Being stagnant in success is better than being second, third or fourth best where he moves. There a particular team in Italia series A that won all the major trophies in the league for 7 to 9 preceeding consecutive years before the arrival of a particular player but won just 2trophies since his arrival 2 seasons ago. Born to succeed is quite different to trained to be successful. Gbam!!!

OK sir, now I get you. Pls may I have your Watsapp digit for better communication?

How are you gonna learn wordpress and Shopify without the basics? By WordPress and Shopify I am talking about advance things like building wordpress themes and plugins and building Shopify apps and themes. You need your HTML, CSS, JavaScript and one React Framework. For wordpress you need PHP and for Shopify you need ruby on rails. There's no shortcuts.
ProgrammingRe: Why Is It That The Things That Give Money In Tech Are Always Hidden? by CrownWale93(m): 3:34am On Dec 18, 2020
You've convinced me enough to drop web,app designing for wordpress, shopify & co. With your write up.

Kindly help me on how to go about. I know nothing about WordPress & shopify presently and I will like you to tutor me.

May I have your Watsapp digit if you wouldn't mind?
tensazangetsu20:
I started this thread because of the other thread a nairalander made about monetizing his skills.

Most people who learn programming start this way. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or angular or Vue and Node or python and Django. This are all great technologies but there aren't any easy to make money with. Getting a job with the MERN stack nowadays isn't easy. Node only powers 0.9 percent of websites globally and yet everyone wants to learn it. Hng internship everyone wanted Nodejs. 90 percent of the tech industry still uses relational and MySQL databases yet people are killing themselves over nosql databases like MongoDB and of recently graphql.

If you look on the freelance market, Upwork, Fiverr, freelancer et al and also look at the general job market you would see that there aren't that many opportunities for those stacks. The thing that gives people money, the things a junior developer can start to use to put money in their pocket isn't taught. Go and look up WordPress plugin development from youtube and there's just like two videos that explain the process. If you really want to get deeper into that, get ready to read your eyes out on the WordPress documentation. It's also the same thing with WordPress theme development. Magento is also another hot area. The largest E commerce platform in the world yet it's not taught anywhere. Shopify isn't also taught anywhere. Shopify uses liquid as its own programming language base. When was the last time you heard about this or saw anyone teaching or using it. Even the resources to learn these stuffs are very scanty.

I am presently working on a Shopify website and instead of coding a review page, I recommended to the client that we buy an app that does the same thing from the Shopify store. Would you believe a Shopify app which is basically just a JavaScript touch carousel that displays your reviews on your home page has 5 dollar monthly subscription with more than 10000 users. The theme the client is using. I had to rewrite most of the CSS. He bought it for 200 USD. I wonder how the theme was even accepted on Shopify. I mean this guys are banking low key and this are technologies no one talks about or even looks at. Everyone is MERN stack, MERN stack. If you mention WordPress they fit kill you or remove your head. Why does the tech industry hide where people can make money from men?
TravelRe: Should I Invest In Nigeria Or Wait Until I Get A Permanent Stay In Abroad? by CrownWale93(m): 4:35pm On Dec 14, 2020
My own advice to you is to invest in your family and other people u think u can trust. For you to remain rich is by investing in your circle.

You can sponsor your trusted brother, sister, relative or friend on any IT related skills courses.

That sector is a blessing to humanity, the reason I'm hustling to get a very good laptop with good processor to study the course from a well connected and satisfied IT guru. Thanks.
Basalt:
Goodmorning Ladies and Gentlemen.
I am Basalt by name and I came to Germany last year(2019) October for my MSc studies with a little amount of Money and a partially borrowed block account from my inlaw (his money and my money).
On arrival in Germany, I took only a few courses and got a job outside my city and also got a mini-job. I did all my monthly expenses from my Mini job and used my main job to completely pay back my debt within a few months of arrival.

Now, that's not the discussion at hand.
I need advice especially from people who have lived abroad or have many years of experience in life.
My visa still counts till 2022 and I can even extend it if I don't finish my studies by then.
According to German policy, once you graduate from the University, you will be given 18 months to get a professional job or return back to your country.
Returning back to Nigeria is totally out of my plan at least for now because I came from a very poor family without any job connection and I am really enjoying Europe.
I plan to buy land or start building a house (I saved millions of naira and will even save more as time goes) but my friend who is also a student here discouraged me against that saying that my root is not yet fixed abroad that I should wait and continue investing in myself and undergoing professional training until I get permanent residency before investing. That I should always keep saving because it is not certain that I will get a professional job after graduation since my course is not in Information Technology which is currently booming in Germany. That even if I don't get a job, I can use the money to migrate to Canada or any other country of my choice.
He asked What if you invest the money now and don't get a job after graduation, what will you do after the 18 months of post graduation visa since you don't have any backup from home who will help you out financially.

What do you guys think. I need opinions

NAICOM Officially Issues Operating Licences for Heirs Holdings New Group Insurance Companies

The Nigerian Federal Government, through the insurance regulator, the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), has officially issued the operating licences for Heirs Holdings new Group insurance companies – Heirs Insurance Limited (HIL) and Heirs Life Assurance Limited (HLA).

This represents a further important milestone in a long-term strategic journey in providing much needed, quality, and valuable financial services, to a broad demographic in Nigeria.

Heirs Holdings Group Chairman and TEF Founder, Tony Elumelu stated,

Insurance should not be a luxury, and just as we have democratised other sectors, we will democratise insurance – applying our tried and tested business philosophies and execution ability.

Fuelled by the determination to improve lives and leave a legacy in the African private sector, we have embarked on this journey to revolutionise the insurance space – deploying technology, customer understanding and operational excellence.

It has been an eight-year-long journey, but with the optimism and the resilience that has brought us this far, it has been worth the wait.

Make I go withdraw my money commot for the bank before dem loose the case
abumeinben:
This reminds me of the case between US government and Apple over a man who the FBI wanted badly and they got his iPhone. FBI contacted Apple for the unlocking but Apple refused that it's the privacy and data protection policy of the company. FBI had to look for other means to break into the phone. One of the reasons Apple iPhone is highly trusted, sort of.

The bank has no right to freeze customer's account. I listened to Peterside on Arise TV and he confirmed this. Lawlessness has its root in this country's leadership and it sprouts in the media, military, Police force, civil service, and particularly in the courts.

I hope Access Bank loses this case angry

No they can’t change. LASTMA and every other agency represents the average Nigeria. Prior to having uniforms and power, they also complained of the same thing they are doing.

Also the people at the top benefit from the madness. Once in a while they’ll make one person a scapegoat to please the public, then revert to the status quo.
