A JF-17 Thunder 4.5 Generation Fighter Jet armed with WVR & BVR air-to-air missiles. The Nigerian Armed Forces has totally vanquished the SANDF in arms race. It's over and the proof is there for all the world to see. No one should accord the failed Southies time.

GreenandGold: Surely you can't continue, we all know that and with what, bare hands Your Southie guys mentioned all irredeemables we gave the option take the pension, surrender or be obliterated. It was always a losing war for the Southies, I told you so. Its suicide fighting with the Giant of Africa: largest economy and biggest democracy with the burgeoning military firepower to back it up to your shores.Battle Damage Assessment of the war: SAAF destroyed. The SAN reduced to a moribund ineffective merchant Navy not even a Coast Guard. The SA Army bloated with overweight inexperienced, half-baked educated command with nigh nonexistent combined-arms forces. I repeat the day Zimbabwe decides to get angry it will be over for South Africa. Meanwhile while you hallucinate over name labels yea, you're right having won the war I moved on.Quit the struggle. Tow the path of your defeated compatriots. It's over. We won. |
GreenandGold:Yea you did at great cost And how did it end You lost the war! Last we heard your last surviving Frigate was limping back to port. |
kabe1:Oh I missed this one I can't quite put an adequate guess on that because Russia's doctrine in this war has been a bit befuddled but if I can second guess the Russian General Staff and Aerospace Forces a host of factors could have informed that decision. I could pin it down to the MI-35M though highly advanced is more of a multi-purpose platform compared to the KA-52 a dedicated attack platform for both aerial and surface combat. The KA-52 apparently is more maneuverable and agile with longer range missiles therefore best suited for the kind of threats they face in Ukraine however I don't think they fly alone. Its possible other rotary aircraft are in the mix but act more as reconnaissance, attack/SpecOps platforms an area the MI-35M performs perhaps better than the KA-52. Another fringe reason could be weather, terrain, pilot/combat system or because the KA-52 has a higher service ceiling. |
kabe1:Indeed, no doubt. There's no contestation. The Russian pilots even brag publicly how they go under fire in heavily contested environment to successfully carry out combat missions. |
kabe1:I see you noticed that one, great guy, great to see him today in flight and next to him is the famous deadly Super Tucano attack pilot

The NAF has just again in full view of the whole world classified the JF-17 Thunder in Nigerian Designation as a 4.5 Generation Multi-role Fighter Jet capable of the full spectrum of precision Air Warfare including maritime Ops. Any one who dares argue with me must show his rank in a reputable National Air Force. Note: The NAF was clear the Nigerian Air force is about the best in these parts of the world both in terms of manpower and inventory. Aside: Couldn't quite capture very well the JF-17s, too fast at 1.6 mach. Please see open sources. I expect some in the following days

GeneralFarouq:Nonetheless we can't be sitting ducks. The world is leaving us behind. We have to get our act together and be even if modestly prepared for future wars that's what the lesson from Ukraine should tell on many fronts the first of which is where we are now is still a huge joke when it comes to war with a not so peer power. Invest in education, the sciences, R & D, steel, technology, dedicated funding and training for an expanded armed forces and police. The next big war will be Aerospace, Cyber, Drone technology, Hypersonic missiles and Underwater warfare/Submersibles, New and Traditional Media, SM disinformation. I mean these guys are building stealth nuclear submarines that are ever increasingly quieter, lethal and deadly. We stand no chance but if we can get some decent investments in the areas mentioned above we can make the enemy think twice considering the measure of pain we can bring to bear in the case of any eventuality enough deterrence against a war. |
Apparently PO has received Close Protection Detail (CPD) and a Body Man from the DSS. See the Pin lappel on agents suit jacket. There's also been storm DSS troopers on one of his state tours for delegates in the coming primary. The police are now also in the thick of it with the Mopol. Also observed a team of SpecOps from the Air Force Panthers or Army SOFs not exactly sure always traveling with him now probably the work of Military Intelligence can't be sure though. Normally the man travels with no security a little concerning for wider security. Is this some sort of proactive response or the powers that be in Abuja and or the elite political forces in Nigeria see the pendulum. At this stage it is unlikely the Peter Obi campaign would have put in for official Secret Service protection considering his unassuming personality and character but who knows with a wise political handler like Dr. Doyin Okupe in his entourage a man whose political skills has helped install three presidents in Nigeria. Permutations of a potential future president and the implications for Nigeria's military To quote the man and referencing the West: "Security is a continuous investment" PO Now that kind of thinking on security, I like!

The most of s.tupid of fights to pick by anyone to fight is the one the comedian Ukrainian president Zelensky has chosen to fight at the nudging of the Biden White House. A war with Russia is a mistake. None of the big powers will come out any better because we are this close, so close to the use of tactical nuclear weapons. Heard someone ignorantly arguing just before my sabbatical that nuclear weapons would never be used - it's a stretch yes, but what most don't know is the difference between Tactical & Strategic Nuclear weapons. Moscow can decide which NATO country most sticks its head out in the neighborhood and make a statement there with a precision hypersonic tactical nuclear warhead and mostly likely that would be Poland and I can tell you nothing will happen. NATO for all its bluff won't come save Poland. Russia has basically control or has the initiative in this war because it is a premier power. It chooses when and where the fight is waged and to all intents and purposes determines the outcome. What Western weapons only manage to do is prolong the inevitable outcome: the loss of Ukrainian nationhood which is the strategic goal of Wladmir Putin. Someone comes into your country assaults your capital, leaves when he wants and possibly it's coming back after establishing the needed corridor in the East, what more can be said of a lost cause. The war shouldn't have happened in the first place if the comedian cum president simply signed on the dotted lines of neutrality. Now he's wasted lives and ruined his own country. I mean this guy deserves some s.panking by any new government of Ukraine quasi or puppet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=008wqqEcJYA |
Power & Prestige | NNS KADA In South Africa Showing the Southies what it actually means to have a Blue Water Navy that can put out to sea, project power to distant lands and achieve national and regional objectives by military diplomacy or force of arms. Not the SAN moribund in port with fancy toys that can't swim. Next on the interim shopping list are Light Frigates, A Flagship and one more LST. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acrYptkbsuw |
