Onlytruth: Actually, in TWO of the three times (1994, 2013) we've won the nations cup, the majority of the players were Igbo.Don't the village fellow, even the first cup in 1980 majority are the Igbos. i can name many of them and let him name his tribesemn. They are the people that started this rubbish by saying that Keshi will loose with his Super Eagles of Biafra, i am not here to boast of the population of the teams members but to show them how hypocritical they are as a tribe. When something is going wrong they hide and look for who to blame , but it turns out good they will change. That is why Hausa people call them Berebes while Ivoriens call them Anangos, meaning people you can never trust, the unstable people. If this tournament turned out unsuccessful you would have heard so many trash and nasty bashing names on the players and their tribe today. kofoshi: Ok, we hear you.Soviet Union won the first European Nations Cup in 1960 in Italy, and 1977 first Coca-Cola U-21 world cup in Tunisia, 1987 U-17 world cup in Canada, but did it stop them from peaceful separation in 1991? Before this Nation Cup which every Nigerian is happy with the success today, many Yorubas on this nairaland accused Stephen Keshi of going to RSA with only Igbo players, some called them many names including Super Eagles of Biafra, some called them Super Chickens of Biafra, but today they are being celebrated by the same hypocrites. I don't care where the won victories will be, all what i am saying is that yorubas should watch their tongues when matters that concern the Igbos are raised up because they themselves have not arrived , they are not united too, and don't speak with one voice as they always claim. At least i watched what happened in 1983 elections in many parts of the yoruba states. The yorubas lost so many lives due to the political violence in Ondo, Oyo and Ogun states, including the first treason felony in the Western Region in 1963 which caused the first state of emergency declared in Nigeria then. where is their togetherness/unity? the love? and respect?which they always claim. that you prostrate to your elder, but later hold him by waist does never show any sign of respect. Many countries that are not up to a local government in Nigeria have won many sports laurels , it doesn't take to be billions in population to be world champion. If these people can win this AFCON other determined team can do it also. You guy should remove the logs of woods in your eyes , before you talk of the dusts in other tribe's eyes. Your hatred to the Igbo can never stop their progresses. Take it or leave it. Today we are United by a victory achieved by almost a section of people, who were condemned before the competition. I am not in support of the killing of the man, but in order way parents and family members must be very careful and watchful over their children and siblings, sometimes these bad eggs bring miseries to their innocent families. Some families also support evil; some even encourage their children and siblings to be criminals as long as they bring in ill gotten wealth. Recently a friend of mine who traveled home to our village told me how two boys on a motorbike snatched his wife’s hand bag that contained 40,000,Naira in our neighboring village, in a broad day light not knowing that his wife recognized the rider of the bike. When he went to the family of the thief it happened to be the family of the traditional ruler of the village. Before they could say a word this His Highness just appeared from nowhere and was defending the thief by asking them irrelevant questions, his wife was pointing straight to the guy, thief’s mother also came out and started defending her son too, later the Highness asked them to go and return back in 2 days, when they went back the highness told them that he had asked the thief that he said he was not the one. On their way going back many villagers stopped on the way and told them that, it is the way of the ruling family that they themselves are just targeting the family. Recently as God may have his ways, the young man snatched an army colonel wife’s hand bag last December when she came back on holidays, this colonel is from another village which their youth can destroy a state when given the chance. The thief was chased by the village youths when he was caught, the Army wife came and recognized him as the rider too, when they got to his family again the Highness came out in his usual manners but didn’t know that the woman was an Army officer’s wife, after defending his thief grandson, the Army officer introduced himself, when he heard his name he was in great shock but it was too late, the Army officer’s village boys wanted to swing into action but he calmed them down. And invited the police both the thief and the thief highness were taken to zone 9, the boy is facing 14yrs jail term , while the traditional ruler has been suspended by the village council. My dear ,many families are into family crime, moral values has been lost. The worshipers of wealth are more than the respectful ones in our societies today. A young man who is not doing any visible job or business that always comes home and show off wealth, what will an innocent and morally conscience parents/siblings do? Is it not to ask him about the sudden wealth? But some will start celebrating and even begin to insult his age mates that are taking life as it comes. I am not in support of killing the innocent parents and siblings of any criminals, unless they are in support of their children/siblings criminal activities. The men the criminals kill are fathers and siblings to other people. I support the destruction of their properties so that they will know that it is vanity. In Nigeria mostly these free social network/forums; you will see different species of apes in human forms. When the man proposes to the girl, and she accepts to marry the man, the first thing the girl will do after being sure that the ,guy is serious and meant his proposal, is to discuss it with her mother if she is still alive, then after that she will talk to the father, that day the father will ask her many questions about the man, from then the parents will be sitting with her till the man comes to talk to them about his intentions towards their daughter. Some questions will follow as usual,but not an intimidating/humiliating ones, but in a very polite manners. Then after that day, the girl’s parents will wake their daughter early in the morning and repeat all their questions, if she stand on her ground that she will marry the guy, then her parents will begin to go into secret and quiet family investigations about the guy. When they are satisfied with their findings, they will then tell the guy to bring his parents/kinsmen if he is serious about his mission to their family. If they are not they will talk to their daughter to stay clear, sometimes girls who are madly in love ignore their parents disapproval to still marry the man, which sometimes works in their favors or opposite. Not all investigations are favorable to all the marriages at times, some work for while some work against. The way this young man was intimidated at first visit will never make him happy with father in-law if at all the marriage worked out. This is why you see some guys change their attitudes towards their in-laws after their marriages. This writer Vikin, never expected what she is getting now because she taught that everyone will dummynly buy to her trash about the young man. If you can go back to her first comment, you will see where she wrote that her father never liked the young man, with this you would see that the young man was not welcomed in the family, so the proposal was already dead on arrival. Her Health Minister Sister as a lioness hunter maybe just saw the guy on the way and brought him home for feasting as usual, because I know that no young man will ever propose marriage to a girl first in the presence of her parents for the first time. So if she was proposed before she brought the young man home, what was her answer to the guy then? At least I know that a Girl will first say yes before taking a man home to her parents. Or did she take the guy home for her parents to say yes or no for her? It was for financial reason that she took the young man home for an embarrassment, because she is a medical doctor. The way the girl’s father conducted the interview was very, very, wrong if really he is an educated man, though education is an acquired knowledge while wisdom is pure natural. The only committee report that was fastest acted upon in this administration is the FUEL PRICE INCREMENT A.K.A FUEL SUBSIDY REMOVAL. After that other ones have been postponed till after 2019.I heard they are planning to drop the Ribadu headed Committee’s recent reports. But demanding for a flight ticket from his daughter's suitor was an act of exploration. Your sister was not matured enough for marriage, also never knew what she needed in a man. She is a materialistic type that was why she fell for your father's greed.
