Have you stopped to wonder what would happen after said declaration? If there are Igbos left in the north by October 1st, then what? We don't support violence in any guise. |

Yaah, they (fulanis/muslims) are very good in politics, buh this is possible with islamic extremism n nothing more. Okay. That's a lot of them then. I have always thought them to be between 20-25% of the entire Population. Guess your stats includes non Fulani Muslim as well. I've always pictured just fulanis and resident Hausas. Remember that the fact you disagree with some of the things their leaders are doing doesn't make the entire tribe guilty of the same offence. In light of the recent happenings In Nigeria, I wish to call on all Nigerians of Southern and Middle-belt extractions to converge here and chart a course for the future of our dear people.
The aim of this movement is to bring our people together and see how we can work towards a better and United front.
It is no more secret that we are all tired of the Hausa-Fulani overbearing and crude attitudes towards the national life.
I propose that we state in clear terms how we can move the two regions forward and ensure that we have a place where the best brains brains get the best jobs. A land where religion will no longer be a factor to calling another a brother. Somewhere we can all call home with pride.
NAMS is only a proposed name. |

Just bring out one credible person from the south or middle belt whom we should all support and vote for. We just need to agree. |

You will hear " naira dari biyu" instead of Arabic words. Arabic is part of our his history. Like I said, if you don't want Arabic please dont study it but you cannot use your silly, senseless religious bigotry to stop people that want to learn to learn. So you mean to compare the benefits of studies in Arab institutions that are not different from Nigeria's due to religious sentiments, with what, French unis renowned for science and technology? Why must he stress on Arabic. If you wanted a language for opportunities and growth, Arabic won't rank in the first 20. What remarkable feats have the Arab unis achieved? Why not German, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean? Religion has most of you running mad, but you don't know it. |

If you don't want to study it nobody is forcing forcing you but allow other Nigerians that want to learn Arabic to go and learn! jaki Kawai! Who is the jaki here? I don't join issues with unruly people. Does your head hurt? French is the second most widely learned foreign language after English. You think all those people don't know why? Speaking French opens up study opportunities at eminent French unis and business schools, not to mention job opportunities. How much of those does the Arabic offer? Like it or not, Arabic, as studied by the Arewa masses, is solely for religious reasons. Whoever wants to learn Arabic should go to the islamiyya. Unfortunately, we live amongst unreasonable people. |

nwaanambra1: very sad situation.
Nnamdi Kanu is never a solution to the igbo struggle.
all we ever wanted was restructuring and not secession. the sharp edged wood does not strike a man twice in the eyes.
IPOB has been so undiplomatic in their use of words and the northern youths spoke without wisdom - and sadly the elders from both divide are not speaking like elders. its time Nigeria realize that if their is any kind of war again, its going to be the end of west africa and possibly africa as we know it.
this situation has become that of odudu biri na amu - it needs serious caution. elders should stop sitting on the fence and doing the job of elders!
some words of caution for the North - if they make the mistake of braking Nigeria, their situation will be worst than Afghanistan - there will be massive uprising from the various ethnic groups in the North who are already feed up with the oppression by the northern hausa-fulanis. these ethnic groups will no longer be deceived into being used to fight any war ever again. True. You see, the north has already lost the middle belt and parts of the Northeast. Civilised people outnumber the uncivilised ones in the Northeast, excluding Northern Borno, of course. When push comes to shove, the northwest will have to go it all alone. And that for me, is suicide mission on their part. The northwest has always been the problem of this country from time immemorial. |

Statsocial: ABU Zaria is quite known for this. Frankly, there is nothing the FG would do about it. I feel so much pity for Northern Christians having been essentially ostracized in all facets of life, being treated as second class citizens. It would also amaze you that same University gets far more allocation than UI and UNN. I hope the christians up north can seek refuge in Unijos or so. You speak the truth, bro. And as you rightly suggested, some of the people are beginning to move to unijos instead. I know about two professors who have moved already. And these people were the best their various departments could boast of during my undergraduate days. They Muslim leaders have already laid the groundwork to make the uni accrue more allocations that any other in Nigeria. A very nice school overall, but religion has tore it down to shreds. I am afraid for the incompetent people ABU will dole out in future. Things look bleak. |

Education › Islamic Agenda In ABU, Zaria by coptic(op): 9:31pm On Jun 19, 2017 |
A wise man once said, "Education would be all the better for teachers focusing on knowledge and not evangelising for their god."
Unfortunately, it is becoming increasingly difficult to tell ABU apart from a religious organisation.
Every facet of the academic life is now been given a religious coloration. Exceptional professors, doctors, and lecturers have left the institution at one point or the other owing to the politics of religion playing out there.
Today, it has been established that the the non-Muslim and non-natural/Fulani Muslim lecturers were frustrated out of the school to make way for the rather inept but Muslim ones.
Information from reliable sources disclosed that ABU Zaria has been hiring Muslim-only candidates to fill various vacancies in the school. This is irrespective of whether they are fit for the job or not. Professor Ibrahim Garba has turned the once reverred institution into a sectarian assembly where merit has been thrown out the window.
I have been reliably informed that the recruitment was such that some Christian applicants were told to their faces that they won't make the cut just because they differ in religious beliefs.
Even the admission process has taken a different dimension.
Religion has been eating deeply into the fabrics of ABU for long, but never before has it been this bad.
The Federal government needs to look into the affairs of that school.

The remaining tribes that made up your assumpt 70% are made up of over 50 tribes, Majorly Jukun, Kutep Ichen,Mambilla,Chambas etc or you believe all this tribes will gang up and wipe the Fulanis?
The tribes of Taraba are always at each others neck, The most backward state with the Most visionless Governor in Nigeria is Taraba, The Governor spend 4B to farm Cucumber worth 2b.
I hope I have slap sense into your head.
The Jews are the Ndigbos (In Nnamdi Kanu Voice) Oga, you said there are over 31% Fulanis in the Taraba State house of Assembly, alleging that in addition to the five LGAs they control, it'll be impossible to wipe them out. And I asked, so the remaining 69% cannot wipe out the 31? Your explanation about the other tribes being at each others' throats answers that any way. However, you must understand that when it comes to facing the Fulanis squarely, there's unity of purpose amongst all tribes. That said, overall, the Taraba based Fulanis are among the most peaceful, tolerant, and educated. Although there are some troublesome elements among them. We wouldn't have had as many issues if the other Fulanis were like that. It's obvious that you are Fulani yourself, considering how much you are standing up for them here. Take the message of peace home, and not encourage war. They'll end up losing in the event of that. |
