Singer Timi Dakolo who raised an alarm after he spotted some strange men with guns at his house has been rescued.

Sega Link who shared a photo of the singer on his Instagram page wrote;

There was an emergency at MMIA in Lagos after a man who ran out from the bush intercepted an airplane that was about to take off.

One of the passengers, @otto_orondaam who shared the video on his Instagram page wrote;

“Guys this is an emmergency o.
For 30 minutes we have been stuck at the runway at MMIA by an unidentified man who ran to the aircraft with a bag.
Security has not showed up and everyone is panicking.
I have so many questions to ask but right now I can't even breathe.
Pls share this to all relevant authorities.
Dear Nigeria!!!!! Update: He has finally been apprehended and we've all disembarked from the flight. FAAN authorities showed up 23minutes into the scene but were scared to approach him. Security eventually shows up after 37mins.
How it happened!! So our flight was taxing on the runway and about taking off when this man shows up running towards the moving aircraft from the bush. The pilot and a few passengers spotted him running towards the aircraft and the pilot immediately slowed down and quickly put off the engine.
The guy approaches the plane with gloves and starts walking around and under the aircraft holding a bag which he dropped inside the engine.
Thanks to the Pilot of the Azman Airline for quickly observing and taking swift action.. I still have a million and one questions to ask cos anything could have gone wrong! Nigeria will work perfectly someday. This I know.”

Jennelle Eliana might not have a proper home, but she has made living in a van with her pet snake look very glamorous as she chronicles it on her Youtube channel.

Many would wonder how she copes with the basic luxuries living in a house affords such as having a bathroom and a toilet.

In one of her videos, Jennelle explained that she sometimes looks for a socially acceptable open place where she can bathe but she prefers to bathe at a gym bathroom. She added that she has been doing that everyday for close to two years.

Basically, living in a van like Jannelle is more like being on a road trip every day of her life because she can easily move locations and her ‘house’ is not a permanent site.

Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel has bowed out of the Nigerian national team after the end of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.

The former Chelsea midfielder, who will be plying his trade with Trabzonspor in the Turkish topflight in the new season wrote;

Egypt is a country where I’ve started and have finished my National career. In 2006 I played my first official championship for my Country. 2019 African Cup of Nations marks my last championship for National Team with Super Eagles.

My national career started in 2003 under 17 World Cup and I’m grateful for the national team for placing me on the world arena and giving me an opportunity to show my skill and have an incredible National and International career.

At the age of 32 it’s time for me to retire from the National team and let the youth take over, who’ve done an amazing job securing a bronze medal at AFCON 2019.

Thank you to all my Nigerian supporters and to my Country for all the trust, support and love you’ve shown me over the past 15 years.

Poo Water Used To Quench Burning BRT Bus In Ikorodu, Lagos (Photos)


In the early hours of today, a BRT bus gutted fire in Anthony, Ikorodu road, Lagos and sewage water deployed to quench the burning BRT.

The incident later turned into a laughing stock immediately the rescue team started using the waste water put off the fire.

A Policeman was shocked to his marrows last night, after taking home a hooker in Kubwa area of Abuja.

The officer couldn't identify the hooker as a man because of the female outfits he's wearing until they reached home.

The culprit who was being paraded in the room of the officer, could be seen dressed in a woman's attire and had a bum pad on his buttocks to make them look as though they were that of a lady.

The man revealed that he plies his trades at night and does the costume all by himself and then takes them off the next day.

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) has ordered the issuance of subpoena on the Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Mahmood Yakubu and the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) Zamfara State.

They are, by the subpoena issued on July 9, 2019, expected to appear and produce some documents used for the last election, required by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate in the last presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, who are petitioners before the tribunal.

At the resumption of proceedings on Wednesday, petitioners’ lawyer, Chris Uche (SAN), told the tribunal that the subpoena had been served on the two officials but they have failed to either appear or make available the documents requested.

He said subpoena are like summons from a court that the subject must obey.

Tribunal Chairman, Justice Mohammed Garba noted that from the record of the court, Yakubu was served with the subpoena on July 15, 2019 when he was required to produce the documents.

Garba also noted that the one on the Zamfara REC was served on July 12.

He asked INEC’s lawyer, Yunus Usman (SAN) to take the necessary steps to ensure the subpoena is complied with.

Two persons have been killed in renewed clashes among cult groups in Calabar, Cross River state.

This is coming less than 24 hours after the brutal murder of James Chia, a final year student of electrical electronic engineering in Cross River University of Technology, Calabar Campus, on Monday.

Chia was shot and axed to death immediately finishing his final paper in the semester in his faculty.

The two persons were shot dead in the early hours of today Tuesday, July 16, at Palm street and CRUTECH pavilion field, Calabar South. It is however not ascertained if they are students of the school.

11 people have been arrested and detained in connection with the murder of Nigerian student, Obasanjo Adeola Owoyale, in Cyprus

The suspects appeared in court yesterday in Lefkosa. Turkish Cypriot police had raided an apartment building in Lefkosa, early Thursday morning, to make arrests.

It was learned that the house was the last place Obasanjo, a student of the Cyprus International University, had gone before he was killed.

According to preliminary findings by the police, Obasanjo was thrown down the third floor after he was killed. Black plastic gloves with stains resembling blood were found on the floor.

It was gathered that the deceased was allegedly killed in a fight due to the issue of debt.
Havadia reports that he was severely beaten and wounded with a cutting tool and then thrown from the window of the apartment on the third floor. .

He was then put in the trunk of his own car and parked in a dirt field, one street away, where he was later found on Monday, July, 8, 2019, eight days after he was declared missing.

Some angry sympathisers were seen at Pa Fasoranti' house in Akure as they call upon the government for help for the killing of their head and pillar Funke Olakunrin.

Pa Reuben Fasoranti daughter Mrs Funke Olakunrin, 58 years old was killed by gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen two days ago, along Ore road, in Ondo State.

According to a video making rounds online, the angry sympathisers were heard chanting;

"We want to fight war. Yes we want to fight them.We dont want fulani herdsmen again, let them go.
