When Obasanjo became President, the Presidency was not zoned to the South-West, instead it was zoned to the South. That is why Alex Ekwueme contested against Obasanjo at the PDP primaries in 1999 and Obasanjo whipped Ekweume's ass mercilessly.

Also, in 2003, Emeka Ojukwu contested under APGA against both Obasanjo and Buhari and the Yoruba prodigal son Obasanjo defeated the Igbo lord Ojukwu in all the 11 South-East and South-South states including Emeka Ojukwu's home state and local government.

So, the rotation is between North and South and not between 6 geographical zones. Of you start talking about the geographical zones, the North East and North Central too will say it is there turn to produce the President.

Conclusively, as Yorubas are putting Tinubu the Jagaban forward with Professor Yemi Osinbajo and Femi Akinwumi (ADB President) as reserves, you Igbos too should put your candidates forward and lobby other regions to support your candidates. Abusing other regions and name calling will not get you to the Presidency.
