I seriously doubt that. A serious govt would have a clear policy direction by now bearing in mind he has only four years there. Foreign investments for example have dropped by a whoopiing 54% due to lack of direction and crediblke economic policy. For a govt that tout itself as anti-corrupt, the huge drop in foreign investments is surprising. |

I think he should just move on and not b done to spoil d babe's name in d presence of her family(who would hav trusted her as a goooood gal),she would expose her own self soon.. I wonder. Who gives a fucck about what the girl's family will think? As long as they can't force me to marry their daughter, then their opinion is irrelevant. |

Why will any sane individual open a thread for this nonsense?. The facts in play are as clear as daylight. You wanted to marry a whoree ,fortunately, you found out that she is a whoree unlike thousands of unfortunate Nigerian men married to whorees and fathering bastards. Dump her immediately and thank your ancestors for not abandoning you to the whims of a whoree. |

EVarn: exactly what I thought.Let us scrap any plans to procure jf-17s,we should go for the russian yak-130 advanced trainer/ground attack aircraft; though relatively untested, the capabilities featured in the yak-130 can give any f16 a run for its money, the yak-130 is like a combination of an f16 and a jaguar, well suited for off-radar deep penetration, ground attack and surgical strikes. yak-130 is subsonic. The f-16 would eat it alive. |

IbnSultaan: su30 is expensive to maintain su27 upgraded version has almost similar capabilities the Russians are also adding up with it The maintainance cost of the SU-30 is a direct consequence of its sophistication. If Nigeria shy away from birds with high cost of maintainance, then forget 4G and forget the 21st century. Btw, i don't buy that upgraded Bullshitt. Get the real thing and be done with it. |

BishopMagic: The need of bombing Niger Delta communities that protest marginalisation and degradation of their community and environment abi? oh well. I have no arguments really. It is more of the devil and the deep blue sea. The niger-delta is a sitting duck for any foreign military incursion. Nigeria's most critical infrastructures are based in the niger-delta. |
Politics › Re: Fighter Plane Suggestion For Nigeria Airforce by CSTR2: 11:37pm On Aug 23, 2015 |
IbnSultaan: su30 Now this is the beast right here. There is no reason why Nigeria should not possess by far the largest number of su-30s in the continent. The need is obvious. |
Politics › Re: Fighter Plane Suggestion For Nigeria Airforce by CSTR2: 11:34pm On Aug 23, 2015 |
IbnSultaan: jf17 The jf-17 is decent, but relatively untested, has single engine and does not really have the endurance for long range strikes and total air coverage of a country of Nigeria's size without needing to refuel. Anything worth doing is worth doing well. Go for the the SU-30. |
Politics › Re: Fighter Plane Suggestion For Nigeria Airforce by CSTR2: 11:19pm On Aug 23, 2015 |
EVarn: What Nigeria needs is a "comprehensive advanced fighter jet programme". Firstly, our defence budget should be increased to at least $5bn{N1trn},then $15-20bn should be ear-marked for a compact 'airforce modernization programme' that would span a period of 8-10 years. The programme should involve summoning various advanced defence companies and fighter jet manufacturers from all over asia to present/showcase their most capable fighters jets and then we should kickstart a bidding process to select the best suited hardware of choice, after which we would order for at least 100-150 of the advanced, preferably 4++ generation fighter jets: such a large scale procurement would naturally come with training and comprehensive mainteinance kit,if we negotiate thoroughly,we would get technology transfer or even tactical technical cooperation. Enough of using outdated alpha jets,we should go for the SU27/30 and new MiG35 for advanced multirole fleet, then we should pick the new yak-130 advanced trainer instead of the JF-17. lol You give too much credit to Nigerian leaders if you expect them to understand this. The same nitwits that were ordering for useless F-7 air guards, when the likes of angola, uganda, rwanda were getting su-30s and can carry out long range deep strike attack against Nigeria uninterrupted. Chad currently has air superiority over Nigeria with their MIG-29 and SU-25s frogfoot interceptor. Nigerian leaders don't know a thing about territorial integrity. It befuddles the mind how a nation that depends on the sea for international oil transactions has no submarines nor a destroyer atleast, something relatively'' poorer ''countries like egypt and algeria already have for quite some time. The niger-delta that should be one of the most secured places on earth, rigged with batteries of s-400 systems and a permanent SU-30 detachment of atleast two squadrons, is as defenceless as dodo against any serious military invasion. Nigeria is a big joke. |

Seriously, it looks like a lot of people here are playing ostrich. You can hate israel all you want, but it dosen't change the facts. A war between israel and iran would be an outright victory for israel. Hell, the technological sophistication of both militarized nations are very far apart, and we all know which nation holds by far the higher technological ground. |

Yujin: This is exactly what I'm talking about. Don't complain to any buhari, leave him to do his mind and chart your own course. In the fullness of time he and those cheering him up will shake their heads in regret. Kudos to the governors of the SE and SS especially Uduaghan who saw the potentials of the collaborations and the present delta state governor Senator Ifeanyi Okowa who keying into the vision. I've always talked about the leadership qualities of our Anioma people. They have a big role to play in great Igbo nation and biafra at large. True. Anioma has leadership qualities. I think they are more diplomatic, calculative, and the most leadership oriented of the entire igbo ethnic group. Even the private sector is a testament to this fact. |

Politics › Re: The 7 Nigerian States With The Worst Debt Profile by CSTR2: 5:16pm On Aug 22, 2015 |
BishopMagic: Debt GDP portfolio should be considered first before drawing your list.
Lagos and Kaduna can easily manage what they owe .
While that of Cross River was taken during the Duke administration in lieu of oil revenue from Bakassi and those secede to Akwa Ibom. So in a way I won't blame Cross River but the useless Obasanjo and Nigerian state and besides all the money duke borrowed was duly utilised with evidence on ground to show for it.
Therefore your list must contain the following 2 at the top:
1. Osun : for having the misfortune and combined stup1dity in voting a vagrant slowpoke as their governor. Osun state now averages a total revenue base less than 600million. Coca cola sees more revenue flow than osun all thanks to aregberascal the Ooni Gbesse who has borrowed from every bank in the land.
2. Edo. For having the. Misfortune of electing a hedonistic womaniser who has borrowed to fund his ashewoe cravings. Edo has only one ashewoe expat as first lady to show for it. Debt/GDP portfolios only makes sense in sane climes with functional govts. What did the lagos state and kaduna govts do with their huge amounts of borrowed funds? That is the first and most important question. |
