Mkolayinka: One sided story from the British mail that tends to put us (Africans) down. Thanks for the detailed unbalanced reportage from British media. It is an open secret that the old man from Zimbabwe bruised the Western power's ego for a long time with his land redistribution policy. Mugabe resisted for such a long time though the economy paid dearly for it. They made mention of the Chinese, USA and UK have not been able to partake in the constant rape of Zimbabwe. So they are envious of the Chinese making in road into their old territories. My joy is that the people of Zimbabwe were able to solve their problems without the western connivance. Let the imperialists hold their poisonous chalice. Can we forget so soon how their interventions made Iraq and Libya become failed states. Leave Africans alone to solve our problems. Since the turn of the century, Africans are becoming more stable politically. So let us learn at our pace with our home grown democracy.
The west have no business with Zimbabwe. They don't mine anything there. Stop making the west more powerful than they are.
China is the one calling the shots in Zimbabwe with regards to their resources. They have a lot to gain than the west.
martynsnet: if he's got a recipe, he should share it.
The recipe is to marry an exceptionally brilliant woman, if possible a genius if you want genius kids. I don't think a child can rise above the intelligence of its mother. And it has nothing to do with literacy.
It has been scientifically proven that the woman contributes far more genetically to a child's inherited IQ than the father.
lollypeezle: Victor Moses played well last season but that shouldn't earn him African best player. i don't support mediocrity.
Sadio Mane, Pierre Aubameyang and Mohammed Salah all outclassed him for the year even though some has no trophy to show for it.
I think the reason Victor Moses is being hailed of recent is because he outperformed his previous performance, he played a bit better than how he always do. That's all
Why did Ronaldo win the Ballon dor over messi this year if not for trophies won?
The award is not for the best player. The award is for the most accomplished player with significant impact in the given year in review.
Moses was in the first team, a major componenet of the 3-4-3 that went on 13 straight wins and won the league.
How can you say he doesn't deserve it? you know ball at all?
Henryyy: Linda Ikeji, no matter how drunk she may be, will never utter this poo you just did. It is only in her dreams she can make even half of what seun makes. Lmao awon chest beaters tun ti de o. The difference between Seun(Yoruba) and Linda(Igbo) is that one is a silent money bag while the other thinks blowing a broken whistle means you are the bigger person. Last I checked, Nairaland is worth at least 2X more than Linda and her entire blog combined. Being wealthy is not by show off or having an ugly annoying sibling blow a nonexistent whistle for you on the internet. Some people (Yorubas) just don't like noise.
lol. Yorubas are the king of noise. Where do you think owmabe came from?
Linda Ikeji earns far more in months than seun does in a year. That is a fact.
You came here to type trash about KDB flopping at Chelsea, then in the same sentence told us that KDB made assist in the 1st match JM gave him. Not only did he make assist but he was voted MOTM. And in his 2nd match, he also did well. After that he was not handed start again. So when we tell you it is politics, you can take that to the bank.
You made a rubbish post about KDB flopping at Chelsea to fit your 2017 Hazard vs KDB argument that has nothing to do with the reality of how KDB played in 2013 so sensible people have to pull your card on it.
As for the other stuff you typed about JM not playing politics, let Lukaku go 5 matches with no goal and see whether Rashford will pick no9 shirt, then come back and talk about politics.
KDB was the best player on the pitch with the little opportunities he was given in 2013. Don't come here to tell us lies to fit your other arguments.
Damn. That picture makes me teary. Chelsea don throw away many class players sha. He could have added that extra lethality that only hazard currently provides. And he came for peanuts. smh.
He has a point though. West Africa is a perilous terrain. Too many dark interests at play. Nigeria is too endowed to just sleep on the Bicycle. Even the natural assets in our seas is enough reason to invest in the military.
TSOM: Chivalry is a means to an end. Be vague, be smooth ( super smooth), be curt when you should be but never let any woman take you for granted.
Talk that talk, walk that walk but never be predictable or do what every other guy does.
Once you master words and its power, you could become a nice guy with a 'bad boy' persona.
Women never take Misters Nice Guy seriously, ever.
That is a shame though, because that is exactly who they need for the long haul . Human beings are always extreme. You are either too nice or too brash. And being too nice is the better option 10 times out of 10.
I am not a nice guy but I want to learn to be nice. Time don reach na.
Mccullum: 1.4% too poor for developing country? yet appreciating economy is better than depreciating... slowly and steadily Nigeria's economy is growing... that's good it might not be excellent.
PMB & PYO are working!
Developing countries grow at the rate of 5% atleast. That is because there is a lot of avenues for growth unlike Developed Economies. China grew for over 15% consistently in 10-20 years before they became an economic powerhouse. Nigeria as at 2014 was growing at the rate of 6-7%. Even then, it was too small.
elrony: How was he your best wing talent?.. Empirical and verifiable evidence on a post card please!
Empirical evidence for a player that was not a given a real crack at Chelsea by our dumb fucck of an ex-manager.? His Empirical evidence is in Germany. You know the same Empirical evidence that made Christiansen our best defensive young talent even before he arrived from Monchegladbach.
I played myself by making a honest mistake because my mind was on something else.? You take football too seriously for your health. You need psychiatric help.
funlord: The piglet has realized his folly and started backtracking...he probably thought he was discussing soccer around his usual gathering of igbo puffing, tombo drinking mama put dwelling fellow analysts....all these complete sports alumni members wey dey form true blue sef!
After I pummeled you and your fellow manure scum on the useless Lukaku hype, anything would do for you to take a cheap shot.
Ibime: Greatihex and anyone who liked his post are fools. Just because they did not know how to watch football in 2013 does not mean some of us didn't. KDB arrived here as YPOTY in Germany, rated higher than the likes of Kroos, Gotze, Alaba etc. He arrived a top footballer and left a top footballer. He started 2 EPL games for Chelsea only of which he was MOTM in one, the other a good performance in a creditable draw away at Manure. What drove KDB out was politics and poor squad planning just like Lukaku and Sturridge. If KDB was bought for €35m he would have been treated fairly. The 3 political issues that drove KDB out of Chelsea were
1.) Mourinho was trying to get rid of a club legend Mata and needed a star name like Oscar to do it. Mourinho already set the political play in motion before season start by saying "Brazil no 10 is my no 10". It was pure politics. KDB did not have a big enough profile to be used for such political play.
2.) The club pursued Emenalo policy of buying too many £20m+ wingers. A manager is immediately under pressure to protect such assets and justify the club purchase of those players. There were 6 wingers/AMs competing for 3 positions. Whether you like it or not, your price tage determines the consideration you are given in such scenario. Now consider that Hazard is already locked in and Oscar is already locked in because of the political play with Mata. That leaves 4 players competing for 1 position (Mata, Willian, Schurrle and KDB), of which JM has to keep the fans onside by giving some minutes to club legend Mata even if he doesn't want to start him
3.) The final reason was partly political and partly tactical. The club had pursued a policy of understaffing the midfield due to Emenalos favouritism of Mikel and Ramires. In such a situation, JMs 3rd AM had to be Willian so that his workrate can help balance a midfield unfit for purpose. Willian became the chosen 3rd AM due to deficiencies on other parts of the team ie midfield which further squeezed out Debruyne.
Those who know how to watch football knew Debruyne was a crack player. Me and Nateevs have been raving about him before he returned to Chelsea and anticipating his return. I already had him as one of my favourite AM back then. Debruyne was a star in Germany before he returned and he was a star again the minute he left Chelsea. Greatihex is just typing nonsense to suit his argument. That summer he left Chelsea, Debruyne was one of the best players at tbe World Cup.
Below is one of only 2 EPL games Debruyne started at Chelsea. He was doing the exact same things he is doing now, the exact same things he did the season before that had him crowned best young player in Germany, a league that was crawling with the worlds best young talent. If you say Debruyne did not know how to play ball in 2013, then you are a newcomer to football.
Nothing else to add. Mouriho wrecked Chelsea in his second coming. He basically neutered us when we could have been a footballing superpower right now.
There will never be any reason good enough for losing an established talent like KDB.
funlord: No lukaku is the foot balling coefficient of morata sef? Stop trying to wriggle out of your supernatural display of duncery and answer elrony's question!
How do you include a buy back clause with a player on loan? ....ogogoro analyst!
1.4%. Too poor for a developing country. Those are numbers that should be expected for an economy that has already climaxed like the US or UK, not a developing country.
plavic: Indeed, barca, ajax, Man utd and PSV scouts were present to watch him over the weekend in belgium but that's about all they did. No concrete negotiations are going on.
Besides, the only websites reporting a negotiation between barca and everton on Onyekuru are nigerian websites only unlike the other news about Juventus and Atletico interest being reported by UK sites.
I wish him the best but even if barca were to be interested, he shouldn't take the leap. That's a career heading in the wrong direction. He should set his sites on regular first team shirts with everton.
A JOURNEY OF A THOUSAND MILES STARTS WITH ONE STEP.
