Just my take on this.

Fidelity has over 16B shares listed already and there are sellers around still trying to lock profit from that sudden rise before the PO. Anytime the share price attempts to move north, profit takers will descend and depress the price. Additional shares are still to be listed for the PO.

When there are so many potential sellers, it is just hard for prices to move consistently in one direction. This has been my observation so far. I could be wrong. As another example, look at Oceanic.

One might say, what about Access? Well, Access has under 7B shares listed that is available for sale right now. Those that did the PO cannot sell yet. Once this additional 9B or more shares are listed, it could be a different story.

If you are looking for gains in the short run, I won't advice holding on to Fidelity.

Just my own take. Caveat Emptor.
As usual, you are the man! You know your takes are seriously carried and pon-pon-stick now  grin  grin - as we used to say when we were kegites (ala Samstone4)

Mr. Risky:
Remember what Fidelity said. "WE ARE FIDELITY, WE KEEP OUR WORDS". But make sure you remember the "words" they are keeping. Just be patient like two years, there is hope kiss kiss
Thanks Risky, I really appreciate.

Our words indeed!!! I'll give them 2 more weeks (for their words) and if by chance it gains about 10%, I'll discharge everything and move to 3 or 4 better stocks.

The money I am having with them can buy a small Island somewhere some place grin grin

I have a cordially relationship with my broker so much that I don't take note of her mistakes, because most of her mails are always informal.

But I’ll take note and scrutinize the prospectus when I get it today.

Please, where can I get the form of Partnership Investment Co. Ltd for subscription?
Will they be listed on the Stock market after private placement?

Thank you for your urgent reply.
My broker will mail me the form today and I’ll place it here tonight or latest tomorrow.

She said they are very positive that they will be listed this year, especially with so much money in the market and the private placement is so little 1.5 billion ordinary shares and in my own opinion the price seems cheap too (offer price of N2 per share)

I expect oversubscription on this one sha!
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by crazyT(m): 6:34am On Feb 27, 2008
Someone was asking about the Partnership Investment Co. Ltd: Private Placement, here under is what I got from my broker;

W. Wendy, wanaj0, Pumping et al what's your opinion on this?

Raising capital to meet up with regulatory requirement… Partnership Investment Company Limited (PICo.) is seeking to raise N3bn via a private placement of 1.5 million ordinary shares of 50kobo par value at an offer price of N2 per share with a view to shoring up its capital base from N378mn to well over N3bn. In April 2007, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) had directed all operators rendering issuing house and advisory services to recapitalize to a minimum of N2bn by December 2008.

… and diversify operations. The proposed application of funds confirms the company’s vision of becoming a well diversified financial services group. PICo would be spending over 45% of its offer proceeds on strategic acquisitions, enhancing subsidiaries’ capacity, project and real estate financing.

Strong regional presence and growing retail franchise. PICo. operates in four key regions ( Lagos , Abuja , Benin and Port Harcourt ). The company runs a business model that revolves around providing brokerage and asset management services to about 10,000 retail clients it has currently. We believe the recent regional expansion embarked upon by the Nigerian Stock Exchange should bode well for PICo, particularly within the oil-rich middle belt and Niger Delta regions of Nigeria , given its understanding of the culture and peculiarities of the locals.

Increasing market share. The company recorded a 3-year CAGR of 74.6% and 38.7% in gross earnings and net profit to N510.3mn and N14.8mn respectively in 2006. However, profit margins have been volatile over the years, due to high cost of financing its operations. We expect the fresh equity to be injected into the company on the successful completion of its offer to moderate this trend.

Q3 ’07 results show an impressive run in profitability. PICo recorded a PBT of N121.4mn on gross earnings of N545.9mn. Applying historical tax rates of 34.5%, we estimate a net profit of N121.8mn and a net margin of 16.8% for FY ’07 (FY ’06: 2.9%).

Valuation yields significant upside potential. Our valuation of PICo yields a fair price of N4.14 per share which indicates a 107% upside potential when compared with the offer price of N2.00.

If you know anything about this PP please do share with a brother.

Btw, I need your help on what stock to buy because I am heavily loaded from my loot on (my non-fundamental stocks) Capoil and Afroil; the loot is so much that I need to whitewash the money ASAP  embarassed because 8500% gain in less than 1year from just 2 stocks is more than blood money. shocked

I had a “looting after party”  cheesy and that was why I overslept and missed the SCOA flight, now Transcorp has made me sober and I am back to reality.

I am thinking of offloading part of my loots into these stocks PZ, COSTAIN, ARBICO, R. T. BRISCOE and DUNLOP

So, what’s your take on any of these stocks?

Don't worry, more juicy offers are in the pipeline. Make Napoleon tell us once Starcomms, Multilinks and Interswitch are out.

Well, on Afroil and Capital Oil, sell some more as a way of locking in profit. You've made enough to walkk away from stocks without any fundamentals. Sell now when there are buyers (that's my assumption). Soon, no one will be buying those stocks execept you find a mugu. Remember the bigger fool theoryhuh
I hope Chief Napoleon go do something o, because Starcomms, multilinks and interswitch no go pass me by at all.

Thanks for the Capoil and Afroil advise, I have send in my selling order.

Any idea on where to offload the money, not CICO o but long term
