You know, the old memories are very good. here's the game with Bayen munich Who didn’t see this one coming? As expected, the night Sir Alex finally reached the peak of European football, in the most dramatic of fashions, was voted the best game of his reign. United’s second European Cup win cakewalked the vote, comfortably topping the colossal triumphs-over-adversity victories against Juventus and Arsenal from the same season. The swashbuckling football dished up en route to the final looked set to amount to nothing as United entered injury time of an uninspiring final, trailing Bayern Munich by a single goal. It was an anaemic display, affected by the suspensions of Messrs Keane and Scholes. But in the first of three added minutes along came the most beautiful, ugly goal in the club’s history: Peter Schmeichel’s leap and miss, Dwight Yorke’s tame header, a shanked clearance, Ryan Giggs’ right shin and Teddy Sheringham’s scuffed finish… an unsightly, yet vital, leveller. A minute later, it was eclipsed. Shell-shocked Bayern players stood rooted as ‘Oh Teddy, Teddy’ rose to flick David Beckham’s corner onto Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s boot and into the top corner. Cue Red pandemonium in the stands, Sami Kuffour’s ground-beating tantrum and a night of celebrations instantly recalled at the mere mention of the date: One United. ![]() |

The man called Giggs There are few better sights in football than Ryan Giggs in full flight and there have been few better goals anywhere than the flying Welshman’s FA Cup semi-final winner against Arsenal in 1999. It was voted number one in a 2005 poll to find United’s greatest ever goal for a television programme, and not surprisingly it’s come out top again. “It seemed to pan out in slow motion,” recalls Giggs, a substitute that night, of his slalom run through half the Arsenal team. “When [Patrick] Vieira tried to get back at me I just dipped my shoulder and went past him, then others came and went the same way until I was in the box. [Lee] Dixon and [Tony] Adams tried to get to me, but I got away from them, and then I’m up against David Seaman. I thought, ‘just hit it’, which I did, firing the ball up into the roof of the net. It was the type of goal you dream about.” What made it so special was the context: United down to 10 men, Arsenal camped in the Reds’ half, and penalties seeming the most likely route to the FA Cup final. Instead Giggs conjured up a goal fit to grace any game – and one deemed even better than David Beckham’s halfway line effort at Wimbledon or Ole Solskjaer’s Nou Camp |
Why is it that some girls use their own hands to destory themselves. the guy is married can't you see? why not go and look for a guy who would love you and take good care of you. why do you prefer to stick with him? what makes you think he won't use you and dump. don't you know that for him dating you, he's cheating on his wife. how would you feel if it were you? look, if you want to make something meaningful out of your life, just look for someone else. forget about that guy. |
