I don't take Russian propaganda sites serious. Yes, Russia is formidable, but not unbeatable when push comes to shove. Such bogus exaggeration is unnecessary. |
honeychild:Who are these tribes you are talking about? In which agenda are you getting these ''tribes''? |
honeychild:Who is co-opting anybody? Do you know something I don't? How is this co-opting taking place? with which military? |
abobakucannibal:He is not even a unifying leader that evokes patriotism in people. Putin as bad as he is, is a unifier of Russia both in words and actions. The buhari we have here just talks a lot of junks, does a lot of junks, and still expects unity. |

RALPHOW:And buhari is the one to give you that foundation? Have you seen what he budgeted for agriculture? Look at his ministers from the beret wearing dalung to kemi to lai- are these the guys to give you a solid foundation?. You are just suffering in vain. |

thesicilian:Look bro, I don't give a hoot about your one naijeria. It is not a union based on rationality or common sense. Don't preach to me, preach to buhari. |
thesicilian:Mere words can not create one naijeria. |
Me Prefers the NAVY. Want to sail on one of those US destroyers and kick some Chinese as$. |

Now tell me why anybody would expect this kind of a person to look out for Igbo interests in the spirit of one naijeria. He just cannot hide his bigotry and he gets away with it because Nigeria is a hopeless shitthole with no mutually agreed governing norms and values. He is like a third world Donald trump, who unfortunately has third world voters in his corner. |
Mrsprof:According to him, they are not his people . He is just their president sworn to enforce one naijeria down their throats. ![]() You cannot get a worse leader anywhere else in this world . The old man is a comic or a cartoon character. |
Just look at a supposed president . Words truly fail me.He deserves all the hate he is getting. |
hakanai:When you have an IRAN spoiling for the eradication of the state of Israel as if the people in isreal are cockroaches. And to make it worse, IRAN is developing nuclear weapons which it has openly claim she wants to use in wiping out the state of isreal from existence. Sorry, IRAN needs to be monitored, and thank God America is rising up to the challenge. |
MILFangela:US was flying 12 miles into international waters. Any attempt by iran would be provocative and an act of war. |
Donald Trump warned that he would order the Navy to open fire on Iranian boats that provoke American ships, days after a high-seas incident that ended peacefully. When the GOP presidential nominee laid out his plan to modernize the military during a Friday night rally in Pensacola, Fla., he took an aside to address his posture toward Iran. "With Iran, when they circle our beautiful destroyers with their little boats and they make gestures at our people that they shouldn't be allowed to make, they will be shot out of the water," Trump said to loud cheers. Rally-goers could be heard shouting "shoot them" as Trump wound up. This week, the Pentagon said seven Iranian attack boats harassed an American destroyer in the Persian Gulf. Trump has taken a tough posture on Iran from the beginning of his campaign, slamming the Iran deal as a failure and blasting America's response to a January incident when Iran briefly detained American sailors who accidentally crossed into Iranian waters. But he wouldn't go as far when discussing another international incident where a Russian fighter flew at a U.S. surveillance airplane. "Putin laughs, believe me, he laughs at our leaders and takes us to the cleaners again and again," he said. "Yesterday, we had a plane, he had jets circling the plane. They were as close as 10 feet away - taunting us, toying with us - just like Iran." Trump said earlier in the speech he would try to work with the Russians on fighting terrorism and batted down criticism of too-friendly relation between him and Vladimir Putin. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-i-would-shoot-confrontational-iranian-ships/ar-AAiItNd?ocid=iehp |
seunny4lif:US will not enter an airspace without due reason. Which is why those nuclear bombers were a warning signal to NK. If NK attempt an escalation, then US would invade and cripple whatever defences they have forever and nobody would do jack. And secondly, Russia is a formidable nation-true. And the US would not risk an encounter over a flimsy nation as NK and without due course and without proper military strategy and allies formation. It is only a matter of time. |

Iran threatened to shoot down two US Navy surveillance aircraft flying close to Iranian territory in the Persian Gulf over the weekend, the latest in a series of recent provocations between Iran and the US military in the region, three US defense officials with knowledge of the incident told Fox News. On Sept. 10, a Navy P-8 Poseidon with a crew of nine and an EP-3 Eries with a crew of roughly 24, were flying a reconnaissance mission 13 miles off the coast of Iran, in the Strait of Hormuz and Gulf of Oman, according to officials. Iran’s territorial waters—like all nations--extend 12 miles into the sea, according to international maritime law. At some point during the flight, the Iranian military warned the two aircraft to change course or risk getting shot down. The US military planes ignored the warning and continued flying in international airspace, although close to Iranian territory, the officials told Fox. “We wanted to test the Iranian reaction,” one US official told Fox News when asked why the US jets were flying close to Iran. “It’s one thing to tell someone to get off your lawn, but we weren’t on their lawn,” the official continued. “Anytime you threaten to shoot someone down, it’s not considered professional.” The official said the Iranian behavior was characterized as “unprofessional.” Another official said the incident was not considered “unsafe” because there were no Iranian missile launchers in the area, according to the latest intelligence reports The latest incident between the US military and Iran is just the latest in a series of confrontations in region. Last month, Iranian fast-boats harassed US Navy warships in the Persian Gulf on at least five occasions. One incident resulting in three warning shots being fired from a US Navy coastal patrol craft, when an Iranian vessel ignored repeated radio calls to change course. On another occasion, an Iranian boat stopped 100 yards in front of a US Navy ship forcing it to take evasive maneuvers. Over the weekend, a senior Iranian military commander dismissed claims that his vessels had harassed US Navy ships in in the Persian Gulf saying his nation acted in accordance with internationally recognized maritime law. "Iranian boats continue to act based on defined standards and are well aware of the international laws and regulations, so the claims are not only untrue, but stem from their fear of the power of Iran's soldiers," said Brigadier General Masoud Jazayeri, deputy chief of staff of Iran's armed forces, according to state news agency IRNA and reported by AFP. Dangerous interactions at sea between Iran and the US Navy have doubled in the first half of 2016 compared to the same time last year, Fox News first reportedlast month. On Aug. 30, the head of US forces in the Middle East was asked to explain Iran’s perceived aggressiveness. “This is principally the regime leadership trying to exert their influence and authority in the region. And they are trying to do it in provocative ways,” said Gen. Joe Votel, commander of US Central Command at a Pentagon press briefing. In July, days after the one-year anniversary of the nuclear agreement, Iran attempted at least their fourth ballistic missile test in violation of a UN Security Council resolution tied to the nuclear agreement. In January, Iran took 10 US Navy sailors captive after their two patrol boats traveled into Iranian waters before releasing them 16 hours later. In December, an Iranian missile boat fired several unguided rockets close to a US Navy aircraft carrier transiting the Strait of Hormuz. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/iran-threatened-to-shoot-down-us-navy-spy-planes-in-the-persian-gulf/ar-AAiOVfh?li=BBnb7Kz&ocid=iehp |

The United States and Israel have reached final agreement on a record new package of at least $38 billion in U.S. military aid and the 10-year pact is expected to be signed within days, sources close to the matter told Reuters on Tuesday. The deal will represent the biggest pledge of U.S. military assistance ever made to any country but also includes major concessions granted by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to officials on both sides. Those include Israel’s agreement not to seek additional funds from Congress beyond what will be guaranteed annually in the new package, and also to phase out a special arrangement that has allowed Israel to spend part of its U.S. aid on its own defence industry instead of on American-made weapons, the officials said. Drawn-out aid negotiations have underscored continuing friction between U.S. President Barack Obama and Netanyahu over last year's U.S.-led nuclear deal with Iran, Israel's arch-foe. The United States and Israel have also been at odds over the Palestinians. But the right-wing Israeli leader decided it would be best to forge a new arrangement with Obama, who leaves office in January, rather than hoping for better terms from the next U.S. administration, according to officials on both sides. A deal now allows him to avoid uncertainties surrounding the next president, whether Democrat Hillary Clinton or Republican Donald Trump, and to give Israel’s defence establishment the ability to plan ahead. Obama's aides want a new deal before his presidency ends, seeing it as an important part of his legacy. Republican critics accuse him of not being attentive enough to Israel's security, which the White House strongly denies. MISSILE DEFENCE The deal, known as a memorandum of understanding, or MOU, calls for atleast $3.8 billion a year in aid, up from $3.1 billion annually under the current pact, which expires in 2018, officials say. Netanyahu had originally sought upwards of $4.5 billion a year. The new package for the first time will incorporate money for Israeli missile defence, which until now has been funded ad hoc by Congress. U.S. lawmakers have in recent years given Israel up to $600 million in annual discretionary funds for this purpose. Officials say Israel has agreed not to lobby Congress for additional missile defence funds during the life of the new MOU, a pledge expected to be made in a side letter or annex to the agreement. But the wording is likely to be flexible enough to allow exceptions in case of a war or other major crisis. Barring a last-minute snag, the new agreement is expected to be officially rolled out within days, possibly as early as this week, one source close to the matter said. Another source familiar with the negotiations confirmed that the signing would be "in the coming days". It will not be signed by Obama and Netanyahu, who have had a fraught relationship, but instead by lower-ranking officials, in keeping with the way the two governments have formally sealed previous deals of this type. Netanyahu gave ground on several major points. He conceded to a U.S. demand for a gradual phasing-out of the amount of aid money - now 26.3 percent - that Israel can spend on its own military industries rather than on American products. The provision originated in the 1980s to help Israel build up its defence industry, which is now a major global player. Netanyahu also agreed to end Israel’s use of 13 percent of the U.S. money on military fuel purchases, officials said. Obama and Netanyahu will both be in New York next week for the opening of the U.N. General Assembly, and officials have not ruled out the possibility of a meeting on the sidelines. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/record-new-us-military-aid-deal-for-israel-to-be-signed-in-days-sources/ar-AAiPOjK?li=BBnbfcL&ocid=iehp |
EzeNri:I hope you know south korea has American F-16s, F-35s, tanks and other weapons. A squadron of F-35s would destroy everything NK has to offer in the air. Forget what you are saying. Nukes is the only thing SK should fear in NK. |
EternalTruths:Possibly. South Korea has a more sophisticated technological base and a much prosperous economy. They have no nukes unfortunately, which kim jong un would like to use, and that is where US comes in- to give south korea a nuclear cover. |
EternalTruths:And the thing is their nukes is even pretty basic technology. IT Would get shot down before it leaves north korea. And America would then rain hell fire on them as retaliation. |
US be like ''Touch South korea and die in a nuclear armageddon''. ![]() It is indeed a privilege and a great honour to be under America's protective wings. No force on earth can threaten that cover. |
OSAN AIR BASE, South Korea (AP) — The United States on Tuesday sent two nuclear-capable supersonic bombers streaking over ally South Korea in a show of force meant to cow North Korea after its recent nuclear test and also to settle rattled nerves in the South. The B-1B bombers, escorted by U.S. and South Korean jets, were seen by an Associated Press photographer as they flew over Osan Air Base, which is 120 kilometers (75 miles) from the border with North Korea, the world's most heavily armed. The bombers were likely to return to Andersen Air Force Base in Guam, without landing in South Korea. Such flyovers are common when always high animosity rises on the Korean Peninsula, which is technically in a state of war as there has never been a peace treaty to officially end the 1950-53 Korean War. South Korea does not have nuclear weapons and relies on the U.S. "nuclear umbrella" as a deterrent to North Korea. Washington also stations more than 28,000 troops in the South, and tens of thousands more in Japan. North Korea is keenly aware of the U.S. presence on the peninsula and of what it considers the U.S. nuclear threat. It uses such flyovers and the American military influence in the South in its propaganda as alleged proof of U.S. hostility that it claims as the reason it needs a nuclear bomb program. Last week's nuclear test, the North's fifth, was its most powerful to date. Pyongyang's claim to have used "standardized" warheads in the detonation makes some outsiders worry that it is making headway in its push to develop small, sophisticated warheads that can be mounted on missiles that can reach the U.S. mainland. Nuclear expert Siegfried Hecker, who has regularly visited the North's nuclear facilities, estimates the North may have enough nuclear fuel for about 20 bombs by the end of 2016 and the ability to add about seven new bombs a year. "Left unchecked, Pyongyang will likely develop the capability to reach the continental United States with a nuclear tipped missile in a decade or so," Siegfried wrote on the North Korea-focused website 38 North. He said that more troubling was the recent test successes may give Pyongyang a false sense of confidence. Six-nation diplomatic talks aimed at ridding the North of its bombs have been stalled since the last round of meetings in late 2008. Since then, Pyongyang has ramped up both its ballistic missile and nuclear bomb development, despite an increasing raft of sanctions. After the test, the North's nuclear weapons institute said it will take unspecified measures to further boost its nuclear capability, which analysts said hinted at a possible sixth nuclear test. South Korea's Defense Ministry said Monday that South Korean and U.S. intelligence authorities believe North Korea has the ability to detonate another atomic device at any time at one of its tunnels at its main Punggye-ri nuclear test site, where the five previous atomic explosions took place. Ministry officials refused to say what specific evidence pointed to another possible nuclear test. Seoul, Washington and their allies have vowed to apply more pressure and sanctions after the test, the second this year. "The United States and (South Korea) are taking actions every day to strengthen our alliance and respond to North Korea's continued aggressive behavior," Gen. Vincent Brooks, commander of U.S. Forces Korea, said in a statement. Sung Kim, the U.S. special envoy for North Korean policy, met South Korean officials in Seoul on Tuesday and said that Washington is working closely with other nations to work out new, stronger sanctions on North Korea. In yet another tough statement against North Korea, South Korea's President Park Geun-hye on Tuesday ordered her military to be ready to "finish off" North Korea if it fires a nuclear missile toward South Korea. She already said North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's "mental state is spiraling out of control" and that his government shows "fanatic recklessness." http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/us-flies-bombers-over-skorea-in-show-of-force-against-north/ar-AAiOUp6?li=BBnbfcL&ocid=iehp |
