Say what you may about the Yorubas, but the truth is they have a very interesting culture, from their tone language which has given it recognition internationally thereby evoking a lot of interest in more research on languages spoken in Africa to their unique way of life.

I'm not Yoruba, but I have always admired the culture.

in this part of world, mothers are demi-gods, no matter how terrible one's parents especially a mother could be, we are taught that they should be revered.

An elderly man once whispered to a friend who was having issues with her mum and sought the intervention of elders in the family.
"We all know your mum is at fault, but we can't say it because she is your mum, a mother can never hurt a child, so go down on your knees and beg her, you are the child".
My friend had no choice but to yield, but that hasn't changed anything as she stills lives with the pain.

Anytime I hear the kind of stories like that of the OP, men calling women gold diggers. I just laugh, I will say it again and again, you can only attract your kind, but if by some miserable chance you attract something that isn't you, you will definitely know it sooner than later.
