You dey mind dem!

Naija people sometimes conjure up things and start fighting it out of frustration.
grin
But your buhari lapped it up and did not bother to deny it before the elections.
What of the so-called 100 day pledge that APC released to unsuspecting Nigerians.
No single one of them have been fulfilled.
APC did not even pity the geriatic president before releasing a 100 day fantastic pledge as part of its manifestos.
Of course, i don't blame buhari.
He does not have the charisma or the brainpower to fulfill 99% of the APC manifesto.
I blame APC instead.

oh my goodness.
I don't know if i should laugh or cry for Nigeria.
Let me keep watching the old man and his northern friends in govt.
It will take a lot for any of buhari's actions to surprise me.

So because Ogun State is more educationally advanced than Sokoto State, Sokoto shouldn't have a minister? Go do the assignment I gave you.
If this is what you can derive from my post, then you really need comprehension lessons.
Anyway,Continue your quota system cum federal character, buhari will come and go and you people will still be shouting for change.

Oga we like to deal with facts, pls post yours here and not assumptions
I have posted fact which you have ignored for irrelevancies.
The civil service is dominated by northern staffs- that is a fact.
The military is dominated by northern staffs- that is a fact.
The govt is dominated by northern staffs- that is a fact.

Is perm secs now a political appointment? isn't it by civil service? what about the quota system of government? What is the cut off marks for education in the north vs the south. You apc people are the devil they are telling us about
The same people who need a cutoff mark of 2 to gain admission will grow up and dominate our govt and civil service, while those who need a whooping 170 to even get look-in will be systematically marginalized.
And some people are okay with that?
Nigerians are not serious yet.

I have an assignment for you, go find out the difference(s) between quota system and federal character. You may add Educationally Less Developed States (ELDS). Do that, then we'll discuss.
Federal character is also a quota based system.
It aim is to satisfy those who ordinarily would not get anything in a merit based society.
Federal character would give a ministerial post to sokoto at the expense of ogun even if the ogun indigene is far more qualified.

Politics › Re: Buhari The North And The True Picture Of Nigeria's Federal Government Structure. by CSTR2: 9:47am On Aug 29, 2015
The north cannot even educate their girl child with millions given over to almajirism, while the SE has more female enrollment in schools than boys.
Now it is obvious who should dominate in a merit based society.
Politics › Re: Buhari The North And The True Picture Of Nigeria's Federal Government Structure. by CSTR2: 9:44am On Aug 29, 2015
OrlandoOwoh:
So Federal Character doesn't apply in the civil service? You make me laugh. You speak of Federal Character only when it's to your advantage.
Stop deceiving yourself.
The federal character itself was designed to help the north stay relevant due to their educational disadvantage.
If we decide to use merit, the north would be grossly underrepresented in govt.
There is no possible way the south will not completely dominate if merit is the aim.
Politics › Re: Buhari The North And The True Picture Of Nigeria's Federal Government Structure. by CSTR2: 9:40am On Aug 29, 2015
Obiagelli:
Let me get this straight, sunnyb0b0 says there's absolute merit in the civil service and you say it is dominated by northerners with southern heads, how does that work?
Merit in the Nigerian context is skewed.
The civil service allocated slots to both the south and the north.
The north gets the majority of the allocated positions and is usually given to children of northern elites and their friends and colleagues and whoever they feel like giving who must be a northerner of course.
The very significantly reduced slots allocated to the south is fiercely contested with all kinds of interviews and tests and is somewhat merit based.
This is what plays out in every single govt agency especially the military and customs.

Even with the obvious domination of our various arms of arms of govts and agencies that even the north knows and brags about .
Someone still had to go up and get a somewhat skewed list of the few agencies headed by southerners but completed dominated by northerners anyway..
The same southern heads that are getting replaced by northerners already.
I give up.
Some people can not be helped.
Producing a counter post would be a waste of time.
The urge to defend buhari will override any sense of rationality for our resident buharists.
I am out of here.

If really you're waiting for his campaign promises why bothering yourself with his appointments?
His appointments determine how effective his govt will be .
Appointing northern nobodies with no proven track record can not be good for the fulfillment of his manifesto.
Anyway, you have a point. We will have to wait and see anyway.
Something good may magically come out of daura, and i hope for buhari's sake it works.
There will be consequences if it dosen't.

Buhari shocked many when he selected a relatively unknown man as his running mate, the current Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo. Interestingly, the running mate selected turned out to be a Pastor!

Dogara who emerged as the speaker is a christian.

Babachir Lawal has been appointed into the powerful position in the Federation as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. The engine room of the government of the day. This appointment also shocked many as the man is relatively unknown.

Babachir is a Christian and also a Pastor! The implication of this is that we now have a Pastor as the Vice President and a Pastor as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. The Speaker of the House of Representatives is also a Christian.

Can it still be said that PMB is pursuing an Islamic agenda??

I can see that most people who were shouting islamization has piped down and are now screaming "northern agenda!"

By the time the remaining appointments balances out the distribution, i'll be waiting to see what wailers will wail about next. smiley
Stop trying to campaign for buhari, mr man.
Elections are over.
Even if the old man islamize Nigeria, there is nothing we can do about it now.
We are waiting for him to fulfill his campaign promises, and not all this gibberish you are posting here.

1) All things are never equal and would never be
2) Germany won the world cup without Messi, C. Ronaldo and Suarez (the three best players in the world)

The sum is greater than the parts.
Your football analogy is not proper here but i will still allow it.
Germany may have not have those three players, but they have a team made of players nearly close to messi in quality in virtually every position.
Argentina, portugal, and uruguay have one or two world class players in the league of suarez and then a whole bunch of mediocres.
It is no wonder why they didn't win the world cup.
Nigeria too have one or two world class technocrats and a whole bunch of northern mediocres.
Great countries were built by a solid team of first class patriotic minds.
