Its like the CDHC is in a good mood. This one that they have been returning packages for correction on time when we just submitted. Thats a good sign that God acknowledges our input on nland. We shall overcome.

@Obie trice, dont worry when you get your package, you would rectify whatever error and submit. It might be a minor thing you omitted or a mistake you need to correct. I am sure its nothing to fret about. It is well dear. Didn't your bank statement have a duplicate copy. Just relax ok.

@eky102

I was not insulting you. Sorry about that.

"There are more chances that the college will take one because its a one year program and is quite expensive, so all they are interested is in your money" This statement says a lot. Its a polite insult, just like saying "Hello" then "Bitch" or "Beautiful" then "monster". You should have stopped at "quite expensive" but you just had to go there.

Well, its no biggy, its your opinion.

@ cuddlemii,

I think you are rigth. What probably helped my application surfix was the fact that i actually had a better performance in my last 2 years (300 and 400level), so i guess that added up the boost my chances, and also i was favoured by God to get a supervisor. Course of study also matters too.

@ all

The truth is this memorial university will tell you that with a 2.2 you meet their minimun requirement, but be aware that there are a thousand and one people applying to memorial not just from Nigeria , but from all over the world with better grades because of the low tuition so the department will definitely not recommend a 2.2 while they have a 2.1 on their desk. Like cuddlemi said, its best to apply to a university and a college. That increases ones chances, that was the same thing i did i applied to memorial and cenntenial college, and they both took me. There are more chances that the college will take one because its a one year program and is quite expensive, so all they are interested is in your money.Hope this helps! All the best
Do you just write because you need to say something or you are contributing to the thread. Is it because Memorial accepted you with a 2:2 thats why you have to say such nonsense. If Memorial kicked your arse, wont you have ended up in the college too.

You just insulted everyone going to college and you need to apologize. Other universities other than Memorial charge high as well so why did you have to specify rather than generalizing.
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada by Cuddlemii: 9:32am On May 18, 2011
Where did peeps get the concept of 2:2 as a requirement for Memorial University. I think this 2:2 thingy is the same standard for all schools in Canada. Even with GMAT, GRE, TOEFL etc, it would take God's divine decree to get admission into a masters program. Even marple ( visa application crooner) told me then that I needed to do a PGD to get into a masters degree cos 2:2 wont suffice.

So future hopefuls, if you have a 2:2, apply for a masters degree and PLEASE A PGD AS BACK UP JUST IN CASE. Canada is one country Ive seen and experienced that they don't jeopardize or compromise their degree standard. A friend of mine that is a genius and close to a 2:1 was denied too for a masters degree.

@obietex,

I just went through the website. Its a good and unique course. Look at the 17k as an investment. Above all, I am sure u have a passion for this field of study thats what counts. Besides the employment that comes with it is very diverse and quite interesting.

@gel03 and other Memorial hopefuls

I just got admitted to Memorial a few mins ago. I applied for MS Computer Science and was recommended for the Course/Project Route with Work Term instead of the Thesis Route which I originally applied for (maybe they think I ain't got enough research potential or I've got too much work/professional experience, na dem sabi).

Bad news is I ain't getting any funding but then there's a compulsory one-semester paid internship which i find attractive for canadian experience. Good news is that tuition is below 6k for the entire 20-month program!!!

I know it could take a few more weeks for Offer Letter to reach me in Nigeria, possibly early or mid-June. Do you guys think it will still be feasible to apply for a study permit by then?
Congrats dear. I would advice you to ask them to send you a soft copy of your offer of acceptance then print it out with a coloured printer. Secondly ask them if they can courier it to you that you wont mind bearing the cost that you can pay via credit card or whatever.

If not for poverty and illitracy in the economy, what would drive a vibrant young man like you to be begging for alms in an undefined manner. I hope you don't loose your sanity in this madness. @ all,

Please i need a sample of Statement of purpose letter (SOP). And please is there a space on the form for me to write it or i just write in a seperate sheet of paper?
Please reply!!
Email is. - ekeneifeobu@yahoo.com

Thanks
Dude, seriously you crack me up. SOP is meant to be on a seperate piece of paper. If you have downloaded the forms and gone through this thread as I adviced then you would know that there is no section of SOP for you to fill. What you have that is similar is the study permit questionnaire.

I don't really understand that NYSC part but I know almost all country's ask for it. There must have been some documentation that NYSC people gave you for being exempted or whatever. I am submitting my own NYSC cert.

You can submit your Statement of acc if you want. If not, your pay slips are fine.

Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada by Cuddlemii: 3:09pm On May 13, 2011
Why are you all confusing and contradicting yourself about the forms to fill. Some of you would say the forms on the main Canadian website should be used, some say the ones of Nigerian website. Please past applicants please verify which ones are the the right ones and If its necessary to fill the fields on the computer.

Please when we are not sure about things lets veriify before we spoil peoples chances with probability.

Its south africa, was just going to be there for a couple of weeks, a freind of mine is coming from the US and we both planned to spend a week or 2 there,just wiith the season of Big broher. So are you saying i leave my admission and go for vacation? That doesn't really make sense to me. But hit me upp let mee know sup?
Lolzzzzzzzzz. I used to think I was the only one on here that gives out too much details. Do you have other visas apart from the unused one?
When is the start date of your program.

@chizquare

I think there is a declaration or documents to that effect that is attached to the passport. Change of name thingy. I think She would use her marriage certificate for that.

@ cindel f
My company is my sponsor

@Obietrix

Yes I am submitting my Pay Slips.
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada by Cuddlemii: 8:37am On May 10, 2011
@cindel f

Yeah there is a notary public red stamp thingy that my Chairman signed yesterday stating that the company is sponsoring me and that if at the any point financial situation changes, my studies should be terminated and I should be sent back.

He also signed my Sponsorship Letter and claimed that the company is sponsoring me up to the tune of $27,000 CAD. Hope this amount is enough to cover everything as my tuition fee is $12,000 CAD.

Do I still need to submit pay slips? If yes, how many months pay slip? Is my own statement of account necessary as I dont have any money in it and I am not sponsoring myself.

How far with yours?
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada by Cuddlemii: 5:30pm On May 09, 2011
@all

My office only gave me sponsorship letter and Notary Sworn Affidavit of Support signed by the Chairman and scrapped the study leave letter. They said the two docs are contradicting eachother. Thats its either your company is sponsoring you and you are coming back to work for them obviously OR you are going on study leave on your own without the support of the company. No board resolution as well.

I trust God to do his will.

@ house,

Me i am confused, i don't think i can fill tha visa application myself, and everybody is saying maple? Please i need help from people would have succesfully goten their study permit, how did you do this please? Did you use an ageent? Or. You filled it yourrself? I need to submit my application by ending of this month, i already got admission, i just need help in filling the form and knowing what necessary document to. Submit!

Hope to hear from y'all
Thanks
@ eky 102

Are u asking this question for real?

The answer is simple, go through the thread. Peeps have pasted visa application requirements like a million times on this thread. Even recently we September hopefuls have addressed requirements issue. As for all the people that got visa on this thread, most of them did it on their own so using Marple is entirely your decision. Although people have sang praises about Marple, they are actually good but definately not cheap.

Go through the thread, a lot of useful info right here! If after u go through the thread (even if its 10 pages) and you dont get the requirements then you can ask for help again.

And please rephrase your first sentence, what do you mean by you cant fill the visa application yourself. There are just 3 forms, easy and straight forward . Download them on the cic website and see if you cant fill them yourself, then call me although my hand writting is bad sha, Lolz. Dont mind me!

@ Cuddlemii,

All the documents you have would suffice. Be aware that, any letter from your organisation should be on the company's letter head, signed, sealed, and dated. All photocopies of documents should carry the company's stamp and seal. Don't worry about the 2010 audited financial report, it takes a lot of procedure to get it done.

Good luck!!!

P*S

Do we have a mutual friend? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Thank you for your response, I appreciate it. You had to form an army against me abi, trust me Ive been getting a lot of lectures about Memorial University. We are all friends!!!

Get a Guarantor ready as you have to fill that field on the application
