litdutchboy: Yes, they refused to open it books despite a court order. Can't you read? Last May, two civic organisation, BudgIT, filed an FOI request to the Lagos State government asking for a breakdown of the state’s education budget between 2015 and 2018. The state government, through its ministry of justice, refused to accede to the request. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/280552-foi-despite-court-of-appeal-ruling-lagos-refuses-to-open-its-books.html Don't mind Lagos state. They know they're rich (what with tge neighborhood corps and other lagos owned departments already capable of replacing the federal equivalents) And looking into the books will get brows raised. Lagos wants to be a free state and if eventually the kind of federalism they want succeeds in passing, Lagos will be light years away from many states. That's my emotion speaking. |

noturbusiness: then the blame should go to your leaders not UK as they will also try to get favourable terms for their citizens. we may also be getting more favorable immigration terms as EU workers will have to go through the same application process as us Wrong We're a 'former' colony of the Brits and I don't see how we wouldn't be treated as such(except smart people who knows how to negotiate takes vital positions) especially now that the media portrays "the whole lot of us" as scammers et all. All these "yes sir, yes sir" leaders we have will only lead us into 'fire from the frying pan'. noturbusiness: I think UK want to go the way of US . maybe they feel the EU is stopping them from playing a dominant role in world affairs as the always have to queue in behind the EU most times. after brexit, they will no longer obey EU rules, they will be free to offer favourable terms to all these third world country in exchange for loyalty and open-market just as US and China have been doing. and the most important one is that they will no longer be part of Germany colony Looking back, I fear the bolded I'd be happy and comfortable only if we had reasonable people running affairs over here for I fear the 'favorable terms' in exchange for 'loyalty'. Like seriously, its more about what they can offer us and vice versa. Anything else na big grammar. These geopolitical behemoths will mildly coerce any to get whatever they want and give peanuts in return. |
Politics › Re: Brexit Puts $8bn Nigeria, UK Trade At Risk by correctguy101(m): 7:11am On Dec 02, 2018 |
noturbusiness: I see the UK and US forming a great alliance in the future after brexit to dominate world affairs. I don't see the UK economy getting hit too much. a few years after brexit, everything will be okay again. I have always been a fan of brexit as I feel Europe has been holding them back I still believe Britain has gone through the pros and cons and have a reason to want out of EU. One they can't tell anyone now. A wild guess could be what you just mentioned. But I feel its more than just that. But remember, they've already got a special relationship with the US Going back and seeing how the Brits operate, I know something is brewing. And I just don't see how it'll affect a 'former colony' that much. The figures are exaggerated and maybe a way to make some billions grow wings or get swallowed by another animal, maybe goats eating the funds this time. |

ianq: Tomi reeks of corruption; take a closer look and you find she looks like fraud personified. She should be investigated. It’s absolutely plausible that she committed the crime of which she accuses another; I for one cannot trust the intellectual capacity of one who would stoop so low yet claim to be a writer. Does she come from a wealthy background?, A rich father, perhaps? It would be believable that she has a ghostwriter in her employ, toiling away like a slave at the keyboard. Corruption? Stooping low? Care to enlighten me? @the bolded, TF you talking about? If she's rich enough to pay a ghostwriter, that a problem?

dukie25: The havoc some pastors are creating, I just hope they get their reward in hell.
Few years ago a pastor named some infants and accuse them of being behind their parents misfortune. The kids (all under 10yrs) were no longer welcomed to sleep at home. One of them, a 6yr old was forced to sleep in the market. Imagine a 6yr old girl sleeping in the market all by herself.
Imagine the number of paedophiles that would go to the market after dark. In sane society the pastor would be charged as an accessory to attempted murder. I for one don't expect churches to start building factories. And I'm sure the "build factories instead of churches " crew don't want that too for they should already know that any factory built by any religious body will only /mostly accept its members or try to coerce others into membership. Its not the job of the churches to start building factories, its the job of every citizen and government.
