chinjo:That's incorrect. The fund belongs to Nigeria. To the international community, Delta state is only a state in Nigeria. It is nation to nation relations. What form of contribution or efforts did Delta state make in the prosecution or repatriation of the looted funds? Where was / were the State House of Assembly, Civil Society Groups, Concerned Deltans etc, when Ibori was on a looting spree? The money belongs to Nigeria, and as such the president has the prerogative of discretion as to its usage. As at today in Delta state, every leader in the state still bows to Ibori, and most of them are his criminals cohorts. Come to Delta state and see how they still adore him...Okowa remains loyal to him till date, and won't blink an eyelid in handing over the funds to him, when repatriated. This is the first time we are seeing repatriated looted funds being genuinely deployed into infrastructural projects, and it is very commendable. |
DontSuckToto:You dey mind the foolish Oghara Development Union? They should be ashamed of themselves for attempting to justify Ibori's inordinate financial dealings while in government. Ibori did very badly in government. So did / do many governors, past and present. Accountability is zero. They were / are annoyingly corrupt, insensitive, unintelligent, bereft, wasteful and grossly incompetent. Inflated and bloated contracts, shabbily executed projects, needless and abandoned projects everywhere..... Ibori ran government fraudulently, as he ran his fraudulent private businesses. He, Orji Kalu and co, only succeeded in putting the youths in bad light when it comes to entrusting them with leadership.... |
Vickym1:Exactly! Insolence...that is the stock in trade of your kind, with abysmal sense of reasoning and from dysfunctional family background. |
Vickym1:You must be kidding. The president should address you after publicly taking a vaccine to douse rumours about the vaccine being dangerous to humans. What are Garba Shehu and Femi Adesina's jobs? Go and hug a transformer as Buhari will not address you anytime soon. Nonsense! |
MejiLoyon:Educated illiterate! |
thebosstrevor1:Nothing wey Buhari fit do to please dem.... |
theFilmtric:Hmmmmm. Buhari better pass the youths o. Which youths sef? Are you referring to the vast bunch that so much love the good life but hate to work? Na dem get kidnapping, internet fraud, armed robbery, drugs, alcoholic drinks, ashawo etc. |
JidennaJason:Yeye talk! A man that frettered away Nigeria's precious resources with little or nothing to show in terms of infrastructure and the economy, during a period that crude sold for over $120 per barrel..... Did you also mention Ibori? You seem to have a thing for wasteful, corrupt and irresponsible characters. |
erico2k2:Reprisal attacks that cost lives isn't insecurity abi? Your mind must have been kidnapped. |
plaindealer:The guy is terribly shallow in his reasoning. I don't know what is difficult in understanding that insecurity is a national, continental and global challenge. He keeps making it appear as a regional / sectional issue. North this, North that.... |
erico2k2:You must be dumb! Why am I even wasting my time with a fellow who can barely construct a correct sentence in English language? 1. 'I think you was fed cow poo when you was a baby'. 2. bla bla 'in the history of Nigeria has children been kidnap' Oga, I put it to you that you are a stark and irredeemable illiterate. You talk of kidnap of school children as worse form of insecurity in Nigeria, what would you say about kidnap and murder incidences of Reverend fathers in the SE? Have you forgotten about the Ozubulu Church and New year eve killings in Anambra and Rivers states? What about the several corpses found in a river in Anambra? Abeg, go sort out the insecurity of your poor grammar first. |
erico2k2:You see... If you were smart you would understand what I wrote. If security up North was as you say it is...why aren't Southerners leaving the North in droves? There is so much insecurity up North yet nearly all the food items consumed by Southerners come from the same North on daily basis.... I really do not understand how you guys rationalize things. Isn't there insecurity in the South or elsewhere? Why make it appear as though it is only in the North that there is insecurity? |
edoairways:Are you referring to the bunch of uneducated wannabes on social media? Do they comment with facts? The same people that foresaw Saraki as president when he couldn't even secure his party's candidacy. The same people who won for Atiku on the INEC server...please, don't amuse me. In case you do not know, a large proportion of persons who make comments on social media, do so for sensationalism, and are mostly bereft. They are bigots, emotional, uneducated, partisan, and generally unintelligent. As at the 2015, the Jonathan administration owed road contractors to the tune of 3 - 4 trillion. https://nigeriancurrent.com/2015/07/27/fg-to-probe-n4tr-contractor-debt-owed-by-jonathans-govt/ This led to layoff of thousands of construction workers across the country and abandonment of various construction sites in the country. Should I tell you what Buhari did to get contractors back to the sites? Go and find out how fund for April 2015 federal civil service salaries were sourced? |
erico2k2:See talk...mtchewww. And people haven't be leaving the North in droves.... Do you know how much of Southern investments are in the North? Make we hear word abeg. |
Nels55:Buhari is not a bigot. You don't just wake up and use words that you hardly know their meanings. |

You. |
edoairways:For you na. Not for millions of others. Even regarding insecurity, this adminstration is still much better. Where were you when Boko Haram was almost taking over Abuja, with attacks on the Police Headquarters, UN Building, Banex Plaza etc? |
Gbagura:Keep quite joor! Was neither of Jonathan and Sambo intelligent? It takes a smart person to work with another. Buhari may not be as eloquent as Osinbajo, but he is not any less intelligent. You cannot convince anyone that his work with Idiagbon was by fluke. Your comment reeks of ethnic bigotry. |
plaindealer:People still do not appreciate that, despite the setbacks of insecurity, this remains one of Nigeria's best administrations. There are local solar panel manufacturers in Nigeria. Perhaps a few of them. |
Enoch07:Because he has the time for that. He can never rule Nigeria though. |
Arewa1stSon:Wallowing in mediocrity.... no be small mediocrity o, especially in the South south and South east. They are just all noise, wasteful and lack any sense of priority and purpose. So much disconnect between them and the people they govern. Always executing bloated projects without real impacts on their people. Zero interest and understanding of the need to invest in human capital. Only empowering thugs, social misfits and nonentities as SSAs, SAs etc. There is nothing like having a governor with an intellectually sound mind, tenacious focus and impeccable self discipline. There is no doubt that Zulum is an amazing governor. Borno will certainly rise again and above its peers, from what we are seeing. |
Monogamy:Na craze dey worry dem na... You nor know? |
PrinceOfLagos:Akuko! Abeg, make we hear word. Ipob apologist! |
PrinceOfLagos:Keep quiet! With your yeye proverbs wey nor make any sense. Can you show proofs of soldiers killing innocent people in Imo? |
IamWonderful:Why won't he? No right thinking governor will fold his arms in a period of insecurity and threats to his people. |
franktech:Akuko na egwu! E be like say the abacha wey you chop get too much akanwu inside. |
BusinessCity:You don't have to be. These Ipob guys have really been messing around lately. |
gentlestdude:I don't blame you. You just finished eating bole and fish without having to scamper as a result of deafening sounds from gunshots, grenades and ballistic missiles. Oga, gather your family and village people and shock the government. You don't need everybody in your region or ethnic group to gather before you can shock the government. |
LMS1:You get mama? If you get mama you nor go disrespect Buhari, who is by far your elder. There is a distinction between stating your disagreement with the president and insulting him. No son that has, and knows his father would do that. Idiot! Who cares whether you respond again or not. You insult people but do not want to be insulted. |
LMS1:Fool! You don't even know that she was the nominee of the Nigerian government, which is headed by Buhari. No be Buhari put her, na your father put her. I sure say na your papa also put the first female Nigerian ambassador to the United States there. |
LMS1:I guess Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is from the North too... Nonsense! |
