Hi everyone. Nice job you guys.

Please I will need some clarifications about masters program in Canada

1) Most schools want first class and second class upper for masters. I was advised to do a postgraduate degree or postgraduate diploma or postgraduate advance diploma for 1 year in one of their colleges. Then apply for a masters program after.

2) But if I can get a good school to take me with 2:2 for an MBA or Masters in Information technology. I had 540 in my GMAT and 85 in my TOEFL plus 3 years work experience. I wont mind so far as the school is in a lively environment where I would meet other naijas and I would be able to get a good job there with the degree. I had previously applied to York University and Mcgill and they denied me based on GPA.

3) What accredited, reputable & recognized college can I do the Post graduate Diploma. Please put into consideration a very good state that is lively, I am already a bore don't need to end up in an asylum becos I am studying.

Please my main concern is a recognized accredited school, affordability, a good job after studies and a place that is lively.

Thank you

@ Aroy

Your interview showcased how vast and intelligent you are but this insult trading of yours is very degrading.

What I expected you to have done was to apologize to everyone for your outburst earlier considering everyone was just excited for you and wanted to rejoice with you. Don't be like the ungrateful team mate because we are all a team and you know within your heart that you got some inspiration of some sort from here.

Pride is a very dicey feeling. You better watch it so that you don't become a laughing stock in future. First impression really counts and we human beings are like water. You sound like a spoilt mummy's boy who has servants at his beck and call. This is not your palace. Caution!!!!!

An African man would never disrespect like that since you dnt know peoples age here and our culture does not permit such. You accused djunit of being American but you act like peeps from the bronx. You are not a custodian of our values in Nigeria. Proud to be african my big black arse.

@ house

Please lets call a spade, a spade and not sell our birth rites because of studies in the US. Aroy should apologize for turning this forum to a fight club because he started it.

@darlesky

You are indeed a real man with dignity and respect and its a major turn on. I like people standing for what is right.

@djunit

I wont take sides but I think you should have ignored Aroy since its obvious you have more important business in the US. And u sef u showed ur weakness too much. Some dirty linens are better in the closet. If not, reference would never have been drawn from you past experiences that u shared.

@House

You all have just given Aroy the kind of attention he seeked or craved for.

I have been away from this thread for a while now because we like dwelling on irrelevant issues.

Is it Aroy that we will be discussing when we get in front of a consular, I expected every one to move pass his post and be more productive.

Many insults are been thrown at the Spring 2011 candidates because we all rig of lack of confidence and youthful exuberance.

Lets be matured, useful and prayerful because that is what matters. Must Aloy share his story, does that mean his story is a determinant for you getting your visa, will mentioning his name to the consular attract favours for you. Is Aroy, God, hell no. What if his story will only raise fears for you & he is doing y'all a favor by concealing it.

Please everyone in this thread should grow up. How can a young lady be telling grown men with dicks how to behave.

Go and get your own visa and flaunt it to the thread and stop wasting precious time.

No muaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah for u guys today, Im pissed

@ house, all the sevis town criers should shut up before we drive all the gurus of fall 2010 away because of our arguments and persistence.

What is it sef, when we are not in Kindergarten. How are we going to face the consular when we cant even manage minor issues like this. In fact don't pay for the sevis and give us peace in this thread.

They have answered the Sevis issue like 20 times on this thread even me wey never pay for my sevis has addressed this issue a zillion times. Some of you sef, the institution you applied to has given you heads up about this sevis thing. You people just want to constitute a nuisance.

if you can't read the thread, im sure there are primary school pupils arnd ur zones that would read for u. Arrant nonsense!!!

I don't get abusive but we are too old for this shit, we are potential managers and see how unproductive we all are. Lets be swift, witty & prompt. This world is not for the living livered.
Travel › Re: General U.S.A (student) Visa Enquiries by Cuddlemii: 7:13pm On Nov 03, 2010
See, 2 people were denied visa. Let us leave all this sevis and lottery bullshit to rest. When u get to the consular, make all the inquiries you want about lottery & Sevis.

Let prepare well for the interview cos if u have all the documents in this life and you are too dumb to reply then your book keeping secretarial work would be in vain.

And for heaven's sake, read the damn post and save pple the hassles of repeating answers to questions that have been addressed here before.

You want to pay for Sevis, go to the border. If you are too busy, I am sure we have brothers keepers here who can help you when doing theirs.

Remember to Practice and Pray. As I said before Google has a lot of answers to the destination you are headed. learn to read tactically .

A week before your interview, you can holler me to drill you for the interview with likely question but hey I am tough so you better bring it.

Take note of:

1) The dean of ur degree
2) Mayor of the state u r going
3) Study the degree itself just incase the consular has a broad knowledge about the course
4) You must know why you picked the school from the others you applied to
5) Then other stuffs on nairaland but u even IT dumps, TOEFL & GMAT change when they see pple are passing too much or they sense fowl play so be ready for any kind of question.
6) Never make a point u can't defend

And for the old timers here, we are aware that you know too much so no need to prove yourselves to us. Infact I see the PHD title you all have. Save us all the poetics and lets focus on getting the hell out of this nation.

Spring 2011, Victory is ours, please don't forget our cocktail party in Jan at POE in Yankee.

Consular: Just come back for your visas, Nairalanders rock, you all are too brilliant

Us Visa thread (all of us): So this visa easy like this sef, O'boy, the interview was fantastic and all of us got our visa in this thread. Halleluyah!!!

Spring 2011 Warriors and gargoyles, We are strong, fierce, survivors, Witty and Wickerd. Its not easy at all.

Why are we always dwelling on irrelevant questions.

We would ask the same question 200 times when the answer is already above your post. First it was lottery, now sevis, next might be what food to eat on the day of your interview.

Fall 2010 candidates were very successful because they were resourceful and pro-active.

A friend of mine went through our thread and asked if some people just wanted to cut out of the country or were actually going for studies.

How can you be having an interview this month, you dont even know much about i-20 and your i-20 has not arrived, you are the same who asked what sevis was yesterday.

I am sure the lowest age we have here wld be 13 years old ( that's if u have a robot brain). Please let us act like matured people, if we can't conduct ourselves here then how would we act at the consulate.

Make una no allow fall 2010 dey use us laugh Oh. We go top their record.

NOTE: I am not insulting anyone in particular before the advocates wld start attacking me, I am only appealing that we should be very observant and strategic.

Guess what guys, I am inlove with someone on this thread, muaaaaaaaaaaah

@house : Sevis

Can a trustworthy, mentally fit and bright young man or lady that has schools in the US help to pay the SEVIS from or pay through a credit card  for us Nairalanders from there while the equivalent is paid into your naira account or domiciliary account over here.

Once the money is paid into your account here, you confirm and then the buyer sends you his details via email then you pay for the person. Shikena

Things involved:

1) The person must be whom you can vouch for and  his parents where about must be known so in case we need to kidnap someone

2) The person must have a Nigerian account and alert mechanism so as to know when money is payed into his account

3) Must have a school email address

How it would work:

1) People who want sevis should pay into the purchaser's account and send email with the details

2) The responsible purchaser would then pay for pple and send every necessary details and confirmation back to the customer.

I dont think this can work abeg, what was I thinking. When there are a lot of fraudulent people nowadays. Make the yankee person no carry our sevis money pay im tuition and carry opposite gender go club.

Sorry, the best way is to ask your peeps abroad to help you or u go across the border. But if you get best friend or person wey una start dating thru this thread wey don dey yankee already then u fit seduce am to pay for u while u pay anyhow.

But my idea above no bad but u must get someone who has integrity

Best of luck, muaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

See why I asked u pple to concentrate on relevant issues. I was playing consular and applicant with a November candidate in this thread only for him to ask me what sevis is, when he is already going for an interview soon. He was asking if it is needed.

Please lets get our priorities right. Their some other statements he made that were contradictory but I wont dwell into that. Please applicants should play "consular and applicant"(my creation) whereby someone would be asking an applicant questions for him or her to answer in preparation of its upcoming interview. You can do video or voice calls or chat, it doesn't have to be face to face. Hard questions please

I dey joke a lot but I chip in lucrative suggestions once in a while. A word is enough for the wise. "Eni awi fun ko gbo"

You know I can't leave without my signature greeting: U guys give me butterflies, muaaaaaah wow

My YM is the name i bear here or my user name here then add the rest "@, yahoo bla bla"

@Superbrain & chukx, Whatever. I am happily married with 2 girls, although I am still in search of a male son. I have been working for 12 years now at Ni post and guys, I don't need a man here. My husband is a kool hunk.

@house

Lets try and form more likely questions of what is asked at the consulate office cos the thread is becoming boring and it would help hopefuls practice.

My spirit tells me that questions like Who is the dean of your prospective course and who is the mayor of the state you are going to study is coming out, na expo be that O. It sound cheesy and absurd but its an idea that came to my head.

I think of u guys, muaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

@ keneylinks

I will advice you to get other schools. There are still some schools that will accept your scores. I used to know a few so I will paste them for you later. I am going for an MBA as well and trust me no one is obsessed with the degree as I am so I know everything relating to it.

It is not only GMAT or TOEFL that gets you into the MBA program. In fact you can get into the so called top schools. The trick is to apply early, write a good essay, submit your supporting documents and good recommendation on time.

You have to tell me your profile: GMAT Score, Work Experience, First degree, what concentration you want, location you want etc. But MBA application is a long process but God dey.

At first I applied to 3 schools for Fall 2010 and was denied because I applied to top schools and big names. I did my research and chose 4 good schools and got admitted to all.

So I will help you.

@ house

Have a passion for your degree so that you can defend it very well and when they wake u up from sleep, you can still explain it with ur eyes shut. Please research, google has short as it sounds, supplies so many info.

I admire you all, muaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

@naggy

How do you feel?

I don't know you, djunit or chux4life but If I was a consular, I wont allow Nigerians come to America.

How can an educational site or thread turn so aggressive. Is this a medium for pple to pour out their frustration? After you pple would call urselves educated but my ex bf is from a poor background, his English and manner is better than u so called US applicants.

I am female and I despise seeing men act like toddlers. What is it with visa lottery. Why don't you men (boys by behavior) get a new thread with the topic "Visa Lottery, e fit be u, once u apply u know need to go school " then leave us ambitious peeps to plan our future.

Thats how you pple wld waste time and lottery winners would leave u guys and go.

Please get a grip on urselves common. I was even thinking that I was going to get a new boyfriend amongst you guys wey I go wear sexy dress for, take ur time oh.

Naggy and ur name is quite appealing. Even djunit dey remind me of 50 cent, hope u work out me i no like big stomach o. Chux baby, my nigga for life, u sef too like trouble, philosopher by nature, I dont want a guy that wld make me cry to my friends oh.

Ok you guys should shake and make up as u guys can't kiss cos that would be gayish, u know

I love you all, let the best man win me, muaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

@house

Who is next in line, do u need any advice. Please who ever is next should always tell the house so we can send emails, discuss likely questions and pray for u. Remember its pray and practice
