I only know about Trier and it is a beautiful little city but is a bit expensive because of its proximity to Luxembourg. Alot of people that work in Luxembourg live in Trier, so things are mostly expensive because of them. However, it is not outrageously expensive for students.

It depends on the school/programme. Some will accept online upload. Some will require that you mail physical legally attested copies to Germany.

Go through the programme pages of your desired programmes to know their specific requirements.

I ask because out of the 3 applications i made, They only forwarded 1 and claimed that for the other ones, that i did not show evidence of German language Proficience for them. Meanwhile these a courses the school clearly says will be delivered in English.

It is difficult to determine your chances without additional information. It depends on how competitive your chosen school and programme are. You may meet basic requirements, but if there are better qualified candidates and spaces are limited, admission may be denied.

If Uni-assist rejected 2 of your applications because of German proficiency, then it means those programmes require German language proficiency. You probably didn't check the requirements well. But to be sure just email the schools and get confirmed information on the language requirements of your chosen programmes.

Yes, there are Nigerian 2:1 grades that fall into 1st class on the German scale. However, to the best of my knowledge, what the embassy means is Nigerian 1st class.

If you go to a good photographer and tell them you want to use it for visa application at the German embassy, they'll know what to do. Veteran photographers know the specifications for each embassy.

I agree that the pressure is probably part of it. I mean, she lost 4 grand slam finals almost back to back. But the last time she got to a grand slam final was 2019. Her movement and stamina have obviously suffered with age, which is natural.

For a sportsman playing an intensely physical sport even 35 is old. You simply cannot have the stamina of your younger self. What the older guys have is experience. Tennis relies a lot on muscle memory. You just get to a level when your shots are almost automatic. Even Serena admitted that it's thanks to sports technology and better nutrition that players can play well into their 30s these days.

The record for oldest grand slam win was at age 37. And that was in 1972! I still root for Serena to equal and perhaps surpass that record she's chasing, but I must admit the chances get slimmer as the days go by.

Novak will definitely break Federer's record. He's just 34 and is good on all surfaces, so he still has a few slams left in him.

I could still remember when Djokovic started, he said he doesn't have d strength to stay longer on d court. I think to stay longer on a grand slam for over 4 hours should favour d younger generation, but they can't still beat d older guys in slam.
Djokovic is just better than Federer on a grand slam stage now nd d last time Federer defeated Djokovic in a grand slam was in 2017 or so.

Age may not be much of an issue when you're 32. But when you're 40, it is something. Look at Serena.

Having said that, Novak is a great player. Even if all three of them were the same age, he would still win grand slams.

Hello guys....Got an AD this evening for Wednesday after waiting for more than 6 month and I am currently not in Lagos, I am currently off shore at the moment ....sorted for all means to leave where I am .....but all transport means are fully booked both air and water....I have till tomorrow to sort things out......should I cancel the date.......pls what is the possibility of getting another date soon if I cancel this.....

I don't think you can go on another date. Just call the embassy ASAP. Perhaps they can reschedule. Ensure you tell them you are a CAT A applicant.

How did it take you 6 months to get an Ad for Cat A?
Cat A applicants typically get AD within weeks

Well, It would be the same as those that pay semester fees for free tuition. You have to pay to be an enrolled student. What is required on the checklist is an updated enrollment certificate. Meaning if you are in your 3rd semester you should have three enrolment certificate respectively.

This is the requirement you're quoting. You'll notice the 'if applicable' clause.

Going by logic, enrolment confirmation should only be applicable if you have an old admission letter and have commenced your studies online in a previous semester.

TJ10 I see no reason why the embassy will require you to pay tuition before obtaining your visa. It simply makes no sense. The same embassy advises against booking a flight before visa is granted.

I'm assuming you're concerned about the application fee and the cost of sending your documents to Germany.

University of Bielefeld

University of hildesheim.

Uni of Mannheim: no uni assist but there is a tuition fee of about 1500 euros if you are admitted.

University of Potsdam uses uni-assist but you won't pay any application fee. You also won't have to mail physical copies of your docs to Germany.

Deggendorf does not use uni-assist but depending on your programme you may have to take an online aptitude test that costs about 50euros.


You may also check out Dresden and Bayreuth. I don't know if you will be required to send physical documents.

I thought as much. It seems 'portfolio' refers to a collection of your previous projects relating to digital media. You may email the programme coordinator to get clarification.

Generally speaking, German schools expect your bachelor's to be related to your intended master's.
Secondly, do you have any significant experience in digital media? (There's no guarantee that this will be accepted in lieu of a related BSc though).

I advise you go through the programme website very well and be clear on every single requirement before you apply (especially if the application will cost you money).
Also, they would typically specify the minimum GPA requirement. Convert your GPA to the German grading system and see if it is sufficient.

Frankly, I think your best option is to apply for programmes that are related to your bachelor's, if you intend to study for MSc in Germany. The alternative would be to go for a second bachelor's. If you chose the bachelor's option, from what I've read on this thread, it will be hard to convince the VO that you are really going for studies, and not just desperate to enter Germany by any means necessary. It will be harder if you are not young.

This is what I deduce from the email screenshot you posted:

They want you provide proof that English level C1 (minimum) was a requirement for your previous study.

A diploma supplement is a document that shows details of the courses on your transcript (i.e topics covered grading system, admission/degree requirements etc.). This info is typically found in your faculty/department handbook.

English O'levels is a requirement for most (if not all) undergraduate programmes in Nigeria. I expect that your handbook should show WAEC/Neco English as an admission requirement. Hopefully, the minimum waec/neco requirement as stated in your handbook is equivalent to CEFR level C1.

If you're trying to hedge against devaluation, then you should buy euros and keep in a domiciliary account. Problem solved.

The visa officer knows the admission requirements for each level of study. There is nothing to hide.

Considering that you need your 100L BSc transcript in order to apply for BSc in Germany, I don't think it is possible to hide your student status. And I can't think of any benefit of hiding it.

The only thing you want to have an explanation for is why you're switching from pharmacy to industrial chemistry. That shouldn't be hard to justify.
