another culprit could be ur ground.check n clean ur ground terminals on the car body...i also advice u to run 2 or 3 more ground cables to ur frame and chassis.it doesnt hurt.make sure u use thick cables and affix to the unpainted part of the car body/firewall

also use the procedure above to check the current draw when the car is off..it better to do this procedure after the car has been off for abt 15mins upwards.

You use a multimeter in the current measuring position. Make sure the fuse is not bad.

Loosen the ground battery cable, but don't separate yet. Connect one side of the meter to the negative battery cable or the car chassis with a jumper lead. Hold the other probe of the meter to the top center of the negative battery post. Lift the battery terminal slightly. Maintain the probe against the post through the big hole in the terminal. Note the current. Push the battery terminal back into place, and tighten.

You want to avoid actually breaking the connection so that the radio and computer settings are not lost. The meter supplies the current path when the terminal is pulled away.

something is drawing the current..or a cable is shorting somewhere..flooded cars normally hv this problem.come out at night and observe the car thourougly , see if a light is glowing somewhere door lights on the dashboard etc.also does the car hv a sun roof?

the best way to trouble shoot this prob is if u have an amp meter..then u can measure the current draw

this is usually the symptom if u put the wrong fluid..the car drives normally when its hot n slips when its cold.
flush out the fluid asap and use the correct fluid

also go a step further by changing the a/c air filter...its inside ur glove box or pigeon hole as per naija sl;angs

do u have coolant or water in ur radiator?.
check that the ac pulley is free and not binding...
3rdly...drain n flush ur radiator within clean water..preferabbly connect a hose to ur tap open the lower radiator pipe n flush through the top...after flushoinging...topfill ur radiator with good coolant....confirm the pulley is free n not binding

UR CYLINDER HEADS ARE PROBABLLY BAD..IT APPEARS IT MUST HV HAD THAT ISSUE IN THE USA...THE JUST CHANGED THE HEAD GASKET WITHOUT MACHINING THE HEADS...ANOTHER CAUSE CUD BE THAT UR BLOCK HAS WARPED DUE TO THE PREVIOUS OVERHEATING...thus the seal isnt 100%......all in all..be ready to spend money in fiixng the car

by converting from injector to carb..u hv rendered ur ecm/brainbox useless...thus there is no control over the fuel consumption.there is lil u cud do , apart from maybe manually adjusting the carb to reduce the flow of petrol..all in all..it isnt such a great idea converting ur car

i suspect ur steering rack seal is leaking..so the former owner used thicker oil to minimize the leak...i recommend u change the rack and also look at ur pump while at it...some mechanics claim to be able to fix such a leak...by removing the rack and working on it...i know some1 who tried that n its abt 5months now, no leaks..

remeber to bleed off air in the steering pump/reservoir whenever u change the fluid...that is what usually causes the leak in the first place

thast a sign of transmission problem..hope u refilled with original honda atf?...also revving ur car to 5000rpm isnt very good for ur engine!

over filling and under filling is bad!!!..........check ur manual or google the correct oil volume for ur car...its most likely 4 liters, but check..engine oil is checked when the engine is warm..aie when it hasnt been driven..better in the mornings b4 u drive out...checking it when the engine is hot will introduce errors as the oil wud hv heated and expanded.

oh tot cotonu wud be cheaper am getting almost the same price quote in lagos 2.1# 2.3m
