The same lady who is always quick to insult the male gender with all forms of derogatory word, some can't even be found in the Encyclopedia English of insults is now in love?!!! shocked

Wonders they say, never cease.

That's why I always say, forget about what you read on the internet, forget all those feminist talk and talk about evening newspaper, the heart wants what it wants.

Wishing you the best.
PoliticsRe: Oshiomhole On Ihedioha Vs Uzodinma: Court Shouldn’t Impose Governors On People by CsRockefeller(m): 9:06am On Mar 04, 2020
Mr Oshiomole, all I see here is a man trying to be cunny.

You know the rules to a game, you agreed to participate in it, now there's an infringement against you and instead of accepting the decision in good faith, you are calling for the rules to be changed so that in subsequent games, you can have your way.

This is a chameleonic philosophy.

Good evening everyone,

Please I need an accommodation on the island pending d time when I am able to get my own apartment.

I am a Batch C Corper serving with a firm in Victoria Island.

I go to work everyday from sango ota but the stress is getting too much for me as I wake up everyday by 3am and leave for the bus park by 4am....

Thanks in anticipation!!!

My phone no is 09033636067
Sister, this is a receipe for diaster. I'm so sorry, I understand that you have to keep a job, soul and body but please, you are giving an enormous stress to that body.

I know how sad I feel whenever I remember I need to go to Sango Ota, not to talk more about doing a journey everyday to the Island and back, I would just faint.

If you don't find an accomodation soonest, please leave that company. Your health is more important.
FamilyRe: Have You Ever Allowed A Total Stranger Move In To live with You? by CsRockefeller(m): 4:15am On Mar 04, 2020
Yes, first was in school...... Well he was a course mate.

In the last 1 year, 2 persons have stayed with me, met them here on Nairaland.

The second person was from a certain tribe and was so dirty, **gosh** I just won't try that stuff again.

What informed my decision to help people was because of my experience during my NYSC on Jos, a man who I didn't know from anywhere, gave me a shelter in his home for 2 weeks when my first PPA asked me to leave their apartment because I wanted to do something more fulfilling with my life. Story for another day.

A man finds a woman, not the other way.
Been eager , reduces her chances, because she is being viewed as desperate. Especially here in Nigeria.
What is the probability that a lady who is above 30 hasn't been asked for her hand in marriage at least twice while in her 20s.

If we do a simple random sampling, then you would see that most times, the ladies are to blame.

Too much unrealistic expectations, waiting for the cavalry that aren't coming.
RomanceRe: Why Men Should Not Marry Women Above 30 Years Of Age. by CsRockefeller(m): 12:17am On Mar 03, 2020
Lol. I'm beginning to think that this obsession with 30 year olds is witchcraft.

But, seriously speaking now, I'm 27 and I really want to settle down ASAP though, financial stability remains a bottleneck.

What I don't understand is why a lady will walk into her 30s and above and still wouldn't be eager to settle down.

Strange to me if you ask me. I don't even want to think that I will go into my 30s unmarried......God forbid!!
AutosRe: Going Into Transportation Business-advise Needed Please by CsRockefeller(m): 9:57pm On Mar 02, 2020
Nice one trying to help him out. This would have been best answered in the Business section. However, as you said earlier, he might not cope with the transportation biz, it's too stressful for a man his age.

The other alternative is better, I would suggest wine and assorted drinks biz.

This is one crazy lie.

The Classics didn't berth in Nigeria and into people's consciousness up until 2014 when the likes of Marquez, Giuly, Ronaldo, Iniesta and Messi (quite new to the team then) actively played for Barcelona. I saw my first European football match in 1998 and el Clasico wasn't even a big deal in Nigeria at the time. Rather, the likes of Roma, Fiorentina, Juventus, the Milans and Madrid (all thanks to the Galaticos) were the only prominent non English teams at the time. Saying you saw your first classics in 1994 is too obvious a lie.
WTF!!

You said it didn't berth in people's consciousness up until 2014? Man, you're a joker.

Okoroawusa:
You agreed with Mrs Turai that her husband was Nigeria's best president. Why?
Buhari is laying the foundation of a Nigeria that my grandchildren will be proud of. It's has not been easy for him to do so especially coming from PDP's disasterously 16 years.
The Yoruba say,"Seven Kings Seven Stories". So anyone can lay claim to being Nigeria's best president. For me, it certainly can't be a PDP president. 16 years of PDP is an aberration in Nigeria's history. Wasted years.
She never said her husband's reign was the best, read the topic again.

Remember in 4 years time, APC will have been on the saddle for 8 years, we are watching if they will fair any better.

Which metrics did you use to arrive at your own conclusion that a PDP president is Nigeria's best president?
I never said anyone is Nigeria's best President, I only agreed with Mrs Turai submission.

You on the other hand said Buhari is Nigeria's best ever President.

Buhari is Nigeria's best president. Take it or leave it.
PDP's 16 years was a disaster n Yar'Adua was a president under those 16 years. I am not a small child to be moved by sentiments. I know history of Nigeria from 1999 till date.
You are very funny. What has Buhari done? It's either u don't know your history or you are willingly blind to it.

Nice, but I don't think anything can come close to the Avengers franchise. That's like the World Cup for super heroes and heroines.

I can understand the disappointments with Endgame.

Expectations were so high coming from a highly action packed Infinity War.

Since this franchise has come to an end, what is then left of Marvel Comics?

Well, the topic asked have you ever had to break up with an amazing partner and why. They didn't say we should write our life history.

Also, when i wrote peace up there, I explained the type of peace i was talking about- he didn't cheat. I didn't say he was giving me peace of God. So i don't know what's confusing there.

Your funny friend was doing her best to get more from me. I was just laughing from my end.

Lol, so you expected me to tell her if I found someone else. Like seriously, won't that sound pathetic?

Fear, about what exactly? You think I just saw a beautiful relationship and felt like throwing it away? The funny thing is when you read write ups of people with 'logic', they sound like bitter people with mental issues. Like your friend up there.

Answer sincerely, are you always 100 percent sure of your decisions? Of course not. It is one of the reasons they say faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

The Bible also said if you know what you're doing is wrong and you keep doing it, it is a sin unto you. You folks just claim Christianity without knowing anything about it.

You guys are trying to get more insight into my life. But sorry, I'm not that open. The little I've shared, be content with it.
This is the issue here I believe, you gave a story and didn't shed more light on it this, leaving everyone to guessing and hypothesis.

Another communication gap is when you said he gave you peace of mind and at the same time insinuating that he was/could lead you to sin.

Alas! I saw my answer in your third paragraph.

It's well, the goal is to be happy inside God's will. I wish you the best.

I've been reading a lot of comments. It's sad to say that a lot of people aren't emotionally mature to handle relationships and bow out at the slightest turbulence..
I mean, look at this one who broke up with his gf because her parents dont allow her come out. Just that. The most painful thing is that these people end up breaking the hearts of innocent people who in turn, will further punish the next person who dares to fall in love with them.
People always tend to believe that there's something better out there. Sometimes, it's just an illusion, so, they are never contented or satisfied, they continue to move from one relationship to the other, some say it's the thrill of the chase.

A story is told of a General who took his troops to a battle, after crossing the bridge that led to the enemy's camp, he cut it off. He told his troops that there's no going back and they have to fight to stay alive.

If people adopt this mentality especially in good relationships we will have less of this philandering.

Lest I forget, anyone who thinks that there exists a perfect individual especially in character is self delusional. They key is to manage self and the other hence the need for emotional intelligence.

There's no Eldorado anywhere, it's an utopia, but we can create one ourselves especially with love as described in 1st Corinthians 13.

Anything other than this, people will continue to chase peace and love and it will elude them till their bones is laid in the dust.

Exactly what They wanted.. she, Her mom, and dad. But truth is I can’t do that unless I have finally decided she is the one I want to marry.

And you know why I can’t make final decision yet? Because I don’t know her yet. For someone I see only like once (4 hours) in 3 month. We talk mostly on WhatsApp and calls for three years. I can count how many times we were together.

Take note, I have visited this girls family on a Christmas before... so her siblings and parents knows me. I don’t want to start creating the impression of marriage and now disappoint everyone when I now see something I don’t like.

But I can’t settle with someone without a mind of theirs. The parent has full control over her.

We still talk though. When ever she can now make decisions for herself, fine. We pick it up from there. If she meet someone else too, fine. Congrats to her.

A 25 year old girls done with NYSC still under her father’s roof and struck obligations? A 25 year old girl without a life outside of her home.

I am willing to take advice from you. Just suggest something.
If you were my brother, I would advise you to go back to her. See, in this day and age we have sheep's moving without shepherd, they are bound to be eaten by wolves and lions.

Her parents are doing what a fire does to Gold, they are purifying her so that when she finally comes out, she will be the best there is.

I'm hoping you don't have bad plans for with regards sex and co, but if you have good intentions, be patient, at the end you would be glad you did.

At 20 many don't even listen to their parents, she's a graduate done with service and still sees her parents like a god, she will take that humility and respect to the next house she enters, hopefully her husband's house.

Don't let her go, you have a jewel at hand, just be a little patient.

You're countering yourself.
You dated a guy who gave you peace.
People who are really in Christ give peace.
Do you see you've not made a point?
And what's so special about being a virgin anyway? I am. And I don't feel a tad special.
Babe, I hope your case is not a classic story of "my pastor said"?
Because as I've observed the more religious a person becomes the less logic they apply to issues.
I have been following her comments from the first page and like you said, she just didn't justify leaving that guy, she couldn't make any point after you asked if she has found such peace in any brother.

I can't tell if a "Daddy" or "mummy" influenced her decision but I could sense fear was the main reason she left the guy. Like you said, people get less logical as they get very religious and it makes you wonder if God did a bad job giving us wisdom.

I know we have to trust in the Lord, and seek him but many a times we already have the answers to our questions. That's why he gave us the Holy Spirit, to guide us to all truth, and he the Holy Spirit lives in us.
