be less than theo walcott who has no competition @ arsenal....get some perspective!

Here you go again with your "Ikpeba" type of analysis. . .Even the hattrick hero confirmed that Scholesy was the catalyst of change in that game!
except that it was nani that created 2 golden chances for van persie - the penalty incident and the 3rd goal! perhaps van persie was a bit amnesiac or he has a man-crush on scholesy!

Then he must be incredibly short!
.............or you need specsavers!

RuuDie: Errrm. Before you begin to conclude, have you taken into account the fact that some of those minutes were spent at right-back!?
true...but even before we started playing him there, he's never had a better stats than nani! leighton baines play as a full back and his stat is outstanding!

The crux of the matter is not comparing Nani v. Valencia - the main thing is, we I personally feel he hasn't done enough, or as much as his talent suggests he can do. . .the same Walcott we are bashing here got 8 goals and 11 assists last season, yet he is nowhere near as skillful, pacy or even strong as NaniThe Maverick (who happens to fall like a bazooka'ed antelope anytime he is touched another very annoying feature of his game).
walcott had more minutes on the pitch to generate that!
theo walcott - 8 goals + 11 assists in 2728 league mins
luiz nani - 8 goals + 12 assists in 2104 league mins.

as you can see walcott played 624 mins more = 7 full matches more! this is another evidence that nani has no equal in the league. walcott had an outstanding season but even his best still falls short of nani with extra 7 games under walcott's belt!

StarBoard: Walcott is being slaughtered on the Arsenal thread, yet his goal tally is only 2 short of what Nani had last season in all competitions.
How this argument degenrated into where we are into today is beyond me. All I've been saying is that Nani is over-hyped and not worthy of a 130k a week contract based on his performances.
walcott played 7 league games more and he still fell short of nani - whoaaaaaaaa!!!!

Revisionist history.
You can now say that to suit your argument, but I believe strongly that when he scored those 42 goals, you were proclaiming him the best player in the world not minding the penalties. Yet you think he's better than Messi as well.
he was the best player in the world that season - penalties or no penalties! when messi won the award too, messi scored plenty of penalties and freekicks!

No doubt the figures he posts now are impressive but clearly not good enough. . .like I said about last season, Rooney aside, we always had to look up to Valencia, The Council of Elders (scholes and Giggs) or the high heavens for some "spark". This season, it is looking like RvP (and some thought it wasn't a necessary buy-smh). . .
nani is our most explosive player - when it went pear-shaped on sunday, nani was the maverick brought in to change the game!

Will the "real"Maverick please stand up!!?
in waffi parlance, e dey fall we hand die!
nani has been standing up ever since ronaldo left!

debosky: I never said the wage bill difference was £35m, I said if it was £35m.
you need blood tonic, debo!

In 2010/11, the difference was £29m (3 Ronaldos), in 2009/10 it was £21m (2+ Ronaldos), in 2008/09 it was £19m (2 Ronaldos).
what was the wage bill in 07/08? the last time arsenal made a meaningful challenge to win the league title? it was £3m. that was the man utd squad that won the european double minus louis saha! arsenal had a very strong squad then that they could have kept with few additions - but what happened? your gaffer took the team apart by selling and making profit on player transfer!

Do the words Chelsea or building-a-stadium-with-reduced-funds-for-transfer mean anything to you? Even in that period, we could have won the CL final if not for the sending off of Lehmann.
leave the champions league out of it - many of the teams you are competing with had vast amount of money to spend on quality players! i don't expect arsenal to win in europe cos it's harder to win. chelsea with their bottomless wealth waited 9yrs to win it so let's concentrate on the domestic titles where only united and chelsea were your rivals.
The fact is, we CANNOT remunerate players with an extra £20m every season the way United do - why? Because our turnover is smaller.
turnover is smaller? the players you sold @ a profit, did your manager reinvest the proceeds or kept it for himself and the members of the board? wenger was earning £2m more than fergie per annum with nothing to show for it.

arsenal fc is like a typical naija church with a rogue pastor(wenger/the board)! he(wenger) cajoles church members(fans) to pay tithes(season tickets) and receive miracles(titles)....only for the board to eat the revenue and deliver nothing at the end of the season!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar:
StarBoard: And tell me which of those stretch the width of the play like traditional wingers.
Tell me if all the above don't drift inwards into scoring positions?
because they all have goal-scoring prowess!!! the reasons why valencia can't do that often is because one of his feet is useless. nani is an inverted winger/traditional winger - same as many of the wingers on that list! nani drifts inwards more than valencia!

No Ronaldo is a coach.
ronaldo is a winger......

So what does Ronaldo's insane goal record since 2007/8 tell you about his position?
How many of the listed "wingers" have anything near his goal tally, even in a wet-dream?
Roaming my a$$.We're asking what he does for Real Madrid lately.
insane goal record is as a result of freekicks, penalties and the willingness of rooney and tevez to drift to the flanks and allow ronaldo take their postions. was ronaldo not stationed with essien(right back) against chelsea in moscow? the selflessness and the versatility of rooney/tevez allowed ronaldo such record of 42 in a season. if he had berbatov and chicharito as team mates then, it wouldn't have happened!

I wonder then why the issue of stats is so big a deal if you can't take the above as key components.
nani takes freekicks - he attempts shots from everywhere on the pitch because of his wide range of shooting! of course, he would have plenty of shots off target!

Nani had 30 shots off-target compared to Valencia who had only 9 last season.Judging from that stat for example, would you say Nani wa more productive than Valencia?
its a disgrace to valencia that nani with less minutes on the pitch was more direct than valencia. majority of those off target shots are from set pieces! valencia plays it safe or runs with the ball to the flanks to deliver a cross. nani pulls the trigger from any range - check out his goal against chelsea----valencia wouldn't have attempted such!

The way I see it,stats make you believe what you want.Ryan Giggs is a perfect example.
the most relevant stats for a winger is his goals/assists - pass completion, shot conversion, etc are not important! nani had less minutes on the pitch and still outperformed valencia!

StarBoard: For the umpteenth time, wingers are going out of style.
wingers are not going out of style - stop blaspheming! ronaldo is a winger - ribery, robben, pedro, nani, valencia, young, di maria are all wingers - they are not dead yet!!

You're still talking for the sake of it.
Last I checked, Ronaldo stopped being a winger like 4 years ago.
so what is ronaldo now? a defender! ronaldo is still a winger but has a free role to roam.....technically, he's still a winger!

Obviously, Nani has played more games at United than Nani, yet with the stats in the link provided,Nani's pass completion, crossing accuracy, shooting accuracy, loss of possession, shooting accuracy and chance conversion (key components) are inferior to Valencia's.
shooting accuracy is a key component? pass completion for a winger is a key component? so what are goals and assists if pass completion/shooting accuracy are key components? you are clutching at straws! from the stats you provided, nani even defends better than valencia - he scores more than him and creates more goals than him. productivity = goals + assists otherwise leon britton is better than xavi/iniesta and denilson is better than fabregas!

Henriquez Becomes A Red
Manchester United is pleased to announce the signing of 18-year-old Angelo Henriquez.

The Chile under-23 striker joins United from Universidad de Chile for an undisclosed fee.
Sir Alex Ferguson is delighted with the news and told ManUtd.com: “Angelo has made a tremendous impact on the game in his short career so far. His pace is a great asset and he reads the game really well for someone of such a young age.

"We have a proud record of developing young talent and Angelo fits the profile of a United player – skilful, attacking and someone who plays the game with real flair.”
Henriquez himself is equally excited at the prospect of pulling on the red shirt: “I am thrilled to be joining the biggest club in the world. Manchester United is a great team and has a great manager.

"To be able to be part of that is a huge honour and I can’t wait to get started. I hope I can be part of many successful years with United.”
Henriquez's squad number for the 2012/13 campaign will be no.21.

The version is 3.1.2 (7D11)

Thanks.
i think you need a software update - 3.1.2 is obsolete. you need the 4.2 or 4.2.1 update but the snag is not knowing for sure if your phone is jailbroken or not. if it is, only phone gurus can help you do it. if it is not, just connect to a laptop and do a software update with iTunes which is quite easy to do. i suggest you take it to someone who knows a bit about iPhone to find out if the phone is jailbroken or not. if you do the iTunes update on a jailbroken phone, the phone would be bricked completely!!!

debosky: This is poppycock - if the wage bill difference is £35m - that is the equivalent of 3 Rooneys or 3 Ronaldos being paid £250k, or 6 Nasris being paid £120k.
debosky, the wage bill difference is not £35m - don't pluck out stats from your rectum to sound relevant! even when the difference was £3m in 2009, united were winning back to back titles and appearing in the finals of the champions league!!!

Tell me what percentage of Utd's wage bill is winning bonus and don't make any silly reductions to support your weak argument. Who told you that Arsenal's contracts don't have bonuses for CL qualification/top 4 finish?
as much as that of united who have won 4 league titles in the past 6 seasons and have appeared 3 times in the final of elite europe? debosky, you are a goat!!

Besides, United is not the only club in existence - Citeh and Chelski are also spending ridiculous amounts on wages as well, which DIRECTLY weaken Arsenal's squad as reflected by the number of ex Arsenal players at Citeh - Clichy, Nasri, Adebayor (recently left) and Kolo Toure. That is nearly half a first team side there.
if the arsenal players were well renumerated, they wouldn't need to go elsewhere to collect more money. you make it sound like city have always had money to spend. they didn't start spending ridiculous money until january 2010. they missed the entire transfer window in the summer of 2009 cos the takeover of the abu dhabi was on the last day and they could only sign robinho! where were arsenal between 2005-2009?

MRbrownJAY: here is a clue that all you IPHONE users probably already know: when you receive a text, the phone will beep (or whatever), and any "normal" person would AUTOMATICALLY take a glance towards where that beeping came from....its a normal instinct.........and guess what? part of that damn message would be clearly visible on your phone. so even if one person doesnt give a damn about your messages, they could still unknowingly read part of it.
how could you therefore blame them for that?!
i use an iPhone and that feature is optional! when i receive a message, i only get the notification, the message is hidden from prying eyes!
