bobod:Independence and yoruba in the same sentence is alien. .There is no evidence of that even in Nigeria's pre/post colonial history. |
Missy89:How they came in is irrelevant. The fact is that they came in. And that is because there is no detterence. Given this effontery, it is rational to assume they have the will to invade our airspace WHEN they get a decent fighter. Four units of SU-34 stationed at the akwa-cross area, would have scared the daylights out of them regardless of if they fancy air or land invasion. |
Missy89. Nigeria does not need air superiority fighters? Well, here is what i was talking about. cc, shymm3x. |
ol' boy jim iyke has been there and done that. ![]() |
Adaure4ever:And do what? Is he going to be allowed to restructure the country on the part of fiscal federalism and give the nation a fighting chance? We all know the answer to the question. That country is hopeless, and an igbo presidency would serve as nothing but calculated blackmail on igbo people by the born to rule folks.. |
I don't think they need it. It is the exclusive preserve of ex-coupists and blood- thirsty mad men who are supposed to be locked up in a psychiatric hospital in any western nation. Which is also why the biafran agitation is understandable. Allowing nitwits and paedophiles to decide your future is a terrible thing. |

I am not surprised. The fact that he still has pockets of igbo supporters on nairaland and even in igboland is what bothers me. Your people are being slaughtered by an unfeeling mad man and yet you still write epistles in support of him. How do these guys sleep at night? The likes of joe igbokwe, obiagelli, and even okorocha are truely bizarre ,and unfortunately command a bit of influence. |

slap1:Backed by the entire Nigerian political establishment which is mostly northern anyway, dangote will get an unmerited advantage as usual. Anyway,Patronize yours and let them patronize theirs. Dangote has no stake in the east, so i expect some of his non-essesential products to undergo some sort of boycott atleast to a substantial extent in the south east if the people have any bit of sense. Innoson is a private business run by an igbo man, i am certain it would remain very sustainable and profitable in the long run. |
chigoizie7:Okay i think just read through the whole story now. I was thinking it was one of those useless girls pregnant for their boyfriends under their parents roofs stories that i hear about everyday. Her case is very pecuilar and sad. I wish her the best. |
Nitwit. The parents are better off anyway. Yeye pikin. If it were my kid, i'd disown her immediately. Don't have the time or the patience for useless children whose only priority in life is the size of a male organ. |

NobleAngell:Who is ''us''? And how much good have ''US'' done better than igbos in Nigeria? |
. |
Emmahunk:And you were not here when these same people on nairaland were egging the Nigerian military on in slaughtering innocent protesters in igboland, asking for their human rights. I can show you threads where many of them have asked for the annihilation of the igbo ethnic group, with many of these people insulting amnesty international when they manage to speak up. Well,Violence has a way of coming back full cycle. And Nigeria is a country of savages. I have learnt to expect anything and not be surprised. |
A sensible woman would definitely not support this. It is just akin to setting back the gender-equality struggle by decades. Most Women would probably end up unemployable, and the female/male ratio in the workplace would further decrease significantly.. |
PentiumPro:Are you alright? What is warped about my post? Was awolowo not jailed for treason? Was murtala muhammed not a blood thirsty tyrant? Are these guys not supposed heroes to your yoruba people? I am not one to celebrate ironsi. He was not different from the rest of the mad men that governed Nigeria's affairs ,many of whom you still celebrate like a hypocrite. Get out of my face till you grow some brain cells. |
PentiumPro:But everything he supposedly did have been replicated by your past leaders in a million fold, many of whom you still worship today. Awolowo was jailed for treason against Nigeria and he is still worshipped by the SW. Murtala mahammed was a blood thirsty tyrant who slaughtered many Nigerians and yet he is still recognized as a national hero today. Buhari your president who not only was he a notorious coup plotter, worked for one of the most corrupt leaders to ever live-abacha and even gave him a clean slate. Are you seeing the ironies? I hope you are not too dumb to realize it. |
PentiumPro:ermmm... You were discussing why you believe he shouldn't be honoured. And the reasons you gave are present in your heroes ,buhari and awolowo. That is what happens when you play tribalism without the basic intelligence to do it well. |
What rubbish. Is there anything like southern Nigeria? |
PentiumPro:But buhari was a coup plotter, and awolowo was a chief traitor and was jailed for treason by the Nigerian state. These are entities you worship in your neck of woods. |
darkenedrebel:I actually believe it is easier. Unlike Nigeria, You don't have utterly sadistic lecturers that you need to hold church vigils for in harvard. As long as you have a SPARK OF GENIUS, a 4.0 GP in harvard should be very possible. |
Perpetuating the image of slum-africa. Why these guys keep doing that i will never know. |
tosyne2much:nah. Everybody in school is a scholar of sorts. Just had good mentors and read the right texts. |
Sweetlemon:Tanzania is a poor country. Much poorer than Nigeria. I am not one to support jonathan, but atleast don't give retardded arguments to support buhari. |
Impressive feat. First class students are probably the only ones that can fully understand depth of this achievement as every single first class graduate have had dreams of such heights. Atleast i knew i did. Had 5.0 in my 100 levels, wanted to repeat it in 200 level but got a couple of B's in strength of materials and ENS. Gave up hope of graduating with 5.0 in engineering . Though i repeated the 5.0 feat again in my finals and graduated as the overall best student in engineering, but the ''damage'' had already been done . |
Is francis drilling this old lady? ![]() |
Patience and hope is all it requires. Nigeria is not blessed with leaders that know how to play the chess game and avoid an irrevocable mistake. It is only a matter of time. |
femidejulius:And if i ask you to defend your one naijeria stance and how it is better for ndi-igbo than if they pursue their own destiny, you would end up giving me alcohol -induced, oluwole theories. You and your people can chose one naijeria. Nobody cares. Trying to decide or foster your own pecuilar desires on a great and educated ethnic like the igbo is insulting. |
