My dear, Nigeria is a country that hates growth and development. Look at the Niger delta today; Rotimi Amechi (Governor of Rivers State) created jobs, built warehouses, factories and other places where youths can work and earn something reasonable. He even went as far as giving some of the capitals to start their own business according to what I read; But they have refused to stop militancy in that region, they know that the kind of money they make from there is peanuts compared to what they would be paid by the government if they eventually stop. Ghana shouldn’t be compared to Nigeria because they’re far more advanced than us in terms of conducting elections; in Nigeria, there are no elections, so the idea of voted out of office shouldn’t be raised. What we have is just a rotation of seat; the top PDP brass are up there rigging their lives to ensure that they maintain power; can’t you remember what Obsanjo said in the 2007 elections, that IT’S A DO OR DIR AFFAIR. When someone makes that statement, then you know he means business. |
Don't be afraid my dear; if you love him and he loves you, then it's ok to give it a shot. |
Going drunk again? |
People like Gettysburg are a reflection of what is gone wrong with our society, they reflect Nigeria's acceptance and defense of a culture of corruption. You dont need a rocket scientist to tell you that Obasanjo is a corrupt leader, Do you?
My dear leave him alone; everyone is entitled to his own opinions. If he feels Obsanjo is a great leader, then it’s up to him. |
21 should be ok. Because by then she would be matured enough to make reasonable decisions on her own. |
Obsanjo should go and sit at home; he should stop embarrassing himself; his government was a failure whether he accepts it or not we all know that indeed he was a failure. So going to a place like London to give a lecture should not be on his diary; what don’t he intent to lecture on? Or was he planning on teaching them how to be corrupt like he was? |
*Sighs* |
Greed and corruption would never allow them unite. So we just have to keep managing the corrupt PDP leaders for the time being or until God himself send us help from above. |
My dear, don’t say that; all the ex police Igs have proved nothing; they have all ended up in EFCC detentions after their tenure. What’s the probability that the next person after Okiro would take the job as serious as the way he does? |
They don’t exist anymore in Ibo land. Most communities have call for the scrap; they have no offence if that’s what you want to know. Osu’s or outcasts are people who wondered into other villages those days, and unfortunately form them, they were captured, caged and asked to serve their gods. Most of them were asked to take care of shrines, serve goddess, work as slaves and other shameful things; they were given marks on their foreheads those days and driven away from the community. People who see them keep away from them, and if you’re seen talking to anyone of them, you would be regarded as an outcast. But the good news is that they don’t exist anymore; anyone caught calling someone and Osu would be seriously dealt with. At least that’s what we’re made to believe. |
GettysBurg:Where are you, some kind of jungle? Maybe you were in jail during Obasanjo’s tenure that’s why you’re sounding like this. I don’t need to give you any fact; everyone knows that Obsanjo is a corrupt leader. Look at the way he increased the VAT weeks before his hand over to Yar’adua; the University strike that lasted for months and months; the fuel crises and other financial problems in the country. Are you now telling me that you don’t know about that also? |
I KNOW THIS MAY NOT BE THE RIGHT FORUM TO ASK THIS QUESTION, BUT I STILL WANT TO KNOW!! PLS, I WANT KNOW IF HIV TEST IS PART OF THE MEDICAL TEST ON PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYEES?
Some companies and even Banks request for it; but if you know you don’t have the virus, there’s nothing to be afraid of. |
I don’t see PDP loosing the seat of power for the net 60years. PDP dominates about 80% political seats in Nigeria, so destroying or overthrowing them would only be a dream that can never come to pass. But maybe it can come to pass if all the Political parties come together as one and meet the PDP in the battle field. There’re about 45 political parties in Nigeria so if 44 of them unite, together, they can achieve success. But the question is would they unite? |
I can’t tolerate a girl that cheats. A girl that’s always looking dirty, untidy and doesn’t care about her physical appearance. A girl that lacks respect. A girl with a bad mouth. |
Nigeria is a market place where people perform all kinds of magic. Yar’adua doesn’t have what it takes to lead Nigeria to the promise land; we’re experiencing all this problems and madness because our head is faulty. We need honest leaders not people who after being voted into office would turn the place into a money making business. |
I read in Punch that power supply would be stable by 2010 (that’s next year) Even the Lagos State Government and other states like Kwara, Abia and Kano are already working towards achieving that goal. I just hope they mean what they say this time. |
If it’s through the internet you people met, then don’t take it so seriously; internet relationships are like winds and clouds that brings no rain. They end in nothing. But if you can’t control your longing for him, then it’s ok to send him a mail and say hello to him; there’s no need for you to hide your feelings and suffer in silence when you know you love someone. But abut your question whether he misses you, that’s a question I can’t answer; it’s up to you to figure it out. |
What can I say. . . The man is trying his best to fight crime in the country; maybe he deserves the one year deal. |
I think that’s all bullshit. No body would admit to you that he’s corrupt; even an armed robber would never admit that he’s guilty. He (Obsanjo) should explain to us what happened to the $3.5m Abacha loot returned to Nigeria by the Switzerland bank, he should tell us what happened to that money; he should tell us what happened to the PTDF funds. He should tell us what happened to all the funds the EFCC recovered from corrupt governors during his tenure. He’s just trying to cover his black image. But no matter how he tries, his iniquities is out there in public for everyone to see. |
I think that serves him right; I read it on the punch news paper on Thursday. He even deserves more than that. That man is worse than a beast and so he should be treated as such. |
ROIC007:Must you start a thread because of that ![]() |
Yea we really that God; because e for de really terrible. |
Brush your teeth five times a day. |
Wao Osisi this is a nice thread; I wondered why I never came across it all this while. That Song Osondi Owendi by osadebe you put there is one of my favourite songs. Other high life musics from him I love are: 1.Abgalu Aka Na Azo Ani 2. Onye Amamife 3. Ogasi Amaka. (I really love this one) 4. America. It’s a pity he’s dead; just like olive d’ couque Do you listen to Oriental Brothers tracks, . . . they’re also nice. ![]() |
