@ All

I just got this mail from citiinvestcap, it also mentioned the CIC thing. I wanted to open an account with them and I mentioned that I resides outside the country. Here under is a copy of their responce;

I  believe by now you must have received a mail from our helpdesk on the information you required.

You can make payment through the following

1)      NIBBS Transfer: Your bank will make payment to our account through this process converting your currency to naira.

2)      Payment to our dorm account directly: Now this process involves you sending a request for a CAPITAL IMPORTATION CERTIFICATE to us. This will ease the process of payment back to you when you want to withdraw funds from us. Without this we will be hindered to pay you.

Minimum Opening balance is N100,000.00

If you have any more questions please don’t fail to ask.

I have never heard of CIC before, I have been sending money to my broker since thy kingdom come and never have I heard anything like this from her. Maybe it’s something newly introduced in 2008.
Or it’s another style to collect money from ignorant people, just show your broker your Nairaland ID now and see wetin go happen.
Some of these brokers are like police; you must drop one way or the other.

See you are a GURU. Apart from OIL what other word should we look out for when picking a stock on the NSE. If it can give you 3200% and 2600% why change the strategy? Remember you don't change a winning team. Please make me your disciple OOOO.
If I am a white man you’ll surely see me blushing  embarassed, I know you are pulling my legs and for the guru of the guru’s to say this about my unconventional methods means a lot.

But on the other hand it shows how God really do use unconventional ways to help poor souls as mine.

Before I join NSE (February last year) I have lost more than 70million Naira in doing different businesses in Nigeria.

But God’s name be praised I have re-equip all my money back with intrest on top.

@ ICONBULL

CRAZY T, please i been wan ask u .how did u know capoil wuld be moving up, there hav been no result till date. did any of the gurus gave the hint in previous post? i rejoice with u sha! my own go soon come

It’s very funny, but Capoil happen to be one of the first stocks I bought on NSE without any knowledge of how to pick fundamentally good stocks. I bought Afroil and Capoil almost the same time for two reasons
1. because they both carries OIL as part of there names. 2. Because they were cheap and as luck will have it  they both appreciate about 3200% and 2600% respectively between 6 to 9 months.

I guess it was a welcome gift from NSE.

SIMPLE,

Don't fret over what could have been.
If Japaul was lower than your sell price today.
I'm sure your story would be " I MADE A KILLING THERE THANKS FOR REMINDING ME" grin
You are right, though it can be very painful sometimes.
For example I sold about 75% of my Capoil at 6.40 and ever since na up the thing dey go. See Capoil now it’s above 9 naira, although I made a killing because I bought at 0.33kobo but if I no panic a for…

pumping777:
And don't forget to show your appreciation. grin grin grin (Not by text message like someone said on this thread sha) huh
A go invite you to the thanksgiving party now, but na you go pay your ticket (with PHB money) to Amsterdam o  grin

@CrazyT

Don't think Big Treat minimum was 1 million units.
Certainly wasn't when I applied.
But you're right some money was returned.

Tantalizer should be a good one for longtermers but I'm unlikely to invest as the minimum of 5 million Naira is a bit much for me, with so many other action going on at the moment.

Hope you're not torturing your kids with investment lessons!

Samstone4 cool cool cool
Yes I am o! After all the majorities of my new acquired family (Nairalanders) supports my idea. My boys have both saved about 150 Euro approximately 26,000 Naira; we are still watching the right stock to buy.

I want something that will encourage them to go on and not Armed Robber   grin gain to borrow Wanaj0 slang

Do you have any suggestion?
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by crazyT(m): 2:01am On Jan 19, 2008
@ Easimoni

On the Tantalizer PP

I will not only fashi Tantalizer PP but run away from it, do you remember the Big Treat experience? In which the minimum was 1m unit and only 100,000units were later allocated and the rest money was returned after 8months. I expect the same faith with Tantalizer jare.

Abegi a no want make anybody keep my money unnecessarily for me this year  joor,

@ Wanaj0, Pumping777 and to whom it may concern

Guys I need help, I want to open a new account with a reliable brokers (with online access) Afrinvest is the first name that comes to my mind base on the positive stories I have read on this thread.

My question, is it possible to open an account with them without being in Nigeria?  If yes how do I go about it? I have about $10,000 to use in opening the account is this enough?

Special prayer for Tobechukwu

Lord Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd of the sheep, you gather the lambs in your arms and carry them in your bosom:
We commend to your loving care this child Tobechukwu. Relieve his pain, guard him from all danger, restore to him your gifts of gladness and strength, and raise him up to a life of service to you. In Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen
